The Chief still has both his cell phone and his wallet. The Chief does not have his handgun. After a few rings, someone picks up: "Hello? Arnold is dead?! This is terrible! We talked last night, and we had other customers in of course but none of them seemed very interested in the Chief. He was rambling from one subject to the next. Any other questions?" "I'd like to take the body now, if you're finished."
-
"Do I look like Doctor Magic to you? I don't even know this guy, and you're asking me about his family? And yes, I'll be taking his body as soon as you people are done with your investigations." "Well, it could be caused by falling head first into the side of a stone fountain. It's on the front of his head."
-
"Big cases? In Lexington? They'd send out the bomb squad for a parking violation in Lexington! There isn't a bomb squad in the town, though, but you know what I mean. And, no, she didn't give her name." "About two hours ago, or so, give or take." It would not have covered up the gash, since the gash is on his forehead. Very faintly. The water from the fountain could have gotten rid of the smell. "Do I look like a cop? I don't even live in Lexington." Those records are kept at the police station.
-
"Truth be told, not until the coroner runs a few tests on him." the doctor says. There's nothing of real interest about this tree. Last night at about ten o'clock. There aren't any liquor bottles in the immediate area. The doctor moves the Chief's body, allowing Robbie to see what was hidden underneath him. There's a considerable amount of blood on the side of the fountain where his head impacted. There's also a few cracks in the stone. "What? What do I think happened? Well, I'm not one to speculate, because Channel 4 News only reports facts, but with the little evidence presented, I'd say that there is a possibility he was murdered." Officer Hutch takes out his phone, and dials the number. It rings a few times, and then someone picks up. "Hello? Yes, I'm the owner of Mike's Liquor Store. A Chief of Police? Ah, you must mean Arnold, he's my best customer! He came in at about nine thirty, alone surprisingly, and paid and left at about ten. He departed alone. What was he doing at a liquor store? Obviously buying his favorites!" The owner then hangs up after Officer Hutch thanks him for his time. There's no trails of blood anywhere near the murder scene. Also, there are no trashcans in the area. There's of course a liberal amount of blood where the Chief impacted the fountain. There's no other signs of blood around the fountain. Steven then picks up the Chief's hat. It's soaked in water, but otherwise empty and uninteresting. "A concerned citizen called me after she called the police earlier in the morning. I'm afraid that's all I know about it."
-
Sarah bends and looks all over the visible parts of the body. She can see that there is a huge gash on his head, where most of the blood came from. Italics indeed. There's a receipt from 'Mike's Fine Spirits' for thirty dollars worth of various liquor in his pants pocket. "Well, there's some sign of a struggle. For instance, the Chief's epaulette's aren't on his jacket where they should be. He also had his handcuffs out. I'll know more when he's taken to the morgue, so the coroner can do an autopsy." In the fountain is a few coins. There's nothing really suspicious in the fountain other than what is shown in the picture. There is a considerable amount of blood diluted into the water. However, to see more of where the Chief impacted the wall, he will need to be moved. "What about?"

CHAPTER ONE - REVENGE "We now take you to Brenda Barrett, live in downtown Lexington." "Thanks Al. I'm here, live, in downtown Lexington, where Chief of Police Arnold McGovern (def) has been found dead. Now, the police aren't telling me anything, in fact, no one is telling me anything. However, I'm sure we'll find things out later as time goes on. With Channel 4, I'm Brenda Barrett. Back to you in the studio, Al." Mayor Bob, Deputy Chief Scott, and a doctor stand at the scene of where the Chief lays in the fountain, dead. "Can you tell me what killed him?" Scott asked. "No, I'm afraid not." the doctor says. "Why not?" she asked. "You're a doctor, aren't you?" "Damnit, lady! I'm a doctor, not a coroner!" "Alright, doctor, calm down." Mayor Bob starts. "We've got a problem here. Is this a homicide, or an accident?" "At the moment, I'm going to have to rule this a homicide." the doctor says. "Deputy, I'm appointing you in charge, temporarily, of the police department here." "That's excellent news, but we've only got myself and three other officers." The Mayor gets the attention of the townspeople. "According to the doctor, here, this is a homicide. Which means someone here did this. Who better to solve the case than the people of Lexington?" "Mr. Mayor, these are civilians, please let us do our jobs." "I'd be open to, but you said yourself that you've only got limited resources. Besides, part of the police station is under renovation, you need all the help you can get." "I...suppose so, Mr. Mayor." "Then it's settled. All of you will assist in solving the murder of the Chief." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Players (14) Mr. Jack Montgomery --- Mrlegoninja Mrs. Julia Montgomery --- Dannylonglegs Jeremy Montgomery --- ADHO15 Mr. Alex Jordan --- Cralegoboy Mrs. Sarah Jordan --- Brickdoctor Mr. Winston Robertson --- Rumble Strike Amber Robertson --- Peanuts Officer Steven Jackson --- Professor Flitwick Ashley Baker --- K-nut Marcus Baker --- CallMePieOrDie Officer Ryan Hutch --- badboytje88 Mr. James Swanson --- CorneliusMurdock Robbie Swanson --- Jedi master Brick Deputy Chief Jackie Scott --- Fugazi Deceased: Police Chief Arnold McGovern --- def Rules: (Borrowed partly from Dragonator’s Mystery Manor and Red Scare Mystery) 1. There are 16 participants. If you commit to the game you are committing to contributing to the story and sticking with it to the end. 2. You must search for clues. This means that an action must be specified. For example, you wish to search a room for hidden objects. The following is an example of how not to go about this: "I wish to look for suspicious or hidden objects in this room". Instead, you must be able to specify what you want to do. For example: "I would like to open the drawers of the cabinet." It is not required for you to specify exactly what you are doing and what you are looking for, but a generalized statement will not find you anything. Act like a detective and you will be fine. I will always give a detailed explanation of a room, however, feel free to ask for clarification. 3. Please be patient with me between chapters, I will try to put up the chapter topics as quickly as possible, but, this might not be so all the time. 4. Please try to avoid editing your posts. If you made a spelling error, simply post immediately after correcting your spelling error. If you wish to add more, a double post can be made, however use this rule wisely. Obviously, you may not make a quadruple post. Please wait for someone else to post before you post something else, unless absolutely necessary. 5. You can reference anything in pop culture, as this is being played real time. You can mention current events if you want to. You can use any electronic device that you wish to use, with exception. For example, you can’t take out your time machine to determine who the killers are. 6. I won’t keep you in a certain room if you don’t want me too. However, you may not return to a room that you were already in, so ensure that you have searched every part of the room before leaving. 7. There are a few NPC’s in certain areas of the town. These NPC’s might have evidence, however they might not. Also, the evidence given by them might be false information. You cannot do anything other than talk to these NPC’s. You can only go and speak to them when you arrive in their area. For example, each NPC is in a certain part of the town. If you’re at point A, you cannot go and speak to an NPC at point B. 8. Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning. A second failure will result in the death of your character. 9. There are no night actions or chapter actions. However, there are Miscellaneous Actions. With this system, if you’d like to PM me a non-lethal action (I.E; “I’d like to go visit Player A”), then that’s fine. However, things that could harm people (I.E; “I’d like to go kill Player A”) are not allowed. These are only allowed at night. Night comes at the end of every chapter. I’ll allow most anything, so let your imaginations go wild. However, you can’t leave Lexington. That is not a valid action. 10. No Metagaming please. Also, don’t base suspicions on how the person looks. 11. There will be a life-point system. Every player starts out with ten life-points, and regenerates one life point at the end of a chapter. For example, if you fall and twist your ankle, you’d likely lose one life point. If you fall off a boat into an engine prop, you’re likely to lose most if not all of your life points. Think logically. Perhaps walking along the rickety boards in the construction zone is not a good idea. 12. The host is usually always right. "Good news gang!" We might be getting this game started a lot sooner then previously planned. If all goes according to schedule, look for it in approximately four hours.
-
Don't worry, we won't be starting until Mid-Sunday, Eastern Standard Time. As said, each day will last 96 hours. My timer is a person locked in my basement. It's said you can't go 96 hours without water, so when he dies I'll know the chapter is over.

Welcome to Lexington: One of the many suburban towns of the United States, Lexington has a history stretching back to the California Gold Rush of 1848. However, today, it's a town in which people who cannot stand living in the major cities it's nearby live. The children of the town play in the streets and generally enjoy a carefree lifestyle. There is no danger in Lexington. The beach is usually a hotspot for locals, meaning that it's mostly quiet and relaxed. People come to practice yoga and karate during the mornings, and surf during the afternoons on the waves. Lexington's old buildings serve the populace well, with the general necessities that the townsfolk need to survive. And Lexington's Police Force is always ready to respond to the calls that never occur. However, what you don't see is all of the problems that Lexington has. Problems that will be exposed as the days go on. Problems that could kill. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Welcome to Suburbia, you should have received your PM. Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum II: Fraulein Bloodbrick
Bob replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Damnit! I died already! I think I beat Pencoin for fastest Mafia Death. I'm sure def will explain all in the end, and I'll get him back. -
Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum II: Fraulein Bloodbrick
Bob replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Hello, my name is Marcy and I expect to survive this whole ordeal. I also predict that none of you will even vote me out, since I am obviously innocent. Just look at me, I have the same goofy smile all the time. I also cut myself, so don't mess with me or I'll cut you. -
Sign-ups are now closed. Thank you to the 14 people who signed up, roles will be out soon.
-
As of now we have fourteen people, which leaves two spots still open.
-
I was wondering where you were! We have 12 players now, enough to start the game. Should we leave it open to see if anyone else wants to join, or close it and move forward?
-
Red Scare Mystery ran along side four mafias, I believe. (Eurodina, Dr. Bloodbricks, Werewolf, and The Forest) Others (Red Moon, Mystery on the Emerald Express) have as well.
-
I'm not sure what you mean. Historically, mafia and mystery games have run along side each other. I think I'll end up shorting it down to twelve players, leaving one spot open. If it's not filled, I'll just shorten it further to eleven.
-
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to host the game. I've scaled down the game to fewer characters, and also a smaller time frame since days are 96 hours long. This game won't really last as long as Red Scare did. As I said above, I'd likely have to rework much of the story if I cut out 5 roles. In all honesty if there's 11 people that signed up, my worry is that some of you will lose interest a lot faster. I also welcome people who have never played a mystery before. It's a bit moderate difficulty wise, and I will help you along the way.
-
Right then. So far, we have 11/16 players. Signups have been open since Wednesday, and there hasn't been a signup in the last 24 hours. So, I'm in a tough spot here. I'm very close to simply cancelling the game, but I spent a great deal of time on it, about 30 or so hours I'd say. I spent about 12 hours on the sets themselves, making new buildings and whatnot. I am not sure why there's a lack of interest in the game. I've hosted a rather good mystery before this one, however it could be because very few people (the 11 that signed up) actually like mysteries. I'm rather disappointed actually, but I cannot force people to signup. If anyone cares, I am willing to hear your thoughts.
-
Hands Up! Given by Hinckley for my silly idea in Baritones III that those raising their hands in a picture were scum. It's also my first title ever.
-
We're still looking for a few more spots. Thanks for signing up, def, even though you have your game to host and all.
-
Yeah. It took up to much space and took to much time to type and whatnot. This is easier, I think.

Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum II: sign up thread
Bob replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I would like to play. I may or may not be considered 'crazy'.... -
Six spots left, however it would seem that many people are worried that they'd conflict with Bloodbrick II. Thus, I'll postpone the signup cutoffs until def has published the player list. Those who didn't make it could (if they want) come here.
-
There are currently nine spots still open.
