A mystery and a mafia are two different games, as well. It's likely that this game will run past def's game well into the next mafia game.

(Banner subject to change--if anyone would like to make a new one I'd love you forever.) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to Lexington, California. Life in Lexington is quiet, peaceful, and serene. All of the neighbors know each other, and the town is so small that its young population must be bussed out of town to get to school. Yet, the seaside town has a certain appeal to it. There’s the scenic downtown, the beautiful beaches, and the profitable port. All of the Lexington citizens know each other. With a population of less than two hundred, it is not surprising. The community is tightly knit, with very little arguments. Crime is virtually nonexistent. However, in the peaceful harmony of the serenity that is suburbia, there is always room for trouble. A catalyst will cause the secrets of Lexington to explode, revealing all sorts of hidden problems and lies. This event will peel away at the suburban town, revealing the rotten seedy core that lies within. Find out what happens when the peaceful citizens are thrust into an unforgettable event, coupled with lies, adultery, and most of all, murder. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note that this is a Mystery Game, not a Mafia. I'm looking for sixteen players. There will be no more roles added like the last game. I predict the game will run from mid-September to mid-November. Features: -A life-point system. (I think I started with one in RSM, but lost track...I won't this time though, I've got a note pad) -Chapters will be precisely 96 hours long. (I bought a timer), at which point it will be night. -Actual sets (For those in RSM, there were few sets... ) -A smaller cast. (Sixteen and sixteen only instead of the twenty-one in RSM) -NPC's (The problem with RSM is that the entire town left, leaving only like 18 people. This time there will be NPC's that may or may not help you.) -Better Photography (I hope, I won't have black and white photographs anymore) As you can see, I believe I learned a lot from hosting Red Scare, and will apply that to Suburbia. What I need from you: -Past Mafia/Mystery Experience. -Are you available during the time specified? -Your favorite Collectible Minifigure. (From any series) -Your favorite movie. (This won't help/hurt you, it's just for my benefit) Signups will be held from now until an unspecified date, so you better sign up fast.

I'd like to say "I knew it" but I really didn't. I'll talk about this more later, but I'm somewhat shocked about a few of them. Not all of them, though.

Baritones 3 Confirmation and Discussion thread
Bob replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I'm so surprised that I died that I could wave my hands in the air. Oh well, I look forward to seeing the end. It was good playing with all of you, great game so far! -
I wonder what I'm surprised about during the entire introduction, with my hands being raised and all throughout the entire thing. This is very interesting information that's being tossed about. I was correct in my observations that Petr was just a loud and unstable townie, but at least he was somewhat of an asset. I can't help but feel that my theory was off yesterday, which is disappointing as it fell into line with other clues I had gathered.

I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it? I like how I'm throwing my hands up in the air the entire introduction, I can't help but feel that it's because of my observation yesterday. -
I use several plugins on my server to prevent griefers. I've completely banned the use of TNT, Flint and Steel, Fire, and Gunpowder. I also don't use a whitelist, but I use a Hamachi Network in order to know exactly who is in my server, and at what times. I also use the bukkit plugin Pail, which is much more efficient then the command prompt alternative. It receives a fair amount of traffic, too, and I have a trusted team of ops when I'm not on. I can't believe I missed this topic. I've had the game since about 1.3, and I love it. If you don't have this plugin already, I'd recommend the SimpleSkylands Plugin, that makes a whole second world, at least until Notch installs the Skylands in a future update.

Once again? I wasn't aware I had voted and unvoted Boris before. Unvote: Boris (Brickdoctor) Vote: Donil (Waterbrick Down)

Attention citizens of Moonlight. I've been quite quiet over the last few days, however I now have something potentially important to share with all of you. I'm going for something wild here, but please bear with me, and look at this picture: There are no rules stating that I cannot use pictures to point out clues. Note how the following people raise their hands in the air in distress when Max dies. Boris, a pawn shop owner, married to Barbara, played by Brickdoctor Raya, a real estate agent, married to Dmitri, played by Rick Vera, a highway patrol officer, played by KartoffelViking While it's true the Wilem also was raising his hands, he was raising his hands at the elephant, probably trying to lure it away. It is my belief that these three people are also members of the Russian Mafia. This is the only evidence that I have to support my claim, so I don't expect anyone else to follow my lead. Take this as you will, however I shall: Vote: Boris (Brickdoctor) Mostly because he has been acting quite strange lately. I urge you to take my speech into consideration, especially any investigators. Please investigate these people. I'm also curious as to what information you've come up with.
-
I'm not sure there is another Mafia. The FBI told me they were looking for only the Russian Mob, not one else. I'm not sure who to trust. I've been in contact with Ruxana, but if there's one thing I learned the hard way, never trust anyone. I'm open to the idea of a neutral faction, such as a serial killer. I'm not yet sure who to vote for. I'll see what other people have to say first.
-
Perhaps Samuel should try to vote for someone else other then me? He appears to be dead set on wanting to get me out of the game.
-
What the hell is wrong with you? Why do you have such a vendetta against me? I've done absolutely nothing wrong whatsoever, and you're pushing to get me voted out. Why do you want me to be lynched so badly? You backed up the charge on Day One, and you led the charge today on Day Two. There is no logical reason as to why you should vote me out. Explain why you want me to die.
-
Vote: Petr (Zepher) I had believed him to be a townie based on the way he was charging after everyone who spoke, but he's rather confusing and annoying. As others have said, we are indeed better off without him.
-
Oh for the love of God. You once again honestly think that I'm flying under the radar again? Why are you so vindictive to try and lynch me? I posted twice today, and both times I thought were useful posts with my views and ideas. There are people who haven't posted at all, and have only spoken once, yet you single me out. Why? It was a simple idea. You didn't have to take it as a fact.
-
What the hell? I'm assuming that this is one of the night killers, and that he or she has the ability to poison someone and have them die during the daytime. Another option is that Sarah didn't vote yesterday. Perhaps this is a sort of penalty for nonvoters, and she was randomly picked. The conundrum is who to vote for. If we don't reach a conviction, then we'll have a penalty. At the same time, there is the risk that we vote off another townie. Then again, if nobody votes then we'll have a penalty for not reaching a conviction and a penalty for not voting. I'm at a loss, what do other people think?
-
Again I must ask why I am a suspect. I'm baffled as to how people still consider me to be scum. I didn't vote on Day One because I had a strong feeling that Benji was innocent. However by the time I arrived to make my point known it was too late and he had a majority vote. I'm somewhat surprised that Eugene was killed. Although it was a stupid move to talk about a drug addiction, it was even dumber for the Vigilante to kill Eugene. If he truly was scum, he wouldn't go right out and say it on his first words. Did anyone learn anything interesting last night, other than Petr's headache?
-
The point I'm making is that we won't actually hit a scum if we vote out someone on Day One. By talking about Yoga, you believe that I have revealed myself to be a member of the mob. I'm not sure how this makes sense. I'll agree, what I said the first two times wasn't exactly that helpful at all, but what do you expect? I'm not trying to fly under the radar. I cannot provide an excellent defense for myself because there's nothing that this vote is being based on. The fact that my first two posts were useless warrants me being executed? How does that make any logical sense? There's absolutely no reason at all to be suspicious of me. The one point that I am trying to steer the conversation and make everyone lose track is nonsense. How can I steer the conversation? It looks like the conversation just went right on going the way it was after my posts anyway. By the way, if we use the logic of posting sparingly with unhelpful comments, then she's scum to: She posted twice, she's a mobster! It had nothing to do with the conversation, she's a mobster! See how illogical that was? There was no reason at all for me to accuse her, yet I did. By the way, I don't think she's scum. That was for demonstration purposes.
-
Accusations and votes do not make credible evidence. I could accuse a turkey of being in the mob, and then vote for it, but is that evidence? Is that something that's going on? Theoretically yes, but it's nothing useful. I understand there will be a penalty, that's always something, but why vote for me when there's nothing that possibly incriminates me?
-
What would you like me to say? Should I recycle what everyone else is saying? I'm sure if I repeated what others were saying you'd say I wasn't useful then too. It's not like I know anything useful. What should I contribute? Nothing has even happened the entire day. Voting someone out the first day is a foolish mistake that usually results in an innocents death. You've been broadly accusing everyone who says anything before you. I doubt you're scum, but in all honesty you're an idiot. Like, seriously. Even though the town would probably be better off without your mouth, I won't vote for you. Just because I haven't been speaking much does not make me scum. Other than that, you have absolutely no reason to vote for me. I've got nothing important to say, because it's A) Day One and B) Nothing really damning has happened. I don't see anyone that we should vote for as of now.
-
Is it almost lunch time yet? I'm eager to see who these 'stone-casters' are going to vote for. You don't need to get high on drugs if you can get high on life. Many actors, athletes, and singers do Yoga before their various filming, games, and performances. It relaxes and calms the mind, and it makes you more flexible. Namaste everyone!
-
When is this coroner going to get here? Does the town even have a coroner? Obviously someone was here to take away Agent Sky's body. I know that nobody really cares about the mime, but now he's starting to smell terrible. Back on topic, I'm afraid that there's not much to do in the early hours of Day One. We'll just have to wait until someone slips up or some piece of evidence falls from the sky. Namaste, everyone!

Listen, bitch. I don't use drugs, I get high on life and relaxation. Now look what you did, you made me swear. I hate swearing. Someone took the wrong method of relaxation. Namaste everyone. -

Lovely wife is here, darling! I am Barbara, I teach Yoga. People, please, alcohol isn't the correct method of relaxation during this time. We must all practice yoga...breathe in deeply, and breathe out. I'll be holding classes if anyone wishes them. Yoga makes you flexible, nimble, and aware. Namaste, everyone. -
I'd like to play: 1. Your past Mafia experience (You must be a graduate of Mafia School or have played before) -Baritones I -Witch Hunt Mafia -Baritones II -Infection Mafia -Noir Mafia -Mystical Castle -Galactic Paranoia -Imperial Soldiers Mafia -Dystopia Mafia -Eurodina -Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum -Werewolf Mafia -The Forest -The Coming Darkness (This shouldn't count, as I had a terrible performance). 2. Your availability to post frequently for the next 6-8 weeks -Yes. 3. Applied knowledge of the board software's use of the term "portal" -Yes. 4. Your most embarrassing moment Oh god, where do I begin? a) My terrible performance in Def's latest game, The Coming Darkness. b) Killed off for promoting Fish Tacos in Witch Hunt Mafia c) Was bamboozled by Darth_Legois in Noir Mafia until I killed him. d) I've made it to the conclusion of 5 games, yet I've never won a game. Oh, wait, you didn't mean in Mafia Games. Oh well, these are pretty embarrassing too. I guess my most embarrassing moment is when I had to sing "Row Row Row your Boat" in front of my entire day camp when I was 7. I also hosted one Mafia Game and one Mystery Game.

In all honesty by the time I was able to participate, all of the Witness Cards were played for the day and I got repeat clues. I would have liked to have participated, but by the time when I looked at the thread in the morning, my time, there were four pages. When I returned in the evening to post again, there were roughly double that, if not triple on certain days. There was simply nothing to contribute without repeating what everyone else had said. I'm a bit disappointed in my participation as well, but there wasn't much more I could say or do. Off that subject, it was a great game, very different than others. Excellent hosting job, by both you and Si-Moc.
