  1. There's nothing in the mailbox. In the vase is water and the stems of some flowers. Robbie checks behind the sofa. There's a lost television remote, an old TV guide magazine, a five dollar bill, and a copy of Red Scare Mystery, a novel. Deputy Chief Scott looks at the table that the telephone resides on. The telephone itself is rather old, but still in complete working order. Inside the only drawer is a phone book.
  2. Not seen in this picture is the rest of the bathroom door, a tiny kitchen, and a door leading out back.
  3. "Please, come in." Winston says. Welcome to the Robertson Residence.
  4. Blooper #1: Oops. And that was the end of the intrepid Lexington investigators. Crushed under a part of a modular building. This happened when I bumped into the building trying to grab someones character from the burned down building.
  5. On one side is the Montgomery's Pet Store and Officer Hutch's apartment above that. On the other side is Winston and Ashley's townhouse.
  6. Agent Stone enters. "Why are all of you just standing around here berating a confused NPC Witness? Why don't you go out and do some real investigating!"
  7. There's nothing in the equipment rack or in the various areas in the fire engine. Also, I cannot give you an alibi. That's your job. "I suppose."
  8. There's nothing noticeable about this hand. "I didn't find anything on the street." "We're not Trekkie's." The first floor is a garage with an equipment rack on one side of the wall. It was pointing to the fire station. "Nope, we're the only two." "I think I remember something else. I already told you the person had brown hair, but now I believe the person I saw was a man."
  9. They are. Ashley stubs her toe as she walks into the Firehouse. "Ow!" Ashley Baker (K-nut) now has 9 life points for being a smartass. The firewomen put in the tape.
  10. The group heads to the fire station. "Oh...hi. How can we help you?"
  11. "I'm sorry, but the Town Hall is off limits during this investigation."
  12. CHAPTER FIVE - FIRE! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As it has and always will, night has fallen on Lexington. The moon hangs over the small suburbia, casting a bit of light over the town. In her home, Deputy Chief Jackie Scott (Fugazi) is winding down for the night. "I suppose I should take a nap. I haven't gotten much sleep these last few days." she says, while brushing her hair. "Is someone outside?" she asks herself, seeing the light. She decides to take a look. "Holy Photoshop, my house is on fire! Help! Help!" she screams. A few seconds later, her neighbor James arrives with a bucket. "Don't worry, Jackie. This bucket of water will put out this fire." "Take this horribly Photoshopped fire!" James says as he swings the water into the inferno. However, it is useless. "Good thing I called the Fire Department." James says. As the fire burns in the background, a few more neighbors arrive, fully dressed for some reason. "Don't worry miss." the firewoman says. "We'll get this fire out." "You have fire extinguishers? And an axe? Where's the hoses?!" she asks. "Hey, this is an old fire truck. There's never any fires here. Be glad this thing still runs." The two firewomen fight the blaze, until it is morning and the sun slowly rises. All of the town has gathered to watch. Deputy Chief Scott's house is in ruins in the background. "Sorry about your house, ma'am." the firewoman says. "What the hell happened here?" Agent Stone asks. "There was a fire." Deputy Scott says. "Obviously. Is everyone alright?" "Yes." the crowd says. "Good, good. I'm wishing you all good luck today." Stone says, as he leaves. "I'll find somewhere for you to stay, Jackie. Don't worry." The Mayor says. "By the way, all night actions were voided due to the fire." "What's a night action?" someone asks. The Mayor walks off without answering. Later, after Deputy Chief Scott returned from the police station where she changed out of her nightgown, she addressed the crowd. A debris removal unit cleaned out the rubble. "I want to know what happened, there has never been a fire like this in the last forty years." she says. "At any rate, I'll ask the obvious. Where should we go today?" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Players (14) Mr. Jack Montgomery --- Mrlegoninja Mrs. Julia Montgomery --- Dannylonglegs Jeremy Montgomery --- ADHO15 Mr. Alex Jordan --- Cralegoboy Mrs. Sarah Jordan --- Brickdoctor Mr. Winston Robertson --- Rumble Strike Amber Robertson --- Peanuts Officer Steven Jackson --- Professor Flitwick Ashley Baker --- K-nut Marcus Baker --- CallMePieOrDie Officer Ryan Hutch --- badboytje88 Mr. James Swanson --- CorneliusMurdock Robbie Swanson --- Jedi master Brick Deputy Chief Jackie Scott --- Fugazi Deceased: Police Chief Arnold McGovern --- def Rules: (Borrowed partly from Dragonator’s Mystery Manor and Red Scare Mystery) 1. There are 16 participants. If you commit to the game you are committing to contributing to the story and sticking with it to the end. 2. You must search for clues. This means that an action must be specified. For example, you wish to search a room for hidden objects. The following is an example of how not to go about this: "I wish to look for suspicious or hidden objects in this room". Instead, you must be able to specify what you want to do. For example: "I would like to open the drawers of the cabinet." It is not required for you to specify exactly what you are doing and what you are looking for, but a generalized statement will not find you anything. Act like a detective and you will be fine. I will always give a detailed explanation of a room, however, feel free to ask for clarification. 3. Please be patient with me between chapters, I will try to put up the chapter topics as quickly as possible, but, this might not be so all the time. 4. Please try to avoid editing your posts. If you made a spelling error, simply post immediately after correcting your spelling error. If you wish to add more, a double post can be made, however use this rule wisely. Obviously, you may not make a quadruple post. Please wait for someone else to post before you post something else, unless absolutely necessary. 5. You can reference anything in pop culture, as this is being played real time. You can mention current events if you want to. You can use any electronic device that you wish to use, with exception. For example, you can’t take out your time machine to determine who the killers are. 6. I won’t keep you in a certain room if you don’t want me too. However, you may not return to a room that you were already in, so ensure that you have searched every part of the room before leaving. 7. There are a few NPC’s in certain areas of the town. These NPC’s might have evidence, however they might not. Also, the evidence given by them might be false information. You cannot do anything other than talk to these NPC’s. You can only go and speak to them when you arrive in their area. For example, each NPC is in a certain part of the town. If you’re at point A, you cannot go and speak to an NPC at point B. 8. Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning. A second failure will result in the death of your character. 9. There are no night actions or chapter actions. However, there are Miscellaneous Actions. With this system, if you’d like to PM me a non-lethal action (I.E; “I’d like to go visit Player A”), then that’s fine. However, things that could harm people (I.E; “I’d like to go kill Player A”) are not allowed. These are only allowed at night. Night comes at the end of every chapter. I’ll allow most anything, so let your imaginations go wild. However, you can’t leave Lexington. That is not a valid action. 10. No Metagaming please. Also, don’t base suspicions on how the person looks. 11. There will be a life-point system. Every player starts out with ten life-points, and regenerates one life point at the end of a chapter. For example, if you fall and twist your ankle, you’d likely lose one life point. If you fall off a boat into an engine prop, you’re likely to lose most if not all of your life points. Think logically. Perhaps walking along the rickety boards in the construction zone is not a good idea. 12. The host is usually always right. If you think he’s wrong, feel free to send me a message about it. 13. Most of all have fun. This game is meant to be enjoyable despite the "questionable" things occurring. Rules may be added or deleted as the game goes on based on game play. Marcus Baker (CallMePie) now has 8 life points. Deputy Chief Jackie Scott (Fugazi) now has 9 life points.
  13. I'll keep it around 96 hours, but I'll use my judgement to extend that or not. Chapter Five should be up in 9 hours. There will be surprises.
  14. Chapter Five will come soon. I'd like an opinion, should I drop the 96 hour days? I'm leaning towards dropping them, because Chapters Three and Four have been without the limit and you've been able to get much more done.
  15. "Heck if I know. They were just here, then they weren't. I was watching from the second floor." I can't answer that for you. "I'm not the killer." The mayor says. The four hatted people take their hats off. The sun soon all but disappears, and it's time to go home. "I can't find my pants anywhere!" Jeremy says sullenly. "Oh son." Jack says. "You're so silly with your antics." The trio have a laugh before retiring to their home. "I fixed your bike, man." the mechanic says. "Oh, my baby!" Officer Hutch says. "Did you find out anything during your repairs?" "What do I look like, the police? Ha-ha-ha." the mechanic laughs as he walks off. Later, at the Jordan home... "Special delivery!" the mailman says. "I didn't know you guys came this late." Sarah says/ "Well, now you know!" Much later, at the docks... "Why are we meeting here, instead of my office?" the Mayor asks. "Because, what I have to say is very important." "Why are you trying so hard to establish your character as evil, when he's clearly here to help. Now you're making me look bad too." "Because it adds depth to the story." "What have you found out?" "I've found out that-" A large ships horn blasts the area with noise, preventing the conversation from being heard. "That's quite a development." the Mayor says. "Indeed." "I've got this briefcase, though, filled with important information." the Mayor comments. "Where did you get that briefcase from?" "I'll tell you where I'm hiding it, too, just in case something happens to me." "Seriously, where did you pull that briefcase from?" End Chapter Four Please get your actions to me ASAP.
  16. "He wanders about at night, I'm not sure why. He had a bit to much to drink, I think." "My memory is a bit foggy, sorry. I believe it was a man though. Or maybe it was a woman. I can't remember, I do know the person had brown hair." "I'm not sure I recall. I haven't actually seen the footage. We use the garage-cam to monitor how fast we can respond to calls." "He was alone when he came, then he left and that person arrived just after the Chief left. The person then left promptly after." "He was a bit of a womanizer. He always tried to hit on us, unsuccessfully I might add. We'll keep a close eye on that footage for you!"
  17. "I'm not sure what help the footage will do for you, seeing as how the camera only captures the entrance of the garage." "I was here the night he died. I think I saw one of you, but I can't remember who it was." Less than 12 hours. "We're paid firefighters, but we do accept volunteers. No, I don't think any of you are volunteers." "Well, whenever we have to we get involved with the police department. I can't say I liked the Chief." "I don't like him either. He showed up here on the night he died."
  18. "Hello!" the two fire-women say. The group had arrived at the Fire Brigade. "You caught us just as we were locking up for the night!" You are now at the Fire Brigade. Since it is near the end of the day, you may not investigate. You may speak to: Firefighter Sue Firefighter Carol
  19. There's nothing in any of these places. There's nothing inside the clock or the pillows. It is off. There's nothing under the carpet. "Not that I can recall...We were likely sleeping the entire night."
  20. "Hello!" the bird says. Jeremy jumps down, and looks around. Nothing looks out of place. Again, there's nothing in the fireplace. You can. There's just dust under the couch.
  21. There's nothing but loose change. Also, there's nothing under the cushions. After eating cold pizza, Alex talks to the bird. "Hello!" the bird says. The fireplace is off. There's no blood on the knife, axe, or shovel. The fireplace is also empty. Jeremy jumps onto the fire escape. There's nothing out there.
  22. You are on the First Floor.
  23. Where would you like to go?
  24. Where would you like to go?
  25. The intrepid investigators put the tape in once they've gathered their popcorn and various snacks. "Where the megabluck is the sound?" someone asks. "What kind of crappy quality is this?" another questions. "How come we can see the Chief but not the two people?" a third wonders. Shut up and be grateful that I haven't had a roof collapse on you guys. a voice says from above.
