  1. Day Three: In The (Ball) Pits Late into the night, Rider Raider, cosplaying as Doc Brown, returned to the convention hall where the group had gathered earlier in the day. He got on his hands and knees and scoured the floor. "Confound it all, where did my glasses go to. I had them earlier..." He didn't notice the individual sneaking up behind him, cautious to not make any noise. "Great Scott!" Rider Raider called out, having noticed a shadow loom over him. He turned around a pointed an accusatory figure at the person behind him. "You've come to murder me, haven't you, Lady K?" Lady K, cosplaying the Eleventh Doctor, shook her head. "Heavens, no." She replied. "I'm merely here to discuss theories on time and space with you. Can I help you look for something?" "Oh, thank heavens. Yes, you can help me look for something. I've lost my glasses. I think they may have fell out on the floor in here. Could you help me look for them?" Rider Raider asked. "Gladly." Replied Lady K. The two time travellers got on their hands and knees and began searching for Rider's glasses. Elsewhere, Stickfig, cosplaying as Hera Syndulla, was waiting outside of a hotel room waiting to be invited in. Room party invites had gone out, but Stickfig was pretty sure he was early. Patiently killing time, Stickfig observed their surroundings, taking in the decor of the hotel until they noticed a figure appear out of the darkness. "Oh, it's you." Stickfig waved to Kintobor, the moderator, as he approached the door with a mug full of some kind of hot beverage. "You're not here to mod kill me, are you?" Oh, no." Kinto replied. "I got an invite to a room party and I needed some time to relax. Hosting a mafia game is hard work." Stickfig grinned. "So, any chance I could get some secret info? Who's who and what roles are in play?" Kinto groaned. "I can tell you, but then I'd have to mod kill you." -DAWN OF THE THIRD DAY- Day broke, as the remaining cosplayers returned to the convention hall where they had been meeting for the past two days. Rider Raider and Lady K were discussing time travel, while Bob and Khscarymovie4 argued over pirate hats. Sakura lingered near the projector screen, fiddling with the control panel that had been left on the table since everyone had arrived. The projector quickly turns on, with Kintobor getting into position to fill the cosplayers in. "Well, I have to say, this is interesting. I only have one alignment to reveal to you today, and it's Foreman's. Last night was suspiciously quiet. Seemingly no one was murdered in their sleep. Curious... Even more curious is the fact that despite he claimed to be scum and then the jester, Foreman, who was cosplaying as Finn, turned up to be Town aligned. He was never aligned with the scum, and I have no idea why they'd even claim to be scum. Strange! I was hoping for a bit more excitement last night, but it is what it is. To add some amount of depth to the game, I'm including a ball pit. It's not very deep, and it's not particularly wide, but it has a vibrant array of colours! It only fits four of you at a time, so please take turns, and don't be in longer than an hour. Even with this included ball pit, I expect results. I'll see you all in a bit to check up on your progress." Kintobor's stream ends as the projector stops playing. Sakura takes a seat on the table and crosses her legs, silently watching the group with her unblinking eyes as they begin the third day's discussion. 2. Day Three will be a little late getting up. It’ll be posted tomorrow. My apologies to everyone.
  3. The mob had spoken, and Foreman, cosplaying as Finn, was to be the first player to be executed by the mob. Forresto, cosplaying as Wonder Woman, spearheaded the accusation as Rider Raider, cosplaying as Doc Brown, and fhomess, cosplaying as Chell, held the panicking Foreman in place. "Alright, Foreman, it's over! We've come to a near unanimous agreement to vote you out! What do you have to say about that, other than you're scum like you've admitted to already?" Forresto asked, feeling a great sense of justice course through them. The only thing that'd make this better would be if they had their Lasso of Truth with them. Foreman began to look twitchy. "Alright, I admit it, I'm scum! Not only that, but I've got something else to admit! I'm going to kill one of you! Right here, right now! Whaha!" Foreman pulled out an object from his jacket, raising it into the air! Everyone panicked, with Rider Raider and fhomess letting go of Foreman. As they fled away from Foreman who merely stood by the projector, waving the object of doom about, something truly unexpected happened. From beneath the table a figure leaped into action. They were covered from head to toe in a flesh coloured fabric that seemed to match to their curves: not a blemish could be seen on it. Their head was seemingly larger than most. Her facial features were cartoon-esque, exaggerated and still: clearly a mask. They were dressed in a typical sailor's outfit. A streak of blue light erupted from a hilt drawn from the figure's satchel as they raised it high. With one quick swipe, Foreman was no more, their head taken clean off their body! Foreman dropped the item he was holding, the condiments topping it staining the carpet. The masked figure stepped around the table, extinguishing the blade as she looked over her handy work. A crowd surrounded Foreman's body, keeping their distance from the woman who had just taken out the accused. The projector turned on quickly. "Forgot to mention, no outside food or drink! It's a health and safety thing so don't blame me. Seems like a lucky coincidence that the individual holding the hotdog was also the individual you decided to eliminate. Congratulations on almost unanimously coming to your verdict in axing off Foreman. I'm impressed at the speed of that bandwagon. I'm certain you're all wondering who the woman with the lightsaber is, so I'll fill you in. You can call her Sakura. She's going to be my little helper from here on out, since I'm currently holed up in a control room. Yes, definitely a control room. Sakura doesn't want anyone to know her identity, so in keeping with the theme of the game, we came to the agreement that she could participate through the obscure form of cosplay known as animegao kigirumi. Use your phones to look it up. You all do have phones, don't you? Or did I confiscate them? I don't actually remember... Needless to say, it's now officially night. I'll have Foreman's alignment ready to present to you all tomorrow. Also, don't worry about Sakura. If you play nice or don't get voted off you won't be dealing with her. Get those night actions in and have a pleasant sleep! I'll see you tomorrow. Hopefully." The stream went out as the projector stopped. Weary and tired from their second day, the crowd dispersed as Sakura lingered to clean up the mess.
  4. I have no interest in running a Heroica Mafia. In terms of Karie making cameo appearances... that's another story. I intend to have Karie show up in the hall thread in a bit if anyone wants to finish up any business with her.
  5. Thank you, Foreman, for joining us for Kintobor's Cosplay Mafia!

  12. I just posted Karie's. I'm still not fully over it, knowing that I've put the end of Karie's story forward. I'm happy to have seen it through to the end, but after playing her for nearly six years I'm feeling a little bittersweet to see her go off into the sunset to have her happy ending.
  13. -Spring- Karie found herself at a place she seemed to find herself at more often than one would like to admit. The spring air breeze blew lazily amongst the flowers she had planted a month prior around the tombstone. In all aspects it was a beautiful day: white, puffy clouds lazily drifted in the sky as the sound of birds chirping seemed to be the only thing wanting to be heard in the cemetery. She looked at the engraving denoting who had been buried there time and time again. She felt a sobering, somber sense of remorse slowly wash over her. "I thought I'd find you here, Veteran. It feels like it's been centuries since I saw you last." A familiar voice spoke up from behind her. Karie turned around, startled not from the intrusion, although she had seemingly lost focus, but from who she recognized was approaching. Her step sister, Amelia, made her way through the other headstones and markers, adorned in one of her familiar blue outfits. Her hair was tied back, looking much more mature than the last time Karie saw her. "Your husband told me I could find you here, Karie." Karie hadn't seen her sister, Amelia, in months, years maybe, even though they had been responding through letters and the occasional parcel at Grogmas. Karie hugged her stepsister as she approached, happy to see an unexpected but not unwelcome guest. "Hey, uh... sis." Karie let go, noticing that her sibling in law had brought with her a small bouquet of spring flowers. Karie wiped away a few tears. "Thanks for the gesture. I appreciate it." Amelia knelt down to place the flowers in front of the tombstone, clasping her hands as she rose. "Mind telling me what you're doing in Eubric?" Karie asked. Amelia sighed, looking displeased. "Father's looking into the merger. He's not impressed. He's never impressed when the Shadeux actually meddle with his own shipping and furniture business." Amelia laughed. Karie chuckled to herself, shaking her head. "Well, that and he's here to see you, Karie. When he heard that you'd been nominated as a Veteran he nearly fell out of his wheelchair. He's done little but talk about you since we arrived in the city." "Maxwell's in wheelchair now?" Karie asked worryingly. Amelia nods. "He started using it about two months ago. He started having trouble getting around. I know it bothers him deeply, but there's little we can do. He used to walk the workshop and make furniture when he could, giving it out to the poor. He can't anymore." Amelia looked the tombstone over as Karie's gaze turned it's attention back to it. Karie knew what was written in the stone, but for Amelia, this was her first time reading the words to herself. They both stood there for a moment before Karie interrupted the silence. "I saw her, Amy. She was right in front of me. I hadn't seen her since I was three, but I could tell it was her." Amelia looked at her sister with concern, but let her continue. "I had so much I wanted to tell Kayla about: my adventures, my family, how much I missed her... and then she was gone. The dream ended. And I haven't been able to get it out of my head." Karie continued to look at the tombstone as she spoke. "She told me she'd never leave me again. And then the dream collapsed." Karie looked at her feet. She had talked to her husband about it, but doing so didn't seem to help her. She still found herself coming her at least once a week and reminiscing memories she didn't have at Kayla's grave, the grave she paid to have erected and her sister's remains moved to. She didn't want her to be forgotten in the Hanging Gardens. "I don't know, I've just thought for so long that I'd never see her again and then she appeared in front of me and now I don't know what to think." Amelia worriedly turns to look at her sister, trying to piece her sister together. She grinned knowingly through her rosy lipstick when she believed she had Karie figured out. She spoke to her sister-in-law calmly, knowing Karie was hurting. "You met your sister, but you never got to talk to her. You'll never know if she was the woman everyone told you she was." "Yeah." Karie took a deep breath, trying to hold back the waterworks. Amelia came over to console her sister as she began to cry. The two stood by the grave for some time before Karie was spent, sniffling. "Thanks, Amelia. Thanks for being here. I appreciate it." Amelia smiles. "We're sisters, Karie. It's what I'm here for." The two linger around Kayla's grave for a few more moments before the two begin to leave. Karie knelt down and placed her Heirloom Dagger next to the grave, silently thanking her sister for giving it to her. "So, what's it like being a Veteran, to have people looking up to you?" "Better than one would imagine. I've already had people confront me, asking for my hand in marriage. I'm in full "Veteran Karie" attire when this happens, too: white face paint, guitar strapped to my back, decked in swords. I leave them all disappointed." Amelia and Karie laugh together. "Oh, lord. By the way, Karie, I forgot to mention something to you." Amelia flashes a gold ring towards Karie. The Veteran looked at it, happily surprised. "You're engaged?!" "I don't think you'd like him, he's far too provincial for your liking." Amelia laughed, ribbing her sister. "Richter came with us for the trip, too. He's currently with father at your place." "You just dropped dad and your fiancée at my place with Masson- no, wait, you're marrying one of the Belmont boys?!" Amelia continued to laugh as Karie continued to prod her sister Amelia for questions about her fiancée. She quickly joined in her sister's mirthful attitude as the two made their way out of the cemetery. Karie finally felt a sense of resolve in her that she hadn't felt in some time. She would work to build this city up, to make it a place for everyone: a city capable of giving a second chance. She knew that although she'd probably never see her sister, Kayla, ever again, her sister's vision for a brighter, more prosperous city would come true. Karie would see to it.
  14. Current Vote Count: Wonder Woman (Forresto), 4 Votes (Khscarymovie4, Mostly-Technic, KotZ, Foreman) Mad-Eye Moody (Mostly-Technic), 2 Votes (fhomess, Asphalt) Batgirl (Tariq J), 1 Vote (LegoMonorailFan) Hector Barbossa (Khscarymovie4), 1 Vote (Bob) The Joker (Asphalt), 1 Vote (Tariq j) Finn (Foreman), 1 Vote (Forresto) Chell (fhomess), 1 Vote (Stickfig) --- With 13 players, a majority of 7 is needed to lynch. 24 hours remain in the day. A reminder that not voting will result in a vote penalty the following day.
  15. "Voting is now open. With 13 players a majority of seven is needed to lynch. Also, a brief reminder that the third floor of the hotel is completely prohibited to all cosplayers. Anyone who enters there will meet certain death. That is all."
  16. "There are no clues or hints in the images, or in the flavour text."
  17. "By my accounts he's still alive. If he's not present in The Dead section, then the player is still alive. I will add, because usually this doesn't need to be stated, but there are no clues or hints in the images. I'll add the rule to the first post just so we're all clear."
  18. Thank you, jluck, for joining us for Kintobor's Cosplay Mafia! Sorry to see you go so early.
  19. Day Two: And Now His Watch Has Ended Night descends on the convention centre hosting KintoCon as many of the attendees drift into an uneasy sleep. Some of the con-goers have a different attitude, as they slink about the halls of the empty hotel and convention centre, looking for something to help their cause. Jluck, cosplaying as the elf Legolas Twinleaf, quietly roams the halls of the hotel, attempting to get a good lay of the land. "Perhaps," he thought, "I can find a secret path out of here, or stumbling into something incriminating." "Legolas? Is that you?" Someone called out in the darkness. The rushed towards the elf, a long object in hand. "Legolas, thank goodness it's just you! Here, I found something that might be useful." Even in the dim lighting, Jluck could tell it was a gleaming and sturdy looking longsword: something he could use to help his friends! "This is a wonderful find. Hand it over and we'll keep this between us." "Gladly." The figure stated. With speediness jluck had never seen, the figure raised the sword above their head, ready to strike! "A betrayal!" jluck yelled, but it was too late. The sword slashed across his chest, knocking him to the ground. He was dead before he hit the carpet. "Better get out of here. Who knows who else lingers in these halls." The shadowy figure muttered, running off into the shadow as jluck's blood spilt across the carpet. Elsewhere, Bob, dressed as Superman, but acting more like a pirate, scoured the hotel for more nautical caps. He pilfered one off of Khscarymovie4, who was dressed as Captain Barbossa, but Bob knew he needed more if he was to truly become a pirate to be feared. "Yarr, there must be something to wear in these here halls!" Little did Bob know, but a shadowy figure emerged from one of the hotel rooms, their naked, hatless head observing the Man of Steel. Slowly the figure creeped upon Superman until they pounced! A swift kick in the megablocks was all it took to bring Superman to his knees! As he tumbled, the figure snagged the hat off of Superman's head! "Yar har, me bucko! Next time you're going to have to try harder if you want to steal a hat as magnificent as this!" The shadowy figure chortled as they placed the hat back on their head, where it rightfully belonged! Superman tumbled to the ground, holding onto his rear, the pain making it hard to stand. "No! Me nautical cap! Curse you, shadowy figure! I'll send ye to Davy Jones' Locker! Come back here you bilge rat!" Superman stumbled about as he tried to recover from his brutal megablocks-kicking. The thief silently slipped off into the night, the sound of rattling bones following them as they disappeared... The following morning the remaining cosplayers returned to the convention hall where they had all assembled the day prior, only this time one of them was missing. Fresh pizza and pop had been placed out, ready for consumption. Asphalt, cosplaying the Joker, couldn't help but laugh as Bob (Superman) arrived, clutching his megablocks and his head bare and naked. Khscarymovie4, dressed as Barbossa, brushed the brim of their reacquired hat as Superman brooded angrily. The projector turned on as the game's host returned to address the crowd. The cosplayers turned their attention to him as their host put aside a steaming hot mug. The contents of the cup were seemingly unknown. "Good morning, and welcome to Day 2. Alright, let's get this over with. jluck, who was cosplaying as Legolas, was murdered last night. Upon examination of his body, we discovered that the elven cosplayer was Town. Shockingly, that was the only murder that happened while most of you were being well behaved and sleeping. I have nothing else to speak to you about for now. Try not to get your megablocks kicked too hard." As Kintobor's feed cut and the projector stopped, the group convened for the second day of discussion at KintoCon. --- Non-Player Cosplayers Kintobor, cosplaying as Grand Moff Kinto (Moderator) The Cosplayers Tariq j, cosplaying Batgirl fhomess, cosplaying Chell Rider Raider, cosplaying Doc Brown LegoMonorailFan, cosplaying Ellie Sattler Foreman, cosplaying as Finn Khscarymovie4, cosplaying as Hector Barbossa Stickfig, cosplaying as Hera Syndulla mostlytecnic, cosplaying as Mad-Eye Moody KotZ, cosplaying as Oroku Karai Bob, cosplaying as Superman Lady K, cosplaying as the Eleventh Doctor Asphalt, cosplaying as the Joker Forresto, cosplaying as Wonderwoman The Dead jluck, cosplaying as Legolas Twinleaf. 20. Day 1 thread is (theoretically) locked. Please refrain from posting in a Day thread once that Day is over.
  21. "Eh, do what you gotta do. Our mutual friend isn't going anywhere anytime soon."
  22. As the day wore on, the collective of cosplayers could not come to a majority to determine who to lynch. Emotions ran high as two attendees dressed as Hera Syndulla and Ellie Sattler seemingly gained traction. Before either of them could gain enough momentum to be removed from the game a buzzer went off and the group's host, Kintobor, reappeared on the projector screen. "Are we coming in clear? Excellent. It's come to my attention that you all have decided not to eliminate a player. This is a disappointing development. Needless to say, I won't be keeping you all her in this room. That'd be unhygienic. I've booked the entirety of this convention hall AND the hotel, so if you could proceed to your rooms for the evening that'd be most appreciative. Oh, and don't try to escape. You'll find that attempting to leave the convention centre before the game is over will have... explosive results." With his ominous words foretold, the group heads to their rooms for the night, hoping for a peaceful night's rest.
  23. The ACTUAL Final Vote Count for Day One: Hera Syndulla (Stickfig): 3 Votes (Foreman, LegoMonorailFan, mostlytechnic) Wonder Woman (Forresto): 1 Vote (KotZ) Superman (Bob): 1 Vote (Asphalt) Batgirl (Tariq j): 1 Vote (Khscarymovie4) Ellie Sattler (LegoMonorailFan): 5 Votes (Rider Raider, jluck, fhomess, Tariq j, Forresto) Legolas Twinleaf (jluck): 2 Votes (Stickfig, Bob) Mad-Eye Moody (mostlytechnic): 1 Vote (Lady K) --- With 14 players a majority of 8 is needed to lynch. With no majority reached, the day ends with no lynch. Day One is now over. You have 48 hours to send in your night action. A conclusion for the day will be posted shortly.
  24. Karie moves to Pretzel. "I'll take your gear you no longer need and put it somewhere. I'll make sure that if anyone wants anything they can snag it themselves." Karie says, holding her arms out to take the equipment. "I think Heroica needs to be independent of the city: we're here for everyone, not just it's elites. If you need to train to be a High Cleric, feel free to do so. The training facilities are still open." Karie extends Pretzel a hand, giving him a grin. "Pretzel, take care, and safe journeys to you." "Absolutely not!" Karie proclaims! "You'll do no such thing! I doubt we could find a desk to fit you behind!"
  25. Pretty much what Mystic said. Karie's said her peace and has put forth the notion that she's ready to lock the hall doors for the day and come back tomorrow. She's got no real interest in arguing over politics or badgering about who should or shouldn't be a veteran: she wants to get home and make sure her family's safe but feels obliged to stay in the hall just to make sure nothing breaks out. I'll have more to say on Heroica v2.0 once everything has been said and done in 159, as well as my thoughts on the game in general. As for the "Eurobricks is dying", I doubt that's the issue. BotBS and Historica are seemingly still doing fine. People got burnt out: I got burnt out. Well, Byblos is still alive, so Torald's probably not dead, just... in a really awful predicament.
