Jeaux does nothing in the back row
-
OOC: She's immune to all negative effects, but I guess there's no harm in using him anyway Jeaux talks to Turdwing to see if he might be interested in their current opponent, "Bzzz! Bzzz![You bet big pooper! That rotting meatsack almost makes me feel like a newly hatched maggot!]" The fly begins to buzz around the paladin's head.

This post probably muddled things a bit. It's similar to a 2x multiplier against beasts, only not quite as powerful since it only doubles the WP and not the total damage.
-
It is +4 WP, or at least it was when the item was first created. The original description was "Hunter’s Crossbow (WP: 4/8 against beasts)". I'm guessing it was changed to +4 against beasts since the original WP could be upgraded, but I don't think the +4 modifier was changed from Weapon Power to Power.

"Heckz, if you are going to cast a spell, you should utilize your Amethyst and maximize your damage. Though you may want to consider using that Nostrum on Sarge, he's quite a bit more battle-hardened and I am sure he would gladly pay you back for it after the fight." Jeaux observes the battle from the back row
-
OOC: You should probably put Jeaux above Sarge in the battle order since he is buffing him with a mead
-
Jeaux reaches into his briefcase and pulls out a mead, using it on Sarge

"I'm afraid I fail to see the difference, but if you wish us to restore you to prior state I have no issue with that request." Jeaux addressed the doctor who seemed to be turning, somehow, an even paler shade of white. "If this was science than the experiment can be reproduced and with a more willing subject, but if she should kill you then your scientific advancements and all you have accomplished here will die with you tonight."
-
"This doctor has given you a second chance at life, a second opportunity for you to continue imposing the will of your god on others and you condemn him for it. If he had merely cured a disease you suffered from would he be violating Ennoc's will then, or should he have left you to perish? What makes death so special that all who seek to cure it are judged by you as evil?" Jeaux asked these questions, not with an air of condemnation, but rather with a hint of curiosity. Everyone, Paladins especially, seemed to value life and would go to great lengths to preserve it. So why would this woman be so opposed to one who could restore it?

I was at first, but I started to find it a bit too limiting to be playing him as something he was not so I setup a small reveal scene for him. I actually had it planned for when one of the lizards on Terra Nova managed to KO him, but it never happened so I instead inserted it into the hall thread shortly after returning.

Though he does look pretty cool as an assassin
-
Evoker is the current plan for him.

Jeaux gives 26 gold to Sarge along with both gold rings and kept 10 gold plus the grand tonic for himself before turning his attention to the understandably agitated paladin. "It would seem he has brought you back to life. If you would care to know why or how he did so, you may want to ease your grip on his throat and give him an opportunity to respond."

Sarge attacks the brain once with his halberd, then again if Heckz still has any ether. If Heckz still has ether Jensen attacks the brain from the back row, and if Heckz still has ether Jeaux attacks the brain from the back row as well. Party Order >Heckz Sarge vs Brain Sarge vs Brain (if Heckz has ether) >Jensen vs Brain (if Heckz has ether) >Jeaux vs Brain (if Heckz has ether) >Jeaux vs Brain (if Heckz has ether)

Jeaux tells Turdwing to try snacking on the brain they were facing, while he uses his last health core on himself. Sarge attacks the brain once with his halberd. If the party was not affected by special damage, then Jensen attacks the brain. If the party still was not affected by special damage, Sarge will attack the brain once again with the halberd. Party Order >Jeaux(Turdwing) vs Brain >Jeaux (Healthcore) >Heckz >Sarge vs Brain (Halberd) >Sarge vs Brain (Halberd) (If no successful special damage) >Jensen vs Brain (if no successful special damage)

OOC: Forgot to switch to Eminus, but otherwise a great round. And just one correction, Jensen was in the back row so he would have dealt 11 damage. Jeaux watched as McEncy finally started to live up to the title of party leader. He quickly dispatched two of their opponents and managed to stave off the blows from the third. He fired a round from his new handcannon and watched as the lighning arced through the air seemingly useless against the lump of grey matter. Jeaux spoke to his new flying friend, <"Do you think you may be able to distract the zombie over there, you may find him rather tastey">. As Jeaux spoke he pointed to the remaining flesh golem Steveson. Jeaux uses Turdwing on Stevenson, Sarge attacks Stevenson (Twice) and the Left Hand (& Right) from the front row, Jensen continues his attack on the Right Hand from the back row (If right hand is dead, attack left, if both hands are dead do nothing), and Jeaux fires an arrow from Eminus at the Brain from the back row (If everyone but Stevenson is dead then Jeaux will do nothing). Party Order >Jeaux using Turdwing on Stevenson Sarge vs Stevenson (dual) Sarge vs Left Hand (& Right) >Jensen vs Right Hand >Heckz (Ice) vs Left Hand >Jeaux vs Brain (Eminus) Edit: Added Heckz's action

Sarge attacks Shelly (Twice) and Stoker (Twice) from the front row, Jensen attacks the Right Hand from the back row, and Jeaux uses one of his smelling salts followed by an attack on the Brain from the back row Party Order Sarge Sarge Jensen Heckz Jeaux OOC: Crossing my fingers

How would it affect a player that was struck by that weapon due to hexed or confused?
-
"We may as well make ourselves known if everyone feels prepared for a fight."
-
"Very likely, you and I both know that not all undead are violent; however the majority do seem to be. I think the more information we can gather, the better prepared we will be for whatever circumstances we encounter."
-
I merely suggested an idea, all of the class was a result of your amazing skill for illustrative story telling
-
Jeaux conveys what the fly had told him to the rest of the party without using quite the same colorful language, "It sounds like there are at least 3 corpses behind this door. Two of them are animated and thus likely undead, the third is an unknown ..." He then inquired further regarding the "mouth-watering" substance the fly had discovered, <"What kind of mouth-watering stuff are you referring to.">

Heroica RPG - Expert Job Class Discussion
joeshmoe554 replied to LEGOman273's topic in The Heroica Archive
I'm not sure I would call that a mini-Lucky effect since it makes the party immune to damage and special damage rolls while tripling the odds of a shield roll. I like the idea of overheal, since a level 30 player will often have a higher healing potential than a player's maximum hit points. I think using a variant on roots of life, perhaps with a blessed status effect since this is a priest, would work rather well given the power of that ability and the power added to the class from overheal. -
Jeaux assumed, given the rather enthusiastic attitude the fly had regarding the bucket of waste, that crap-tastic was a good thing. <"I was hoping you might be able to do a little bit of scouting for me. I am far too large to remain as stealthily hidden as yourself.">

Jeaux responds to Heckz's question in a hushed tone, while looking for the flying insects. "There are multiple individuals having a discussion, along with some sort of buzzing noise that prevented me from hearing what they had to say."
