That's fair enough for me. Just haven't read/been told that before. It's no big deal anyways...
-
I've been posting brickshelf finds mostly which I thought should be in one forum (see my answer here) and I just don't have anything castley/piratey to say...
-
I just thought brickshelf finds are easier to find when they're all in one forum. I'll put them in the corresponding theme forum next time.

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=141827 What I wonder when I see MOCs like this: Where do these ppl get all the bricks from?! I mean, I've expanded my collection quite a bit over the past year but I'm nowhere close to being able to build stuff like that (let alone the lack of creativity on my part). I even run into trouble when I try to build more than two look-alike train waggons... Looks cool, though ;)

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...item=6010783174 From the auction: Background of this auction: The entire series began last July during the "Creative Media Jam" in Duisburg. The participants worked on a project of their choice for two days (some more). More info on the website (Mediaartexcursion.de). The sub-project "WAR ON TERROR - As seen on TV" intends to question how the "War on Terror" enters our children's rooms. How do children and adolescents perceive war and violence in the media? How do they handle their impressions? What kind of pictures are generated in their minds? Note: This media art project was not sponsored or supported by TLG. Any thoughts? I'm not quite sure what to make of it. Before I read the background I thought it was just sick. After reading the background - I dunno. The idea seems legit, but do they have to sell it on ebay? Wouldn't displaying and propagating it throughout the internet be enough? Hmmmm... If this is inappropriate, please plonk it.

I think they're independent, you can't order anything online, though.

I counted on you posting here ;)

Austrian TRU have the 4512 on sale for EUR 69.98 - that's almost half off the regular price! I dragged my girlfriend there today to see if there are other sales. They have a "Buy LEGO for at least 150 Euro and get 20 % off with our catalog coupon" sale (the coupon is available at the entrance). Well, we didn't buy that much, but since we were there already my girlfriend decided to buy me a 4512 set! :oD *wub* I won't get it before christmas, but I guess I can live with that ;) I saw 3 more people buy that set, one lady even bought two. So, that TRU store sold at least 5 sets today, and that was within 10 minutes after opening in the morning! At regular price (EUR 129.99, at other stores EUR 134.99) that number wouldn't be that high, I suppose. My suggestion: Why not make the sets cheaper from the beginning?! But I think I have mentioned that before and it'll stay wishful thinking ;) I'll have my 4512 and am happy :-D

It has to be ice-cold, though, so it "burns" down the throat. That I like, too :)
-
Actually it's 32.5 % - but still a pretty good deal ;)

Anybody seen this already? Pic1 Pic2 Pic3 Oh, how I wish I had a house with enough room for stuff like that - then again, that's always the case with exhibition displays, isn't it... ;)

It took me a bit until I understood what you meant. But you're right, it's funny :)

B-OV-25D I think this looks great! Makes me wanna go back... :)

Cool intro. Welcome ;)

Well, once you have a job (good luck, btw!) the budget mysteriously stays the same - small, that is. Because since you have a job now you think you can spend more - and you do, trust me ;) It's a vicious circle: there's never enough money for LEGO ;)

Well, "in the closest sense" it is an addictive drug. I, too, am grumpy in the morning (as I am right now) until I had my first cup - which is brewing a rough 2 meters away from me... *mmmmmmmh* the smeeeeeeeelllllll.... ;)

I brought me some of this from my holiday. Unfortunately Mauritius is quite expensive, so I only got me one 250g whole beans for my Saeco at home (tastes surprisingly good) and one 250g grinded for my espresso machine at work. "My" coffee was processed on Oct 10 - can't get it any fresher :)

Some day I decided to look up a few LEGO forums to maybe join one or the other. Don't really remember, but on either LUGNET oder LEGOFan.org (or wherever) I found a link to EB. And now I'm stuck here...
-
Back! Am a bit tired now but here's two quick shots of what I've been doing the past two weeks... :)
-
... to Mauritius for two weeks :oD Maybe I have the possibility to post a beach photo. If not - see you guys in 2 weeks ;)

Now, that's boring - isn't it the human nature to judge before you know? ;)

I think it's not that bad a choice. The upcoming movie's supposed to be a prequel where we get to see a more brutal bond and how he became the suave bond we know. I think he's got the "face" for someone like that. I didn't like Brosnan when I first heard he was supposed to be the next Bond, and now he's my favorite. So, we'll see ;)

Neither did I...

I made a joke and I think Norro did, too. We know that you can add only 10 choices in a poll. No offense (at least from my side) ;)
