  2. You can lock as many people up as you want. You could put more than one person in a jail cell.
  3. No, but you can lock someone up in the police station with a majority rule.
  4. Maxwell. He does have a residence, but it is outside the perimeter. You could ask your National Guard Captain permission. The group heads to the Jenkins residence.
  5. That is the current plan. The end of the day does not mean this chapter, however.
  6. Chapter Twelve The wolves howled in the distance as the moon took its place of prominence in the night sky over Alabatha. However, not everyone was asleep. Two figures were outside the apartment building. "Well this is awkward." they say to each other. Suddenly, Frankie Daly approaches. "What are you doing here?" they ask him. "Nothing." Frankie says. "Just out on a stroll." Frankie returns to the Lakota disappointed. Unknown to him, a figure was following him. "What a waste. I wanted to sleep, too." Frankie pouts. The figure shoots the unsuspecting deckhand in the back, he falls to the ground dead. The figure also resists saying the most cliché one-liner. A second figure watches this in the background. The second figure was Maxwell Touns, who was out doing his own actions when he heard the commotion. The first figure had gone, so Maxwell decided to return to his sleeping arrangements in the Department Store. Unknown to him, a second figure was following him, with a revolver as well. However, Maxwell had advanced training, and with one swift kick he knocked the pistol out of the would-be killers hand. The two engaged in a fight, as Maxwell lunged onto the figure. He was then flipped over by the figure, as something sharp and painful entered his stomach. Maxwell was dead. The figure scooped up his pistol and knife, and walked off. "You're dropping like flies." General Stanley says. The townspeople, including Captain Garrison, give him a dirty look. "Right, at any rate, you have a day to perform your final investigations. I also have the results of the deceased from our trained HUAC and CIA professionals." He takes out a list. "Jackie Harding, Doctor Simon Lloyd, Nurse Parker, Captain Harding, Judge Alan Cain, and Frankie Daly were all loyal American Citizens." "Valerie Jenkins was a communist spy." he finishes. The townspeople look around in utter disbelief. First Chief of Police Phelps, then kind sweet old Valerie Jenkins? Who else among them is a communist spy they wondered. "Good luck. I've had a change of heart and I'm rooting for you now until the very end." General Stanley says. I am trusting you all not to drop out halfway through, as that is never any fun. 2. You must search for clues. This means that an action must be specified. For example, you wish to search a room for hidden objects. The following is an example of how not to go about this: "I wish to look for suspicious or hidden objects in this room". Instead, you must be able to specify what you want to do. For example: "I would like to open the drawers of the cabinet." It is not required for you to specify exactly what you are doing and what you are looking for, but a generalized statement will not find you anything. Act like a detective and you will be fine. 3. This game is meant to be fun, so enjoy yourselves! 4. Please be patient with me between chapters, I will try to put up the chapter topics as quickly as possible, but, this might not be so all the time. 5. Please try to avoid editing your posts, as it can lead to suspicion against you. Just consider what you want to say before you say it, and you'll be fine. 6. Please remember that this is the early 1950’s. No iPods, digital cameras, cell phones, printers, computers, fax machines, or otherwise. No events past the current date either, or else people will view you as insane. 7. I won’t keep you in a certain room if you don’t want me too. A second failure will result in the death of your character. 10. Remember that although a chapter has ended, that doesn’t mean that the day has concluded, and night actions can be used. 10b. There are also chapter actions. Those of you with chapter actions have the ability to use them at the end of each chapter. 11. No Metagaming please. Also, don’t base suspicions on how the person looks. Rules may be added or deleted as the game goes on based on game play. 12. This is the 1950’s, the middle of the Cold War. You’re under constant worry of potential nuclear Armageddon, so act like it. The Communists are your enemies in this game, don’t forget that. Also, anytime historical facts from the 1950’s are brought in is a big plus. Good luck!

  9. Oh my god, that's amazing. It's very rare to see an Executor MOC, and all of the other ships are perfect as well. I especially like the Star Destroyer Hybrid ship that's next to it. Also, is that a completed Death Star in the background?
  10. There's a chair, fishing rod, and a small table with a pallet and brush. It would appear someone on board fancied themselves a painter. Gloria takes the shield off, but there's nothing behind it. Stevie estimates the shield is about twenty to thirty pounds, it's made of steel. Stevie then takes it for later. There's no marks on it. "It's probably one of Captain Harding's spare peg-legs." Frankie says. It is an Army Convoy, that has since pulled into the port. The townies depart the boat, and stand aside as the convoy stops and General Stanley exits. "Has it been productive?" He asks Captain Garrison. "Quite, I'll have a report for you in an hour." "Excellent. As you all know, tomorrow is your last day of investigations." he says to the crowd. "Hello, General Stanley." a voice says. "What are you doing here, Hoffman?" Stanley says through gritted teeth. "Helping the townspeople, of course." "I'm sure the townspeople would love to know that it is your fault they are in this predicament." A few of the townspeople share confused looks. "After all, putting the base in Alabatha was your idea." Stanley finishes. The two continue their argument as they walk away into the vehicle. Captain Garrison boards the truck with the other troops. The convoy departs the seaport, and the townspeople are left alone. They converse among each other. The wind howls in the background, promising another stormy night. Although the attitude of the townspeople are hopeful, the mood is dismal. They know that tomorrow will be their last day. A sickening thought comes into the mind of the simple people of Alabatha, as to what their "last day" will truly have in store for them. Night Actions, please. The next chapter will be up in forty eight hours, or when I receive all actions. This topic can now be locked, please.
  11. They are a few books I've picked up on my travels. The margins are just notes I've written, I love learning about history, and during the long voyages, I usually read while the others play cards and whatnot. "Not so much World War Two, but history in general." There's some clothes, a piece of wood, and some other toiletries. Just the balcony outside the bridge. As the sun begins to set over Alabatha, there's a rumbling noise from a distance.

  13. There's an empty canister of kerosene near the corner, as well as a few dropped matches. "They're various novels that I've picked up during our stopovers in Japan." Frankie says. There's nothing under the book, and it appears to be Frankie's journal, all written in Japanese of course. There aren't any leaks. Frankie can clearly see the extent of the damage, and he already knows how the engine will work. Even though you are quite nerdy, you cannot.   14. Krista, who is in the Captain's quarters and not Frankie's quarters, looks under the bed and sees a few storage bins. She then looks in the dresser, but there's only clothes. Frankie's closet is sparse in contents. There's a few shoes, some shirts, a few more pairs of jeans, and a small book on a position of honor in the closet. Feeling the mattress, there's nothing inside of it. Lifting the mattress, there's a few coins and gum wrappers, but that's about it. The lamp is in working order, and it has not been tampered with in any way. The books are all written in Japanese, and there's some Japanese writing in the margins. There's no underlined passages or words, however. All the drains are in working order. "Try starting the engine!" the farmer shouts. Examining the engine, it would appear that someone has set fire to the engine purposely. There's some knives and forks in one drawer, a few plates in another, as well as some napkins and other spices in a small closet next to the galley. Above the galley, there's a few more drawers with a few dishes, pots, and pans. There's also a cutting board.
  15. Mayor Bradford enters the crew quarters. Frankie's room is rather small, but it has a closet, a dresser, a bed, as well as a lamp, and books written in Japanese. Yes. The other two were delivered when the Lakota docked in New York City harbor. According to the manifest, none of these crates were to be delivered to Alabatha. Farmer Alan then goes to the engine room, but his knowledge of farm equipment engines aren't sufficient either. Captain Harding's cabin is not too large. There's a bed, a galley, a bathroom, as well as a dresser and an ancient Japanese Shield displayed for decoration. From the various engines that James has looked at over the years, it would appear that the engine is inoperable, however a better test would be to try and start the boat. Maxwell goes into the engine room.

Two Crates of Assorted Jewelry Two Crates of Dresses and other items similar One Crate of Artifacts for the Museum of Natural History One Crate of Assorted China One Crate of Diamonds "I'm not sure if you have the skills to look into a complicated ship engine." Patrick says. There's no other fake walls. Patrick calls them over. They'll have to come over via their own actions, however. Stevie pockets some diamonds for his girlfriends. "Return everything!" Officer Harrison says kindly, yet forcefully. The stern of the ship has the engine room, Captain Harding's Cabin, and the Bridge. Which would you like to search first? "To my knowledge there's been no accidents." Frankie says. "But, I did know of the secret room, of course."
  17. Without proper knowledge of engineering and mechanics, it's impossible for you, a lawyer, to check the damage to the engines. However, the engine room has scorch marks scattered about, and the actual engine has scorch marks as well. Gloria, Ralph, and Farmer Alan start opening crates. They are filled with valuable items, jewelry from famous designers, as well as other expensive items. There's another manifest tacked to the top of one of the crates. Maxwell opens the largest crate. It is also filled with boxes of jewelry, clothing, and other items. They have certain markings from the specific companies that they originate from, but other than that, no.
  18. Maxwell shoves Stevie away. "You're a seak (????)." He says. Stevie gets up and pushes down the wall anyway, because he made the discovery. Opening the false wall, that is in the cargo area, reveals a secret cargo room, with a few crates and boxes. The hospital might, but it's doubted. Ralph marks it "DO NOT DRINK" and takes it home for later. The compass does work. There's no bookmark inside the book. Krista opens to a random page, it's filled with text on the Sound. Krista then shakes the book. Then she looks at the language it's written in, which is English. The writer is Jack Nichols. There are no marks on or in the book. "That's not the trash, that's a bin against the wall for storage." Frankie says. Maxwell blushes anyway. Again, those maps are not in the trash. It is a storage bin, not a garbage bin. The maps are charts of the northern eastern seaboard, from North Carolina to Maine. There is writing on them in some parts, but it's mostly trivial notes, such as "Shallow Area" or "Rocks".
  19. You could taste every bottle, but that's not a good idea. Not without complicated lab equipment. There's a compass, a few maps, a half eaten turkey sandwich, which has gone bad, and a book on the Long Island Sound. Krista takes the chart off the wall, but there's nothing behind it. There's also no other dots or marks on the map. There's nothing hidden inside the book, and there's no hidden compartments in the wheel housing. You'd have to check. The fire took place in the engine room. After eleven chapters, Stevie finally finds a false wall in the cargo-bay.
  20. They would be the series 4 Artist and Sailor that I left there accidentally... There's an "X" marked on the port of Alabatha, and a dotted line leading from their original port, in Virginia, to Alabatha. There's nothing hidden in the bottles of wine. I didn't know that, but oops. Disregard what I said about that being Frankie's book: "Sorry, I misspoke. I meant that it's a fellow crewman's novel." Frankie says. There's nothing on the cover of the book, and there's no bookmark in the book. There's a large chart tacked onto the wall of the bridge, with a dot marking Alabatha. I believe you've already noticed the map below the chart on the wall. There's a sextant on the ships wheel, and an accelerator next to the wheel so the captain can control the speed of the ship. There's also a small bin near the back door of the bridge, that leads out onto the balcony.
  21. Officer Fields checks the barrels at the front of the ship. They contain rain water, as well as a small telescope and a small box. Opening the box reveals a novel. Harrison then checks the barrel of seawater, but discovers there's nothing inside that's interesting. Ralph then goes through the two crates, and finds them filled with French Wine. "I sometimes read up here when I'm keeping watch." Frankie says. What would you like to search first? Yes they did.

I understand that I'm not a fellow or a moderator, but I'm putting a lot of effort into hosting this game. I've been hosting this since November, and I predict it'll be over by the end of April. If my math is correct, that's 6 months. I'd honestly appreciate a bit more activity from those who are playing. Some people haven't even posted at all in this chapter. When I was visiting my very ill great-aunt in Florida over Christmas, I still posted and updated regularly. When I was visiting my great-aunt again in February, I still updated and posted regularly. It's gotten to be where I'll have to post an answer to only one action. It's gotten to be where someone will post in the evening, and I'll come back in the morning and that post will still be the latest post. Please try to participate more. This isn't directed at Fugazi, Cornelius, or CallMePie, who have the highest post counts thus far.
  24. There's nothing else in the crate but the ammonium nitrate. There's one vote for the crew quarters, and one vote for the bridge. There's a few crates, a net holding down some more objects, a harpoon, a barrel full of seawater, a fishing net, and a life ring.
