  1. Purpearl keeps an eye on Grishnod.
  2. "That's right. Grishnod's with us. The orcs at the barricade were pleased to see the return of Grishnod. And Grishnod said he will see to it that they have no more issues with humans or any other foreigners in this great city. If we present Gishnod to the riot crowd, I suppose that will appease and disperse the crowd? Then we can interrogate whoever that's still unhappy and wants further violence."
  3. "I'm Purpearl Berthadhiell, what's your name?" Purpearl darts a glance at Grishnod and turns back. "We rescued Grishnod Ironnose from the Fire Nords and escorted him back here... to exchange him for Valentino."
  4. "Well that's unfortunate if your leader is quick to dump traditions. Rest assured we aren't here to take away your jobs or cause trouble of sorts, but we need you to let us enter. We have business in the city that concerns one of your kind and it's urgent. It is not convenient to talk here, but our guest would greatly appreciate it if you to let us in. Feel free to take a look at our guest and let us pass." "What business do you two have in this city?" says Purpearl, trying to keep them occupied.
  5. IIRC, Dreyrugr was the only PC at the auxillary building that would have known Grishnod's from Clan Irlaz
  6. Purpearl replies, "Pardon me, and thanks for filling me in. I guess maybe I am still new and inexperienced to the organisation." "What... did your precious ruler say about our kind doing at your city?"
  7. OOC: Purpearl should have 10 health instead of 11. Purpearl was taken back by what's presented before her. Certainly something she's never seen before. "Mirona, Orcish Wars you say? I suppose it's between the kingdoms and the orcs?" Before stealing a glance at Grishnod, wondering which clan he might be from... OOC: Vash, thinking you might know something that might possibly get us through. "Any reason why the city's closed? Orc friend?" Purpearl notices something different about the gnome, and wonders if she should talk to him. She contemplated for a while, unsure if she should. <Hang in there, my friend>.
  8. OOC: Purpearl should have 10 health instead of 11. As Purpearl reaches the wagon and rejoins the circus troupe, she turns around and gives General Hamilton a little salute. There isn't a need to say anything, as she could feel the surge of confidence through the air that surrounds him.
  9. "Mint has fought honourably. Four Boulders will find another, and a new leader will rise from the shadows of Mint's death. We can only hope they break the barriers of the past and become greater than before. Till next time."
  10. Fire Spell at War Dog A from the back row.
  11. Scroll of Weakening at Mint from the back row.
  12. Scroll of Weakening at Four Boulder Heavy A from the back row.
  13. Scroll of Weakening at Four Boulder Soldier B from the back row. Edit: Scroll of Weakening at Four Boulder Heavy A from the back row.
  14. "Matthias, let's do this together! While it might seem advantageous to focus our attention on different enemies, it is more optimal for us to work together. These beasts are unpredictable." With that, Purpearl casts Scroll of Weakening at War Dog A from the back row.
  15. "Baradock, this is a fight between Mint and General Hamilton. They are brought together for a reason. They are not neighbours for nothing. They sleep on the same land that nurtures and nourishes them and it is their duty to iron out their conflicting affairs. At the end of all things, they will come to realisation that all of this is part of something greater. We are here for a reason. We need you Baradock, Borris and the circus troupe need your protection. The Orc needs to be with us and your Benefactor will not be too pleased with our little internal strife here." Purpearl speaks.
  16. Purpearl downs a potion from the back row.
  17. OOC: Darkdragon should have her Opal back. "Yes, I am not from this land. But the manner you conduct yourself, the way you articulate, speak volumes about the culture you grew up in, the ideologies that you hold close to your heart. There is nothing contrary to the denial of the ideologies that others hold, provided such denial is unaccompanied by incessant and scurrilous satire that permeate as tactics of vilification." "My stand is firm on this matter, Mint."
  18. "Mint, who proclaims himself as a General. A politician that swears on the people he serves, who treats the sanctity of life like a saint. Now, the very human being who proclaims himself to be who he is, of pride, of honour and of reason, has vehemently constructed snidely remarks filled with insinuations and of disparage. Numerous pairs of ears and eyes will bear witness to your intent of homicide. Living organisms here with us, but not limited to human beings, elf, undead, birds, insects, as well as this very ground you erect yourself will bear testimony against the unjustifiable, inexcusable and intentional killing of a lowly peasant elf without deliberation and premeditation. The demonstration of such malice will send waves of uncertainty throughout Four Boulders, Red Lizard as well as the entire Baltarok. Strike, and seeds of apprehension will bear its fruit into something more sinister. Strike, and injunctions issued by any country's High Court will only be theoretical. Strike, and the ramifications of what will happen will be irredeemable and no amount of resurrective substances can revert back to its originality."
  19. "Blood will be on your hands when politics in your country fail. Not us. Tell your people some circus troupe ruined your treaty plans. Tell the people that you serve that the deaths of their kin and loved ones isn't your fault. Tell your court advisers some lowly peasant refuses to hand over the Orc. Unless you show me we have some common ground, your country's politics and the ramifications of your failure are the least of my concern."
  20. Purpearl turns to Mint, "I am certainly not interested in your relations with the Nords, it seems to me that the Nords are pushing all your right buttons. Handing over that green face to you will just be pacifying the Nords. If you truly care for your people, you would have already considered other more viable options. We are here for other reasons and we are not obliged to fill you in at the moment until we establish some common grounds. Until then I am certainly not handing over the Orc to you, Mint. Purpearl turns to Hamilton, "We are going to do what we came here to do. That is exchanging Grishnod for your King Valentino. We complete our mission, you get your King back. The rest of the politics, you know how to deal with it. A politician like yourself certainly don't need a circus performer to give you advice on how to run your country."
  21. "Grishnod is an Orc warlord from the Orc clans that was unfortunately captured by the Fire Nords during their routine raids. Those orcs are the same orcs that currently hold King Valentino from the Red Lizard Kingdom. Cut the long story short, if anyone here wants their King Valentino back, we have to use Grishnod as the bargaining chip."
  22. Purpearl's eyes open and she finds herself lying on the icy ground beside one smelling salt and one grand potion. She gets up on her feet, brushes off any remaining ice on her face and dress and returns the Opal to Cinna. "Thanks for the Opal and the healing." Purpearl also accepts the smelling salt and the grand potion. "Thanks much! Like our friend Matthias has said, it may be some time we might put it to good use. However, we appreciate your kind gesture. It is a great honour to fight alongside with you and your fellow party members." Purpearl extends her hand out, "Purpearl Berthadhiell, Elven Mage."
  23. OOC: Someone please revive the three of us?
  24. Purpearl's body lies motionless on the ground, unaware of the events that are happening around her.
  25. Right. Trying hard to target the harpies with scroll in hand and reading it at the same time, Purpearl feels frustrated by her inexperience. In the midst of confusion, one of the harpies does a flanking manoeuvre and strikes Purpearl and her party by surprise. Dizziness sets in immediately and everything seems to be a blur. Her knees plunge into the icy ground, and all she could barely see is her fellow party members being struck down as the remaining heroes charge forward. "Nelyvn..." and Purpearl's face smashes into the ground.
