"Thothwick, you look a little sore. Best you see someone about that." She looked Thothwick over lazily.

Karie loosens her grip on the Oculoid palm as it wraps it way back around her arm. She takes a look at both of the house representatives, before healing the dwarf and Grady. She then looks down at Henry with a cold glare, then turns her attention to Shawe, giving the same dead look. "I'll take the money, Shawe, but you seem to forget that you wanted a complete shipment, did you not? You said your employer wanted everything in the chest, yet your splurging it out like it's worth little to nothing on us heroes. Why?"
-
Karie sheaths her rapier and unleashes her whip from her palm, striking Grady from the back with the Oculoid Palm.

Quest 83 Overall thoughts: Considering how fun it was to watch you guys make up your own red herrings, I really loved hosting this quest! There's not a lot to talk about, so I'll say some stuff about mechanics and characters and yadda yadda. The thing I wanted to do was to pull of a full on murder mystery quest, with an emphasis on puzzle and less on the actual battles. I threw the Wolfgang members in for some added conflict, and to hopefully stir up suspicions on Connors background. I realized that I screwed up when you brought up magic, since the mystery's actually based off of one I really enjoyed in a detective game, and I should have translated it better to a fantasy setting. That being said, I loved some of the deductions, especially since I knew how it all went down and some of your ideas were so off, and I thought the mechanic worked well for a short quest! I'd love to do it again sometime if some of our players are interested! Best moments for me were honestly Purpearl drinking the wine and Heckz avoiding Avalanche incase of fleas. Characters: We had some returning faces and some newbies this time, so lets look at our (at least as of now) Advanced level players and our newbie heroes! Arasmyth: Welcome back, first of all! As your first quest back, I hope you enjoyed it! You were the most vocal of the party, and I can tell you often got sucked into the mystery! You clearly were active, and you had some great moments as well! I like the whole resurrected aspect, despite not knowing a lot about your character. I'd perhaps show more inner workings. Not a lot, but you've been dead for a year. Your character must be in some state of shock, or perhaps he's appreciated life more knowing what's on the other side. Just some suggestions, because in all honesty, I like your Arasmyth. You were a great party leader, I enjoyed hosting you, and I'd love to host you again! Job well done! Heckz: Why is your character so perfect? I'm actually jealous of you for creating such a perfect PC. Heckz is such an oddball little character, and I adore him. A character so vain yet still trying to be someone else, Heckz is both excellent comedic relief, and also somewhat sad. I almost see Heckz as being someone he isn't. These persona's of his are his way of trying to be someone he isn't. Or at least, that's what me and Flipz would see. It was a blast hosting you again, and I hope you had fun too! For Purpearljellyblob and Dragonfire, I decided to go a little in depth and give some more critical feedback. It's mostly positive, but the few bits of feedback are there to help you create more realistic and more believable characters, so I hope you consider them. If you have any questions, feel free to check out the Heroica Theatre. Purpearl: For your first quest, you did a good job! I really enjoy Purpearl's pleasant attitude, and almost naivety, mainly because it allows me and the other QM's to destroy it and cause said characters to have a Heroic Blue Screens of Death! In all honesty though, you were perhaps too pleasant. You could turn Purpearl into being mischievous at this point and probably get away with it, or give her a character flaw like having a temper or being a neat freak, because you're close to having a Mary Sue on your hands, and I'd hate to see Purpearl become one. You were asking questions, which I consider a plus, you were active, honestly, for your first quest, you did an excellent job! I'd love to host you again!\\ Avalanche: Job well done! Avalanche did well on his first quest, and you were a blast to host! I feel as if Avalanche has somewhat of an anger issue, but I feel as if constantly angry characters aren't always fun. I like what I saw of Avalanche, you just need to give him an identity. As is, he's standard hero fair. At this point, I'd go "easily angered", but show it through actions and not so much dialogue. As the rogue bumped into me, spilling my drink all over my clean fur, I turn around to him, towering over the cheeky looking thief, my shadow engulfing him. I crack my knuckles. Something like that. I like his sense of loyalty to, we often don't see heroes who feel a sense of loyalty to their party's well being, and Avalanche's comment on how he was relieved that Purpearl was fine after drinking the wine said something to me. It's the little details and how you portray them that counts, and once you nail Avalanche's character, I think you'll be good to go, because you did well! I'd love to host you again, and best of luck in Heroica! I'll have more uploaded in a bit, mainly notes and the references strewn about the quest. Yes, there are some well hidden MLP ones.

"That's what I was thinking. He managed to get her out of the gatehouse, only to succumb to his wounds. Thus, four dead men in a locked room." --- Sassina, his work finished, most likely waited for his lover to appear, they flirted for a few minutes until they embraced. However, the woman had other plans. With her lips drenched in a sleeping agent, she made contact with Sassina's lips, unknowingly drugging him. Abigail came in to see the bodies on the floor and the exact moment Sassina was stabbed. Abigail, thinking Sassina saw her, ran for it. Sassina pulled out his sword, and grappled onto the woman, who most likely broke free at the expense of her murky pearl necklace. Sassina forced her out, but it was too late. I'd say Sassina toppled over dead fifteen to twenty seconds later. --- The party stands in the cool autumn air with the Lieutenant and Abigail, as the lieutenant finishes his rambling explanation. "... and that's how it was done, it seems. Hmm... it troubles me we have a killer on the loose in Eubric. Blonde hair.... I'll have the men look out for anyone of the like, but for-" "Can I please get these cuffs off me?" "Sorry, m'dear. I'm certain we can get you an escort home, if you'd like?" "Thanks. I'd appreciate that." Abigail sits solemnly on the front steps, kicking her legs about in a bored fashion. She still seemed melancholic about something. "We have you heroes to thank once again for helping us out with this mystery. Without you we may still be at square one back at the gatehouse. As promised, one level of experience to all of you." He pulls out a bottle from his pocket, a curious liquid in it. He sprays the contents on the heroes, dousing them in a strange substance. "Imported from Luosh is it. A bit of a strong scent, but helpful none the less. As for dealing with the Wolfgang thugs, I managed to get each of you a small reward, 75 gold for the arrests of the foursome. Apparently that Cheech and Kong fellows were high on the drug making list. If you don't mind, could you fellows escort Abigail upstairs and to the front doors? I've got things to get back to, mainly the Baker's Guild incident. Thank you profusely for your assistance sirs and madame." With a bow, he walks back into the barracks, leaving the party alone on the front steps with Abigail. It had been an interesting afternoon for the party, to be sure, but they couldn't shake the feeling that this was only the beginning of multiple things to come: for some a new career, for others new friendships. However, one thing was for certain, this wouldn't be the last of the murders. I'd also appreciate your feedback in the Quest Masters Lounge, both positive and negative. Same. I like to introduce characters in one quest and bring them back in another, like what happened with Lt. Paolo. That and I have to agree with you. Not Sandy's fault, at all. It's just it's sort of hard to get on one, and they are the driving force of the story. "What's that? The houses are at war? Since when? I thought relations were pretty good between them."
-
Who said you won't get on the marketplace quest? If I were you, I'd aim for that one first, since everyone has been eyeing that one since it was leaked, and I'd love to see your first quest be a Sandy quest! (Mainly because despite me being in this game for almost a year, I haven't gone on a single main story related quest )

"I think there's a simpler solution. I believe not a shred of magic was used. If there was, we would have known in some way shape or form. Teleportation is a high class wizard spell which few have mastered. The pearls suggest a struggle between the two of them, and we know at that point Sassina was already stabbed with the dagger and the sleeping agent beginning to kick in. If you were Sassina confronting this person, what would you do?"

Transferred, possibly?

Please tell me they do. I got a character coming up who was originally going to be a prosecutor until I was reminded that Eubric has no judicial system, so he's more or less a Miles Edgeworth lookalike at this point.
-
Shall we talk behind everyone's back again, Endy?

Actually, a quest idea smacked me over the back of the head during supper, and I'm going to aim it at the you and the two other newbies if you guys want to go on a quest together. Would be neat, since we haven't had a full low level party since 56. And 56 was awesome!
-
I got a 52 in Grade 12 math, your expectations shouldn't be too high from me. And here I run battles where heroes are dealing specials, dealing 100+ damage and Sorrow to deal with. How do I even manage?
-
Also, welcome back Darkdragon! Been a while, quest 50 since we last saw you?

Arasmyth hands the blade to the lieutenant, who looks puzzled. "Why do you have... never mind. The poison on this blade appears to be the same deadly venom used to poison Sassina, so we definitely know what the killer used to end his life. She stabbed him in the back, causing Abigail to witness his bulging eyes." "Let's recall what happened to Purpearl when she drank the wine. The effect wasn't instantaneous. The killer most likely kissed him, stabbed him in the back, and then he drew his blade. As well, as potent as the poison was, he still wouldn't have died instantly. Sassina grabbed her throat, ripped the pearl necklace off, and attempted to get revenge. However, the lack of a fifth body suggests she got away. This also explains our big mystery: who locked the door?"

That's a brilliant bloody question! I thought the equation was Guts + Hall = activity, while Guts - Hall = dead as a doorknob?
-
Then how long are said heroes going to wait? We usually see surges of heroes, sort of like how Karie was at the tail end of a small surge back in the winter of last year. I sort of got luck, but there's no telling how long Cyros will be waiting around that hall? A level neutral quest like what 83 sort of is would be really helpful at this point.
-
Karie begins to panic. She knew this was a bad idea, but if course they didn't care. They wouldn't be here if they'd sided with the Hinckwells. "Dyric, the Genie, NOW!" Karie attacks the spearman from the back row.
-
"Dyric, if you need a heal, tell me." Karie continues to attack the Spearman from the back row with Sexy.

I doubt these are final. Looking on the side of the Rapunzel set, I'm seeing Mia's dad and the owner of the restaurant looking through a what appears to be paints and other art material. That and Pascal's replaced with a turtle. There's a suspicious looking 4x1 piece with the studs on the side for snot, which makes me wonder what's going to be there. If I'm going to pick up any of them, it'd be that one, and probably the archery set. One can't have too many bear cubs! For mnidolls, the figs hair (because that's really all that's salvageable off them for minifigs) is excellent! Can't wait to shove Merida's hair on some rule 63 Bilbo. I'm also really digging Cinderella's hair piece! May have to pick up the carriage just for it!

"We have no evidence to prove Barbarricia was behind this, so pursuing that train of thought won't lead us anywhere. I think you're on the right track. Sassina's eyes most likely lit up when he was stabbed in the back. By what though... I was thinking through mouth contact as well. Our perpetrator made out with Sassina, as Abigail described, and the drug most likely entered his system in that manner. What a devious way to do the deed. The only thing missing is what he was stabbed with. If it were laced with poison we'd be able to just about put this case to rest."
