Heroica RPG - Quest#119: The Blackgull Inquisition
Kintobor replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Annienal looks in bewilderment and shock as Fogfarer erupts in front of them. She eventually turns away, biting her lip. As she looks back she tries to avoid contact with the corpse smouldering on the floor, as well as Oberro's wife. "Th-thank you, Oberro. I'm glad to be of service." Annienal shakes Oberro's hand, accepting the reputation. She makes her way out of the room, and hopefully out of the building. She'd seen a lot today, and she wanted to sit somewhere to think her thoughts through with her leather bound book. Thanks for the quest, Sandy! I had a lot of fun, and I'm thankful you chose me to come along. I've got some stuff to say in the QM -
Keep saying that when you can't get to your Expert Classes. If the houses were to be shaken down, I'd want certain house members to bite the figurative bullet, not the entire house. Maybe once Eubric turns into French Revolution Paris, maybe, but until then let's not totally wipe out houses ala that one house in Game of Thrones.

Heroica RPG - Quest#119: The Blackgull Inquisition

Annienal could feel the pressure put on her, with Miderun having said nothing. She steps forward and speaks clearly and diplomatically. If there was ever a time for not screwing up and stuttering, it was now. "Oberro, we found out a lot about the three men you told us to investigate. Captain Caldera seemed more than loyal to your house, Oberro, but that seemed to take form in fanaticism. Caldera was responsible for the Baker's Guild bombing, and when we went to the Merry Mermaid the Ji Pei confronted Caldera. I must be honest with you, we assisted the Ji Pei in apprehending Caldera, but that was because it seems Caldera is not only responsible for the Baker's Guild incident, but also beats on his half orcish maid, and has some race issues. We convinced Jun, whose mother apparently lost her legs in the incident, to hand Caldera over to you to deal with. The last thing we as a group wanted was for the Ji Pei to retaliate, and we did not tell them we were working for you. I do not think a man who wishes to actively pursue chaos should be allowed in the Bonapartes', seeing how you are champions of peace keeping, but that is not my place to judge." She had to tell the truth, otherwise what was the point? They had stopped Jun from cutting off Caldera's legs, and causing a bigger incident. "Captain Bullsworth just seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. We found out he's going through family troubles at the moment with his two sons apparently getting into mischief, and that it seems someone else was stealing his documents. He is loyal to your house, and was merely being framed." She decided to fib a bit here, if only because she cared about Bullsworth and his two son's wellbeing. She hoped the captain could talk some sense into his boys. "Fogfarer... Fogfarer had been handing over important documents in order to keep his lover safe. The Wolfgang were trading documents he gave them for medicine that he could not otherwise get. He was receiving them from a blonde haired woman who... I don't know, she felt so menacing to be around. She summoned some sort of etherial enemies. It seems Fogfarer has betrayed the Bonapartes, sir." Annienal didn't know why, but she felt she had to tell the truth here. Miderun was more than certain to wring her out if she didn't, and Warlen seemed less than thrilled about the Wolfgang. "And... that is our report, sir. I assume you will have questions, and I am more than ready to answer them." Annienal's breathing became rhythmic as she hoped Oberro would be pleased with her report, but more importantly, she hoped her team would be alright with it. -
Akira. I don't think words can describe just how much of a thing this movie is. If you like science fiction and cyberpunk, you sort of owe it to yourself to watch this movie. It had such a breakneck pace that didn't seem to stop once it started. Heck, even if you don't, the animation is so gorgeous I'd still recommend watching it. Forewarning, this film is really, really violent. There's a brief scene where a woman's top is ripped off, but that's the extent of the nudity. Still, a really great film!

"Miderun! That's enough." Annienal yells at Miderun, before snapping back to her timid self. "I m-mean, um... he's... clearly made his mind... " Annienal was worried about what would happen to the youth protesting. They'd clearly been dragged into something they didn't understand, and it seemed like they were only going to get themselves hurt. Annienal kept quiet, seemingly hopeless to the fervour brewing in front of her. "I think we'll get going. Bullsworth... take care of yourself, alright?" -
And... there goes the party I wanted. Oh well, anyone else want to save some sheep with bezerker Sorsha? Edit: Fixed Sorsha's name. I fear one of these days Sandy's going to snap due to how many times I've screwed that name up.

"I... um, don't think we can do anything to sway these youth. We should, um, leave." Annienal ducks her head when the rock is tossed, whimpering slightly. "Sir, may we see these documents? I... um, can't say I was totally honest with you before hand. We believe that Fogfarer has Wolfgang links and we're tracking downs some leads. We're with the Town Watch. Undercover stuff, you know?" Annienal replied diplomatically. -
Karie looks on in shock as Erdathcath's body is tossed aside like a child's toy. It felt gut wrenching, even if Karie didn't like her. She was a valuable asset to the team, and seeing such a strong willed tree-thing destroyed within seconds rocked Karie. She tried not to vomit, but it became incredibly hard not to. Turning aside, Karie's stomach lurches and she begins to cough violently. Eventually, the queasy subsides and Karie quickly downs her Tasty Pretzel and a Herbal Infusion. She replaces her Witch's Talisman with her Paper Doll, and covers her Oculoid Palm with all of her venoms. "I... I still feel a little queasy, guys..."

Screwing up The Parting Glass should be a capitol punishment. At least, I think he's screwing up The Parting Glass.

Thus the plot for Heroicavania 2: Seerus' Curse is set in motion.

QM Note: You're PM's will be heading out soon. As well, Lord Duvors, if you could post your actions for whether you want a room or are sleeping in the common room, I'd appreciate it.- 372 replies

Karie decides to show compassion towards her husband, and rubs his back, shortly before moving on to the Regret, looking worriedly at the being once known as the Regret. Words seem to fail her for once, as she tried to come up with something to retort back with.

Karie plays the Wight (4 Dark), trumping the Mud Frog (2 Rock). -
The doors to Heroica Hall burst open as a young man walks in from the frigid winter air, stomping his boots as he enters. With crook in hand, he heads to the quest board and takes his time at the Quest Board. "Hmm. Some of these people seem familiar. Let me just jot down their names here..." Current Sign Ups for Quest 122: Invasion of the Sheep Snatchers -Siercon, level 15 Battle Mage (Siercon and Coral) -Purpearl Berthadhiell, Level 17 Mystic Knight (PurpleJellyBlob) -Matthais, Level 16 Druid (StickFig) -Darksten, Level 12.5 Ranger (Comrade Commander) QM Note: I know this quest is a little ways off, but you four would make a pretty compelling party. Also, new players! Yes, you! You can sign up for more than one quest at a time, even though you can only get on one, so if you're thinking of heading to the Fields of Glory, still sign up for something else since you may not get in.

The same thing we do every year, Flipzy; try and take over the world! Well, I've got three quests in the immediate future, and a few bigger things stewing about, but you can expect the Sheep Tribe quest to start next year, which is going to be my most comedic quest to date, so expect that to ship out shortly. As for big plans, we're going to finally get to Baltarok and figure out what secret's it holds in relation to Heraesias's Vault. Then, we'll be taking a trip to Fellcreste and finding out what mysteries surround its dilapidating walls. Last, but not least, we'll be hot on the trail of the Butcher of Eubric, as the Watch asks for assistance in another murder mystery. All of these are in no particular order yet, but I expect Baltarok to come later than the other two. Also, we'll be seeing returning gag characters, more Pony references, and some appearances from my favourite NPC I've created. Maybe a Raid against a dragon. I'm working on that too. On a bit of a side note, why has no one done a quest in Duplovia with references to Attack on Titan? I mean, you have a walled city that is in close proximity to giants. Someone get on that.
-
You still need to sign up for it and be chosen to go, though. I'd recommend newer players put a few quests under their belt before trekking out to the fields, since it was designed with the Advanced classes and up in mind. Welcome to the game, by the way!

"Sorry sir, but I have no reason to do such a thing!" The bartender smiles at Heckz while furiously wiping down his table. Rollinger rubs the sleep out of his eyes. "Well, Heckz... that was... um, quite the story." Rollinger mumbles something under his breath, but it's too groggy to get the most of it. "Meh. I don't blame you. I tried to have some sort of bonding experience and we get norse mythology and whatever Heckz told." Rollinger waits for Eric to leave before crossing his arms and saying something, a hint of malice in his voice. "Inbred norse git. It takes a real special type to bred someone that ignorant." Rollinger hisses. He gets up and heads to the common room. "I'm going to sleep. Good night, gents. Be ready for tomorrow." With a wave, Rollinger heads out of sight after entering the other room. A wave of drowsiness washes over Throlar and Heckz. "Best you two get some sleep. I'll lock up shortly!" QM Note: I'll start sending out PM's once they're ready. Duvors, you don't need to pay the inn keep for a room, the common room's open.- 372 replies

Annienal waits in the wings, looking around and trying to avoid eye contact with the students. Even though she felt as if she should've been the one to talk to the students, the last thing she wanted was Miderun angry at her. -
That's why I adore Changeling enemies. They're as nasty as the heroes facing it.
-
No. You can always talk to the other players in the hall.

Karie takes a moment to straighten her clothing (and everything underneath her sweater) before speaking to the Regret. "At first I felt some semblance of pity towards you, but now... You truly are an irredeemable scumbag."

I'm not sure if this question is more suited to the FAQ, but what is the enemy with the highest health as of this post, and what is it's health? I'm toiling away at a potential thing and was wondering just how stupidly and insanely OP I need to make the end boss.
