Can't say I disagree with the sentiment of my colleagues. Moles will be terminated in a highly comedic fashion.

I think the only thing they give us is walkie talkies. The members of GO-Team have gotten very good at apprehending bad guys with them. Moles? In this department? More likely than I thought... GO-Team is more used to a "use zip-lines, ask questions later" approach, but we should be able to operate in this type of setting.

Saw Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse, and loved it. Easily one of the best films I've seen in awhile, and the best Spiderman movie ever. I might honestly like it more than Avengers: Infinity War. It's going to be hard to beat this film in terms of sheer entertainment.

24: Mafia - Confirmation and Discussion
Kintobor replied to KotZ's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I see Zip has already zipped in here. I can assure you, Zip is a professional when it comes to zipping too and fro from building to building. The name's White. Jason White, and if there's moles somewhere in the CTU, they'll be rooted out sooner rather than later. -
I'm playing through Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for the first time. As much as I hate current day Konami, they have some classic games, and this is one of them. I'm really loving it's emphasis on exploration, and the soundtrack is amazing.

General Discussion and Announcements
Kintobor replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Nice. That gives me time to put some thought into my next game, which I'm tentatively calling "Battle of the Bands Mafia". Expect to see a Scandinavian death metal band, a bagpipe soloist, a Showa era idol, and a theremin performer all in a mafia game sometime soon. -
Guilty as charged. I'm ready to step back into the Mafia scene! 1. Well, I just hosted a game, and last time I played I was murdered Night One while on an intergalactic battle station, so I'd say I do have some experience. 2. I can definitely commit to the time provided. 3. Let's see how small the font can get... AND HOW BIG THE FONT CAN GET!!!

Just wanted to drop in here and say that Zombieland Saga is really good. I'm not particularly into the idol genre, at all, but this one really grabbed me and took me for a ride I don't think I'm going to forget anytime soon. Good stuff! -
Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars RPG - Game Development

I don't believe the portal was fundamentally agreed upon, either. I can't see it happening until lat 2019, but I'd be more than willing to help hammer some things out, even play-test if need be. I'm going to go over some of the mechanical stuff when I have a chance to. -
Kintobor's Cosplay Mafia Conclusion: Save and Quit
Kintobor replied to Kintobor's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Basically what I've wanted to say has already been said, but I'll add on a bit more to my thought process going into crafting this particular game. I decided on three scum in order to ensure the game didn't end too early. The first game I ran ended on Day Three with four scum, and I was a little disappointed it didn't go on for very long. I wanted both teams to be relatively even in terms of their power, but I admit that the scum might've been at a slight disadvantage. In order to help, I negated a Town Role Blocker and Doctor by simply using the Jailer, a role I've become rather fond of. I find it's a lot more strategic than Doctor and also evens out the playing field by removing a power role in the town by combining two roles into one. Night Two was great, since both parties had completely jumped the gun on what actually. The scum feared they'd been blocked, and the jailer believed they'd snagged the scum killer, both of which were wrong. It was a fun chain of events that added an extra twist in the game's narrative! I also tried making the vigilante's kills more meaningful by limiting them. I almost made it a three-shot kill, but considering the game length, two-shot was perfect. It allowed the big to make meaningful choices, but also ensured they didn't turn into a serial killer in everything but name. Miller's a role I'm fond of. It allows for meaningful day one conversation and starts the game off on the right foot. Day One tends to be wheel spinning, but a Miller claim at least gets people to state an opinion on it. I'm glad people enjoyed the game as much as I enjoyed running it. If no game pops up soon, I'll contemplate running another one. It might be a sequel to Cosplay Mafia, as they're easy to set up and run character wise, but I still haven't decided. Those Overwatch sets are coming out soon and the figures would make a nice addition to a Cosplay Mafia roster. -
Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars RPG - Game Development
Kintobor replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in Heroica! The RPG!
You've waited 5000 years, but finally, I present some figbarfs! Behold, two new groups, the Priests of Lorgoloth, and the South Star Mining Corporation! Priests of Lorgothol, worshippers of the god of disease, pestilence, happiness, friendship, and charity! I definitely went with a Nurgle inspired look, for those who are familiar with Warhammer. I imagine these guys to be all for the spread of disease and illness, but they're also charitable folk who enjoy donating their time and effort to help the poor. After all, Lorgothol is all about spreading those germs, and what better way than contact with others! I'm debating how likely these guys would be available to player characters, as I suppose it depends on how far you want to spread the spreading of illness angle. Needless to say, I wanted to use some of the heads that are a bit harder to use, and I came up with these guys. South Star Mining Corporation. Frontiersmen and women who strike out into the airless vacuum of space looking for their fortune on a mining colony. I should've probably made a few dwarves to go with them, but I image these guys to speak with a southern drawl and twang. Most of them grew up poor, and the prospect of making one's fortune on a mining colony drives them to the tough labour and the promise of fortune in mining mithril, adamantine, and other precious metals needed to create space ships. Their higher ups are dwarf nobles whose expertise and tradition in mining has carried over into massive operations. South Star is one of those companies. I imagine whatever organization is going to be our Heroica stand-in will occasionally get call ins from South Star and other mining corporations to perform odd jobs for them. That and I wanted a faction that was easy to build figures for: I think most of us have Power Miners somewhere in our collections, so they're an easy factions to create figures for. -
Conclusion: Save and Quit The remaining cosplayers gathered around Lady K, cosplaying as the Eleventh Doctor, pointing an acquisitor finger at her. "She's scum!" The crowd jeers. "We've got this figured out!" Kintobor turned to Lady K. "Well, do you have any last words, Lady K?" Lady K grinned eagerly. "Oh, yes, I do." Lady K pulled out a sci-fi blaster, pointing it at Sakura's head! "I'm getting out of here, and I'm taking Sakura hostage! If the nano machines in our heads have stopped working, then I can leave, and none of you are stopping me!" "Well said, Lady K, well- wait, what! No, put that blaster down at once!" Kintobor shouted. Lady K sneered. "This is it, Kintobor! This has gone on far enough! I'm getting out of here with my head intact!" The group stood back, but one figure in the crowd wasn't going to have any of this. fhomess, cosplaying as Chell, pulled out a stick from their shirt. "Absolutely not! This ends here, and now! I haven't nailed any scummos yet, but I will this time! In the Garda de Vida, or whatever that killing spell is!" Bolts of light spilled out of the wand and towards Lady K! With a sharp shriek, Lady K was thrashed by powerful magic, sending the gun out of her hand and her body to the ground! Lady K breathed her last breath as the Doctor. "Huh. I thought there'd be a rousing speech. The Doctor tends to have one before they die. I suppose I should also award ten points to Gryffindor for effectively and sneakily saving my cohost." Kintobor commented. "I can't believe I didn't get offed earlier." Stickfig, cosplaying as Hera Syndulla, commented. "Figured I'd be offed earlier, and in a more brutal fashion." "Well... That's it. Good game, Town. By my calculations, that's all of the mafia members dead." Kintobor congratulated the remaining cosplayers. "It looks like you've won my game. Congratulations! I'll have to go and unlock the door and give you this shiny trophy, as promised." "But wait!" Asphalt, cosplaying as the Joker, exclaimed. "There's still one mystery we haven't solved! I've figured out who everyone's alignment is, as well as everyone's identity, but who is Sakura?" Kintobor merely laughed, shaking his head cheekily. "Oh, that's an easy one to answer, Asphalt. Hey, Sakura? Game's over. Mind taking that oversized, mask off?" Sakura gingerly nodded, lifting her hands to her mask and adjusting it, tilting it back and lifting it up, revealing... "Sup, winners." Karie smiled. "Forgot all about me, didn't you?" "Oh, Karie! You trickster!" Kintobor wagged his finger at his cohost as everyone laughed together in victory! Truly, this was a most surprising turn of events! "Now how do we get out?" Bob, cosplaying as Superman, asked. --- Congratulations to the Town for winning Kintobor's Cosplay Mafia, and particularly to our survivors, Stickfig, Bob, Asphalt, and fhomess! Well played! And thank you to the rest of our players for participating! I hope you all had fun! I'll have some more comments to say once I have a more stable internet connection, but for the time being I will post the Night Log and role list I was keeping during the game detailing all the night actions and who had which role. If you have any comments or criticisms, feel free to make them as I'll take them into account for the next game I host. Until then, keep your friends close, and those who you suspect of being scum closer! -Kintobor

Kintobor's Cosplay Mafia: Confirmation and Discussion

Thank you, Khscarymovie4, for joining us! I hope you had fun! -
Day Six: What Happens at KintoCon... Khscarymovie4, cosplaying as Hector Barbossa, had received a letter in the middle of the night. Following the directions, they came across a figure in the hallway. "Yarr, be ye the person who sent me this here letter?" Khscarymovie4 asked the shadowy figure. "Indeed, I am, and as I stated in the letter, the treasure is in that room over there!" The figure pointed towards the hotel room door. Khscarymovie pushed the figure aside. "Step aside there, matey! This here treasure be mine for the plundering, yarr harr!" Khscarymovie darted for the hotel room door, opening it and closing it behind them. Seconds seemingly passed... "Wait a minute... there's no gold in here! And what's this long, metallic barrel-like device attached to this pull-string wire doing in-" BANG!!! The sound of a gunshot rang through the hotel! A trap had been laid, and a trap had been set! The Barbossa cosplayer had been dispatched! "Looks like dead men don't tell tales." The figure chuckled, whistling a jaunty sea shanty as they left the area. Day broke. The five remaining cosplayers returned from their peaceful night's sleep, returning to the convention hall. It had become close to a routine by this point. Kintobor and Sakura were waiting for them as they arrived, with the console from previous days replaced with a shiny, gold trophy. "What, you thought there wouldn't be a trophy?" Kintobor asked. "This is for best cosplay. This has still been a cosplay contest, only thing is that you can't win if you have blood covering your cosplay. Your own blood, especially. Also, since the console won't blow up heads anymore, Sakura here has agreed to start offing the individual who is lynched. She's fairly gentle, so don't worry too much. Let's get right into it. LegoMonorailFan, cosplaying as Ellie Sattler was scum. Incredibly scum. So scummy that to describe the amount of scummy stuff we found would be long, arduous, and a waste of your time. Just know you nabbed one. Good job. Khscarymovie4 was murdered last night. After a brief examination, we discovered they were town. An unfortunate loss indeed. Their piratical sense will be missed. We're running out of cosplayers, and we're still in the game, which means there's still scum left. It now takes a majority of three to confirm a lynch. Best of luck to both teams. You may begin discussing amongst yourselves." --- Non-Player Cosplayers Kintobor, cosplaying as Grand Moff Kinto (Moderator) The Cosplayers fhomess, cosplaying Chel Stickfig, cosplaying as Hera Syndulla Bob, cosplaying as Superman Lady K, cosplaying as the Eleventh Doctor Asphalt, cosplaying as the Joker The Dead jluck, cosplaying as Legolas Twinleaf. Kintobor's Cosplay Mafia Day Five: Con Crud

The group pushed LegoMonorailFan, cosplaying as Ellie Sattler, to the front, jabbing their fingers in the accused's direction. "I-I don't know what any of this means! Why would you accuse me? There's no real correlation between the votes on Day One and today! Any scientist could tell you that!" LegoMonorailFan pleaded their case, but Kintobor merely tutted his head in dismay. "Nothing you do or say is going to get you out of this one, Dr. MonorailFan. Now then, I do believe it's time to proceed with the traditional end of day lynch!" Kintobor hovered his finger over the button on the console, it's big red button flashing. He swiftly pushed it- only to have LegoMonorailFan still in one piece. "Um... well, this is awkward." Kintobor replied, clearly unimpressed. "That's what I get for buying these nanobots and head-exploding modules on the cheap." "So... am I free to go?" LegoMonorailFan asked. Kintobor's laugh shot down any hope for LegoMonorailFan's safety. "Pfft. No. Sakura? Can you handle this?" Kintobor asked his assistant. Nodding gingerly, Sakura pulled out a revolver from her schoolbag and aimed it directly at LegoMonorailFan! BANG!!! Sakura silently giggled to herself as LegoMonorailFan's corpse hit the ground, blood pooling out from their head. "Well, you'll all figure out if you nabbed a scum tomorrow. For now, go get some shut eye!" Kintobor waved his players off as they shuffled to bed. -

Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars RPG - Game Development
Kintobor replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in Heroica! The RPG!
Pretty much this. Even if I'm not overtly fond of all of them, KotZ, I think there's some good parts used in there, including the Ultron pieces, and that rogue in white looks superb. I'll add, though, that I love that head/hair combo on the Space Gunner! I think it'd make for a good reoccurring port authority/customs character, someone who just really hates their long, tiring job. That Cleric of the Unending Sun is super cool, too, WBD. As someone who definitely has an interest in diving into a divine casting-class for Heroica 2.0, it's got my gears turning. When I get a chance I may try my hand at doing some different clerics up, actually. My sci-fi collection is somewhat limited, but I'll have a go at it. -
