Great design, excellent built, nice colors, and the containers add-on is simply fantastic. Congrats for this MOC 100% SW Expanded Universe.

While preparing the next exhibition, I am building some small modules to place along my Star Wars 12V train layout. Those modules will be integrated into larger layouts. So first, find a couple of small Twin Laser Turrets, that are very effective against flying speeders or fighters. Twin Laser Turrets by Veynom, on Flickr Turrets can rotate and laser can elevate. Part of the design is directly inspired from one of the recent battle packs. Twin Laser Turrets by Veynom, on Flickr Next comes a watchtower made in collaboration with my 11-year son. He had the original idea and first design. I mainly added some details and industrialized the built so that we could build 2 of them. And here comes my latest MOC: the hybrid crossing between a STar Wars Y-Wing and a Star Trek USS Enterprise. Hybrid Bomber Wing by Veynom, on Flickr I based my model out of the Lego 75172 Y-Wing set and then started really heavily modifying everything. A new prototype is ready by Veynom, on Flickr The resulting model is very sturdy, fully swosshable, and not-so-ugly-kind-of, at least if you like flying junk ships. Preparing the new Wing bomber by Veynom, on Flickr Loading the bombs by Veynom, on Flickr As play features, I kept the bombing compartment, the rotating gun, the astromech slot, and the opening cockpit. The colors have moved from yellow to black, LBG, DBG, and white. A darker scheme in the end. Good job, Admiral! by Veynom, on Flickr It looks like the rebel admirals are relatively satisfied with the resulting hybrid bomber. I have been told it looks a bit like the Firefly Serenity, which I did not know before. I'm still looking for a valid name for that ship. One of the proposals on the table would be a Goose-Wing as it has a duck look. Comments welcome.

Thank you. The shuttle is a MOD from the Phantom 2. In a future picture, I will display them both. Thanks. :) This is indeed how I envision the notion of "expanded universe" with Star Wars. Thank you so much for this very nice post. To be 100% honest, the medical logo already existed within the Star Wars universe. I merely included it in my custom clones and generalized the use of the logo on the vehicles, like we can see on existing military units.

Medical Corps by Veynom, on Flickr The Medical Corps is a military unit providing medical services too all army personnel, in war and peace. The Medical corps services were formed during the Clone Wars and incorporated to the Grand Army of the Republic. The decision to create such unit was taken by the Senate of the Republic as the war started to prolongate and to expand onto a growing number of planets through the Galaxy. A majority of senators acted that then that it would be less expensive and faster to attempt “fixing battle-damaged clones” than growing more. However, and still for budgetary reasons, the future Medical Corps would be granted only second-grade equipment: modified outdated ships and speeders, old droids and equipment… Still, the Medical Corps was voted in and assigned with the task of identifying, evacuating, healing clones wounded on the various battlefields before sending them back to active duty. With the rise of the Empire, the Medical Corps was simply renamed into Imperial Medical Corps. Equipment were barely upgraded on a strict necessity basis and the overall budget did not really increase. Classified documents from the Commission for the Preservation of the New Order (COMPNOR) later revealed that showing wounded troops and casualties had to be considered as negative propaganda that could only serve any rebellion movement. Therefore appearance, size, and image of the medical care activities should keep a low-visibility profile. Armor and Gear Medical Platoon by Veynom, on Flickr Medical Corps members were first clones and as such had standard clone armors retrieved from the Grand Army surplus. Only a specific medical marking pattern based on dark red was applied to distinguish them from regular combat units. Because of the budget restrictions, not all armors were similar across the unit. Several container crates were also generously lent to the Medical Corps. Rumours from the field report that often, speeders, crates, and other equipment were simply recycled from various battlefields and repaired for active duty inside the Medical Corps HowTo: The speeder bike is a MOD from the 75090 set while the crate is a recolouring of the 75141 crate. The crate can be attached to the speeder. The medical logo is a custom decal (water transfer) Medivac Platoon in action by Veynom, on Flickr QH-6 LAVr Medilance QH-6 LAVr Medilance by Veynom, on Flickr The LAVr QH-6 chariot is a multi-functional speeder universally exploited by various ground forces as a light transport vehicle. The Medilance variant has been adapted to medical care and can carry one stretcher. QH-6 LAVr Medilance by Veynom, on Flickr HowTo: MOC with custom decals inspired by the old LL-924 design. The root can be opened to add or remove the pilot. Several accessories can be moved inside to simulate medical activities. The stretcher easily slide in and out. These could carry up to two wounded troopers on stretchers, a droid (often a EG-6 Power droid to power medical devices), and the pilot. Very nice turret. I'm a big fan myself of that kind of MOC. Your ladder and subtle greebling is neat. Regarding the muzzle, maybe try adding 4 2x1 round bricks ?

Nice work. This has been one of my favorite ships since quite over a decade. Will you share the ldd once completed? I could attend a built at it. Regarding greebling, I suggest you not to over-greeble. The Armada version is a bit too much when compared to Rebels or Legends materials. Keep on the nice MOCs !

I can tell you that even when you have a large stock of parts, it is not easy to reproduce the orange crates, mainly because of the modified plates. Quite a rare element. I had more fun inventing the bombs (on the left, with the orange 1x1 tiles). Common parts, easy creation. I will post additional pictures of the interior very soon.

Nice job. The brick-built wings are indeed nicer than the plated wings. UCS is maybe too large of a scale for this model and I wonder if something more "system scale" would not be more appropriate. I will keep checking your progresses, good luck!

It looks very nice. However the supports look a bit weak to me and I would be afraid that the wings would bend, particularly the top wings.

Thank you all for the nice comments. :) This is a deliberate choice. I was not building a light grey tank with only a couple of details in dark grey. I built a tank with a modern camouflage pattern. And I can confirm it is effective when the tank is on a base plates among other vehicles or facilities, you do not distinguish its shape correctly. :) According to Wookieepedia, it is not flagged as "Legend". The canon universe is re-using a lot of Legend materials when it comes to ships and vehicles. In SW Rebels season II, the Quasar Fire-class carrier is another example.

Today I propose a colour variant of the 7679 Republic Fighter Tank set. TX-130 Saber-class fighter tank by Veynom, on Flickr I wanted to create a version of this tank that would have been in active service during the first years of the Galactic Empire, immediately after the Clone War's end and the Republic's fall. TX-130 Saber-class fighter tank by Veynom, on Flickr Based on the model visible in the Star Wars Commander video game, I decided to go with a bi-colour paint-scheme based on light and dark blueish greys, similar to some existing camouflage patterns. In no particular order, I will list: - extra detailing on the side wings; - on the side turrets; - engine panel and tank "nose"; - tank sides that are slightly rounded. I modded the official set quite heavily and because i used thick wings, i could use 3 technic pins per wing to make sure they are well attached. But i agree my Defender is rather a "Heavy Defender" kind of TIE. ;)
