  1. "Mreoow. <I thought he was very rude. Not a single offering of food.>" "Hershey, will come here." Karie picks the cat up and places her on her shoulder to rest, the feline licking her face. "Octavyn, I'm less concerned about your brother than I am you. You took that pretty hard back there. You sure you don't want to slow down for a minute?" Karie looked over to the ogre. It would perhaps be wise to get to know the other talking member of the party. "So, Skrall, you see, like quite the accomplished individual. You got any stories to share?"
  2. I thought it was good! Also, to anyone signing up for 91, we will most likely not be back in time for Baltarok. Just want to get that out there before people start freaking out when the trilogy's about to ship off.
  3. Because Science.

    1. Endgame

      Endgame

At the end of the quest, it is revealed the scientist is Karie donning a pair of glasses. Acting!

    2. Kintobor

      Kintobor

XD I think I can arrange that.

    3. Endgame

      Endgame

Maybe if Karie ever goes back to university. :P (It's weird how Karie and Masson are essentially complete opposites.)

  4. "Well, I guess we can go if everyone else is ready." Karie stretches before turning to Augustus, giving a small, yet identifiable smile. "Thank you for your hospitality, Augustus." She then turns to Olivia. "And I want you to be careful! Stay out of trouble, alright, I'll see you in a bit."
  5. I'm considering buying the set, but I want some opinions, since this is a huge investment. ($210 Canadian. ) Any thoughts?
  6. Karie ponders about what Octavyn said. She remembered that conversation back at the Albatross, amidst the fighting. It seemed ironic now. "I suppose I did say something along those lines, didn't I?" Hershey looks up at Karie, almost with a sense of mischief. Karie rolls her eyes as she pats herself down, finally revealing a small bag. Hershey goes nuts, rolling about, meowing like it's the end of the world. Holding some out in her hand, Karie lets Hershey at some catnip, calming her down.
  7. My suggestion goes as follows: 1. Cannoneers have a set list of bombs they can create, similar to an alchemist, to avoid confusion. 2. The damage and effects on a bomb used by a cannoneer are added onto it's attack instead of being used as an elemental buff only.
  8. "Yeah... I suppose so." Karie didn't know how sincere she was in saying that. Her previous quest had left her with questions about herself and the people who populated the hall. "I'm no Miss Sunshine, Octavyn. I'm certain you know that."
  9. Who's to say the cages weren't already in place.
  10. Karie picks up the piece of paper given to her, looks it over with a look of bafflement, disgust, and horror, then gives it back to the barbarian. "Oh, worry not, my sweet. Denial is just the first stage of grief, that is all. You'll come to terms with reality... eventually. Learn to enjoy my presence or suffer the consequences, my beautiful little lab rat." "Keep the paper, you can write on it for communication purposes. Second of all, your plan is just about the most flawed thing in this room besides me. How do we get kidnapped? How do we not get painfully tortured? How do we know if we'll survive said torture? I've been under the knife once before, I'd prefer not to be a second time." It takes her a minute to reconcile what just got planned out as she turns to Augustus. "I know the first question isn't as important as the second, but can you give us the names that were thrown out of the missing people? Secondly, who were these cracked up junkies?"
  11. As a drop, maybe, but I don't think bombs need that big of a buff. I do agree though that Cannoneer is the weakest of the Expert classes in terms of benefits. Bombs cost a bit, and they've become non-existant and pointless as drops to heroes due to how little damage they do compared to a mages spell casting. I think if not a buff to bombs, create a list of what bombs a Cannoneer can make. As well, add the damage or the effect of what type of bomb a Cannoneer inserts into his or her handcannon to their attack. It's almost pointless for a Cannoneer to go looking for exotic bombs if the damage or the effect doesn't apply to the cannon.
  12. You really like my party bombs, don't you Flipz? You should get on my next quest, I'm dropping a lot of them. Sign ups start tomorrow, and I don't mind delaying them if you want on
  13. Which new bombs are we talking about?
  14. How is death "moe"? "Endgame-chan, you just killed another one of your NPCs!" I just can't help it, Kintobor-san!
  15. Karie gives Olivia a smile. How the hell she got away with a skirt, high heeled socks and boots was anyone's guess. "Hey, Olivia." She looks about Augustus's house. It seemed like the kind of place Kayla and her would have huddled in. She then turns back to Olivia. "Yeah, I guess you could say that. It's nothing that important, though. At least, considering my normal routine..." She found it hard to remember herself at Olivia's age. It began to eat at her. She moved to the wall and looked up at the corseque. It reminded her of that night months back, when it wasn't this cold. "You got a story behind that weapon Augustus? I'd like to hear it." Best be sociable, Karie. You may hate the Wolfgang, but that doesn't mean you need to hate someone because of politics.
  16. No problem. The quest after this might be the followup to "Four's Company", or perhaps another one off. Not sure yet. HOWEVER, the sequel to "Four's Company" will be going up in December if all goes according to plan. And I intend it to be a bit of a "black sheep" so to speak.
  17. Hershey, cleaning herself on the porch, notices the group entering the house. She decides to follow closely to Karie, rubbing against her leg occasionally.
  18. It's not the graveyard quest, and it's not at all difficult, but you'll be with other, more higher level players
  19. "Thank you for your hospitality, Augustus." Karie makes her way inside, cautiously looking about. "Can you tell us more about what you heard?"
  20. I can't guarantee that we'll be back before the Baltarok trilogy sets off, so sign up at your own discretion. It's longer than Four's Company, but definitely still a short quest.
  21. Money seemed to rule this city, more so than it's corrupt house leaders. "Part of me believes you sent that letter to the watch with the potential intent of getting your brother here. You knew he was working as a Town Watch subsidiary, yet you sent the request in anyways. As much as it potential kills you to see him here, as much as you may hate him, you haven't dispelled him, have you? I think that says something. How much does your brother owe you, anyways?"
  22. "No, it's... it's not as simple as that. Bottom line, I joined out of my own free will." As the two began bickering, Karie wondered what else lay beneath the gold coloured robes Octavyn wore. She thought about white garbs, but couldn't remember anyone with such a design.
  23. Karie coughs from the back. "I prefer the name Karie over Syndicate grunt, actually, and I'm not his secretary or his girlfriend. It's one of two jobs, really. I'm usually on Heroica business and this just... happens to overlap... and stuff." She awkwardly fiddles with her fingers from the back. "So, how's things going for you, Augustus?"
  24. One problem, and I ran into it first hand: Scuba doesn't want other QM's handing out Infiltrator. I don't know who created Winged Warrior, so that's a whole different can of worms. Not complaining, Scuba, it's just... sort of sitting there, collecting dust at this point. Kind of sad, really, because it's a cool class. Planned characters arcs never work in this game. Trust me, I tried. Where Karie is now and where I thought she'd be are two entirely different things. For one, she's Violetta's sister, two she's dating a man who's nephew kidnapped and almost raped her, and three, she's the great x9 daughter to an undead assassin. Not where she was supposed to, but a lot cooler in my mind! Characters evolve and grow. The backstory should help in creating a character, but never rely to heavily on it. It's something that should be bendable and changeable yet concrete enough that when the time comes to start spreading the trail down memory lane, it's concrete enough you know what happened.
  25. There is no Town Watch rep. The creator of the Infiltrator class has never hosted a quest with the class available. Besides, at this point, rep isn't your biggest priority. Figuring out which niche you want to Baradock to fit in should be. Do you want to be offensive, defensive, or support? Then again, you're a barbarian, so it's most likely going to be offensive, but still!
