  1. I'm Austrian ;-), but anyway... You're a tough negotiator... Now what? X-D
  2. Tell me about it... I wanted to bid on this... :'-( I've been watching a few 8868s on ebay Germany since I now have three and plan on selling two of them. Wanted to see for how much they sell. Surprisingly there were lots of them, mostly without box but at least instructions. Average price was around 40-50 Euros only, though. Which surprised me cos I've seen them go for a lot more. I suppose it's the missing box and that there were so many (still 17 auctions currently)...
  3. You know, you don't have to use 3 decimals, 25.00 is ok ;-) Why don't we do it the short way, here you go: :-P
  4. I had 6195. I saw the picture once, liked it, and bought it from a guy on ebay. Once I built it it didn't look as good as I thought it would. So I sold it again (hi, jipay ;-) ). I like "Divers" more. I liked the baseplates, too, though...
  5. *wacko* Next time you wanna sell something, you know where to ask first... ;-) Yes, I have, and I'm still waiting for the package ;-) Oh, that's you, I never noticed the username. I've seen it before. Nice version of the 7777 trainstation... You guys are killing me... ;-)
  6. That would be the obvious explanation (or a 2x2 and 2x3 brick), but there's no visible "gap", so it looks like a 2x5 brick :-P ;-)
  7. This pic is so beautiful *wub* 8-
  8. Happy birthday! Hope you get lots of cake... uh... what am I saying, who cares about cake... lots of... you know, those plastic bricks. I heard it's supposed to be a great toy... :-)
  9. Two months is nothing. It took EB a good year to "hit if off". And it depends on the subject the forum is about. With that many boards on the web it's not easy to stand out and attract people...
  10. As you wish :-)

    So confused

I've always understood your jokes, even without your title ;-)
  12. X-O *cringe* :'-(

    So confused

I merged it with an existing thread, sorry for the confusion. I put a message in the other forum that points to the merged thread :-) Should have moved it and then merged it... oh well... :-$
  14. To avoid confusion: Sting's thread "First Set" has been merged with oo7's thread in the Community Forum. :-)
  15. Since oo7's thread is similar I suggest to continue here, "game-wise" or not :-) 8-
  16. Hehe, you're right. Maybe it's their way of saying "We'll never build war machinery since the bricks don't exist, but we wanted to show what's possible" X-D
  17. No need to lock it, just keep it on topic and don't talk about other users by their name :-)
  18. Nope, that surprised me, too...
  19. This :-)
  20. That's already been posted here, here, and here :-)
  21. Crane, no doubt about it. If you don't have a layout yet - well, you'll need some Construction sets to build it, won't you? So, there's the logical reason ;-) And you can "size it down" easily and make a smaller crane which still looks good. I liked the set so much I bought 3. For USD 50 I wouldn't hesitate, here in Europe it's around EUR 50 (on sale) and EUR 60+ (SRP/RRP). That was your mayor's impartial point of view... *cough* You'd buy EB's favorite 2006 City set, too, according to the current poll results ;-) The Crab Crusher is the best of AR so far, I think, and if you happen to have 4888 there might be possibilities to "merge" that sub with the Crusher sub. I'd say it depends on your priority: start a layout, or expand your divers stuff. But the crane looks pretty impressive on a shelf, too, if you don't have time to build your city yet. I wonder who made that terrific picture of the crane...........
  22. :-D :-D :-D Great review, thx *y* Having seen all the AR reviews so far, I don't think I'll get any of the smaller sets. I have my Divers and they just don't fit. I'll wait and see how the station turns out, maybe there's something useful..
