  1. Captain FlowersCouncilman Ackerson helps Farmer Alan look through the boxes. The boxes all have money and gold in them. James climbs onto the roof. The boxes are dry, like they were recently put there. There's an eerie silence throughout the town, as though it were abandoned save for the roof of the apartment building. The normally populous streets of Alabatha are quiet, and empty. There is an ominous feeling, a general nervousness in the air. Four of their citizens were gone, three killed, one detained never to be seen again. The townspeople know there is not much time left in this day, but they can not do much to change this. All they can do is try to solve the mystery. End Chapter Nine, this topic, and Chapter Eight's topic, can now be locked please. Make sure to get in ALL NIGHT ACTIONS. That's right, at the end of every chapter is now night. PLEASE GET THEM IN TO ME IN THE NEXT 36 HOURS OR THEY WILL NOT BE COUNTED. See why in the Discussion Thread.
  2. "Ow!" Stevie says. Chief Fields and Officer Harrison climb up the ladder onto the roof. There's a chimney, a railing, and a few boxes in the corner of the roof. The Hotel and the roof of the Town Hall. "Oh, yes, now I recall. He was normal and calm, he acted the same way he had for all the years I've known him, which is curious because we knew the Congressman was arriving the next day. You would think he would be nervous if he was a communist spy." Ackerson says. It is not big enough to fit a person. None of the shoes in Ackerson's apartment match the footprints made in the empty apartment. Also, his shoes were already checked. This chapter is almost over, just a few more actions on the roof if you need them.
  3. "I don't think we'll find anything else that's useful." General Stanley says. Stanley has rejoined the group. Farmer Alan looks into the fireplace, but it's empty. In Ackerson's bookshelf are several law books and government books. Ackerson has a few bottles of aspirin, and some mouthwash, toothpaste, and other toiletries. Looking under the table yields nothing. Looking inside the toilet basin yields nothing. "I have all sorts of people over. Last week I had Mayor Bradford, Judge Cain, and Chief Phelps here for dinner." Searching his bed once again yields no results either. There isn't anything under the mattress either. Krista takes Dracula before Patrick shakes it, but there's no bookmarks or slips of paper in it. Patrick then shakes it, but nothing comes out. "I do believe we've search everything here? Don't you think?" General Stanley asks the group. "Not quite, there is still the roof." Dieter says.
  4. :hmpf: Stevie flips to the day before. October 7th, 1952 Today we were searching in a wide variety of places. We looked in the Jefferson home, the roof of the Department Store, and a few other areas. Unfortunately...Valerie Jenkins died, it was very sad. Also, some Jackie woman died too, but nobody knew her really and we all feigned sadness. We didn't trust the newcomers anyway. Ackerson's residence is the same size as Dieter's. He has a considerably smaller kitchen, but a larger dining room table, as though he entertains guests regularly. He also has a small bookshelf, and a reading area with a fire place. In the reading area is a lamp, which is over an easy chair. On a nightstand next to a table is the novel "Dracula". Ackerson's bed is in the corner, in the same area as Dieter's. His bathroom is also in the other corner, again in the same area as Dieter's.
  5. You can post your entries here, but make sure they're distinguishable from other posts. You can post one entry per category. There will be a prize per category.
  6. Stevie flips to the day before. October 8th, 1952 Today we voted out Chief Phelps. It wasn't a particularly good argument for conviction, but once the bandwagon starts, it cannot be stopped. I wanted that Investigator voted out, however. He seemed like a bad investigator. Maybe if we voted him out, they'd send a new better one. I doubt he's a commie, but I don't like his inactive-ness in our investigations. Go right ahead. The regular game cuts out, for only a brief second... "Hi everyone! It's your local Congressman here. I've got exciting news for our legions of fans!" "Oh...wait...no..." the Congressman says. "How much did you say you were paying us to sit here?" one audience member asks. "Well, for the members here of their own accord, we've got exciting news for you. The Red Scare Mystery Building Competition! What's that you ask? Well, there's three categories. I'll break it down into helpful points for you: A) Scenes from the Past! Do you remember the good old days? The days when your town wasn't infested with communists and people weren't dying from random knives? Your goal is to create a scene from this time. B) Scenes not photographed! Due to lazy hosting budget constraints, not everything has been photographed. Did you like the part when you were in the tunnels? How about the part where you were falling into the basement of the hotel? I know I did. C) Building Interiors Everyone has a house, but so far, not many interiors have been shown (Example: All houses). Create a scene of the interior of your house. Additionally, if your house is not been photographed (Example: Bradford Manor), go ahead and build your house, or the interior to your house. Rules: There are none! Anyone can participate, those playing, those dead, those in the audience. Prizes: There will be a special prize for the winner. Judging: Either by a vote, or by a select panel of judges. You can use an unlimited amount of bricks." the Congressman concludes. "Can we leave now?" a second audience member asks. "No. Good luck everyone, and I'd like every player to participate." The scene changes back to the apartment building.
  7. "You're not ripping out pages from my diary." Dieter says. The first date is January 1st, 1952. It's here in America. Last night, Dieter wrote this: October 9th, 1952 These blasted commies are keeping me up all night. There's all sorts of noises and the like occurring outside. I can hear them, it's terrible what they're doing to this village. I haven't been able to sleep for awhile. While I was trying to sleep, Ackerson upstairs was doing the horizontal hustle was someone. I learned it was that Dolores woman. I'm surprised that her husband Patrick hasn't filed for divorce yet, he is a lawyer after all. I'll be pleased if we finally end this mess tomorrow. Patrick and Farmer Alan journey to the fire brigade. They put the flag up as it was when Alan found it. Krista, from the window, looks out for them. The flag is partially visible from the area. "We checked my medicine, Councilman Ackerson. Don't you remember?" Dieter says.
  8. Err...which page? There's a whole like, two hundred page diary. There's nothing suspicious in the Russian cookbook. There's simply recipes for cooking typical simple Russian dishes. A stamp in the front cover of the book says "Bought in Munich". Krista drags each of the men into room, but the soles of the shoes don't match the ones on the ground. It is of course, entirely possible that whoever made the footprints changed their shoes. There are of course foreign ingredients from all over the world. Captain Garrison then switches the lamp on and off, and the whole apartment building explodes into flames but nothing happens. The knife on the table does not match the knife found. Also, while Mr. Schneider has many knives in his kitchen, none of them match the knife found in Mrs.Jenkins or Brenda the Lifeguard. Speaking of Brenda the lifeguard...A National Guard medic enters the second floor. "Which one of you is Falzone?" he asks. "Me." James says nervously. "I'm Doctor McCoy, Brenda the Lifeguard had severe internal injuries. You're lucky you found her when you did, I expect her to make a recovery in the next few days." "That's great news!" James says. Moderator Note: That is the most embarrassing typo ever.
  9. The only people with a size nine shoe are: Captain Harding, Farmer Alan, Patrick Jefferson, Chief Fields, Judge Cain, Mayor Bradford, and Councilman Ackerson. The footprints go to the window first, judging by the trajectory. Frankie rushes after some cookies. Krista's shoe size is a seven, and is indeed different. She also wears boots. The footprints are not bootprints. Krista then goes to the window, and looks out of it. Amazingly, if the flag was still there, there is a chance that it would be partially visible from this window...Would you like to test the theory out and confirm it? Stevie consumes a quarter of the cookies, and then returns to the nightstand. It's Dieter's Diary. There's a few things in the medicine cabinet. Toothpaste, his toothbrush, a few headache pills. Also in there is a heart medicine. Captain Harding wears a size nine, but he is correct. He could not have made those footprints with a peg-leg. All the books are cookbooks, but Mr. Schneider also has certain books with titles that aren't English. A few titles are in Italian and German. Mr. Schneider speaks fluent German, of course, as he is an immigrant from Germany. There is also one book on Russian Cuisine, but it is quite dusty, and most likely hasn't been touched in awhile.
  10. "It's certainly possible." Dieter says. The footprints go from the front door to the window, they then return back to the door. Not everyone is in the room with you, so it's not possible to check the footprints. However, Dolores', yours, and Frankie's shoes don't match the footprints. The shoe you're looking for is a 9 and a 1/2. It's not possible to tell how long the footprints have been there. The person was walking, judging by the distance between the prints. There's a book on Dieter's nightstand, as well as a lamp. On his table is a plate and a fork and knife. Surely you can't open all seventy-four cookbooks. Would you like to instead search for one that sticks out? Farmer Alan then looks in the kitchen cabinet, but nothing is out of the ordinary. There's a plethora of ingredients in the cabinets. Councilman Ackerson searches around the radiator, but cannot search inside it because it's on. He then searches the recliner, but doesn't find anything of relative interest. Entering the bathroom, there's a tub, and a sink with medicine cabinet. There's also a toilet. Ding! "Fresh cookies are ready!" Dieter says with a smile.
  11. Vote: Sebastien Vaughn/ Shadows This won't mean much, but I might as well.
  12. It's quite fun watching the name calling and the nasty words being thrown about. That being said, I am not comfortable voting out Mr. Vaughn. I've changed my mind, so I'll wait until more evidence surfaces.
  13. I don't speak Spanish, but I'll use Google Translator to translate for you, and to try and help you out. I hope I translated correctly, I should have said you're in a different forum now that doesn't have anything to do with introductions. The link I provided should take you to the right forum, but the topic will most likely be moved there. I also recommend using a translator, because not many people on the forums speak Spanish. Hope this helps, and Welcome to Eurobricks!

  15. Farmer Alan enters Dieter's house. It's slightly larger than James', and has a table with a single chair. There's a circular rug with a recliner across from a small television set. There's also a radiator near the window. Mr. Schneider's kitchen is much larger, and has a stove top, an oven, a refrigerator, and a multitude of cabinets. There's also a few spice racks and a fruit bowl. Above the cabinets are a plethora of cookbooks. Dieter's bathroom is in the corner of the apartment, and there's a queen sized bed against the wall, with a nightstand and lamps on it. The footprints originated at the door. When looking out the window, the town fountain is seen, but the roof of the buildings across the street are not visible. "I can't recall anyone renting the apartment. I have both keys, the owner gave me his key when he left." The lock has indeed been picked. Chief Fields checks the lock, and agrees with Officer Harrison's conclusion. "The General isn't here." Captain Garrison says.
  16. This is interesting...I believe that Mr. Vaughn has the evidence mounting against him, we shall see, however, his defense. If he's unable to submit a decent defense, then I shall vote for him.
  17. There are a few footprints in the apartment that lead towards the window. Then, lifting the furniture covers shows a few chairs, a table, and a sofa. The pieces of furniture appear to be in good condition. Entering the empty apartment, Frankie checks the doors and windows. Only the lock on the window where the footprints lead is broken. Opening the books, it's apparent that they haven't been drawn in. Stevie asks if he can borrow Macbeth, but James gives him a dirty look, and Stevie realizes he shouldn't ask again.
  18. Assuming that the musket killer isn't another Rouge, then we should face the reality that there's another faction out there. While I do agree that there's only one Rouge out there, and the knife-killer killed him, then we could treat him as some form of neutral. I also don't think the third faction is "vampires", but who knows. I didn't believe in werewolves before this fiasco, but now I do.
  19. Looking out the window, Krista sees the Fire Department, the Department Store, and the hospital. There's Romeo and Juliet, as well as Hamlet, Macbeth, and Richard III. It would appear that our manly dock worker fancies himself a Shakespearian. There's nothing that stands out, and the shopping list has a few items like: eggs, milk, and butter. The writing on the list does not compare to the notes found. Gloria and Stevie rummage through the box, but can't find anything other than clothes. Mr. Falzone doesn't have an extensive wardrobe either. It's mostly jackets and sweaters, however everything appears to be in order. It's okay if it's not in italics every once in awhile, I knew what you meant. Holding the list up to light yields no hidden messages. Captain Garrison looks inside the jacket pockets, but cannot find anything of interest except for some change and a peppermint. Looking inside the kitchen cupboards yields only glassware and other dishes.
  20. The radio is on a different station from the broken one. It's on a rock n' roll channel. Using the screwdriver, there's nothing inside the radio. Dolores enters the empty apartment. It's dusty, as though it's been empty for quite sometime. There's a few covered up pieces of furniture all over the apartment. Other than that, it's a mirror image of James Falzone's apartment. There's only a few books on a table next to his couch. There's a shopping list on his kitchen counter as well. Checking under the pillow yields nothing. Under the bed is a box of clothes. The are cupboards in the kitchen, but not the bathroom. Entering the bathroom, its small, but manageable. There's a shower, a sink, and a toilet. There's a jacket on the coat hanger.
  21. Walking up to the second floor, there's another staircase leading to the third floor. There's also two doors, and a small hallway. Farmer Alan enters the Falzone apartment. It's a one room studio, with a small bathroom in the corner, and a few windows looking out over the town. There's a bed near the windows, and a kitchen on one side of the wall. There's a radio, and a sofa near the door, and a small coat hanger area. The first floor is a long hallway, with a staircase upstairs in front, and under the staircase a closet. There's access to the backyard at the end of the hallway. There's also four mailboxes. It wasn't good enough. There's nothing curious hidden in the weeds or the plants in the backyard. Sure, why not. "I own the entire building." Dieter says.
  22. "For at least two years, maybe more. I can't remember the last occupant." the three of them say. James looks in his mailbox, but since there hasn't been a mail delivery to Alabatha since the ordeal started, it's empty. Farmer Alan pulls them aside. There's a small closet under the staircase. Inside, there's some cleaning supplies./i] Stevie takes a broom from the closet, and pokes the walls with them. There's no hollowed out places in the wall. Maxwell cannot see any loose boards on the staircase. He proceeds upstairs to the second floor, where the Schneider and Falzone residences are. Once again, the mailbox is empty. Dieter laughs at Stevie. In the backyard is a small garden, along with an entryway to Dieter's Grocery in the back. There's a few weeds and stray plants, as though no one has taken care of this area for a while.
  23. In the opening room, there's a set of four mailboxes. One for an unoccupied residence, one for the Schneider Residence, one for the Falzone Residence, and one for the Ackerson Residence. There's a hallway leading outside to the backyard. To the left is the staircase leading upstairs to the apartments. They're filled with fruits and vegetables from Dieter's. Will lives alone on the third floor, and there's an unoccupied residence also on that floor. On the second floor is the Falzone Residence and the Schneider Residence. The Ackerson and Schneider layouts are the same, but the Falzone and unoccupied residences are different. Stevie puts a nearby box on his head, and starts to move around. Since he neglected to put eye holes into the box, he slams into a wall, and falls to the ground. There are no loose stones in the walls.
  24. vote: Adam Sokern / sok117 I had suggested voting you off earlier today. Even if you're not a werewolf, you haven't exactly been helping us.
