Purpearl shakes her head in disappointment, at the lack of mutual understanding in the party. She flips her wand as she speaks, "I thought this was an easy decision for us to make, let's take a vote. Alexis, Matthias, Nerwen."

Seeing Matthias shiver in fear, Purpearl pulls out her wand in readiness, wavering it stealthily at the snake. "Don't worry, Matthias, you're with us. As long as we create a controlled environment with plenty of positive reinforcements, your fear of snakes will be nullified before you know it."

Matthias gave Purpearl a sudden jolt of surprise as he darted behind her. Instinctively, she steadies herself and extends one of her arms in an attempt to protect Matthias. "We can either kill it outright, or get it to tell us useful information before we set it free*" *Also means killing it

Purpearl acknowledges Matthias' translation with a nod and kindly addresses the frog, signalling Matthias or Nerwen to translate whenever they can. "Sir Peter the Solid, pleased to meet you. I am most glad to assist you in your task. I know this might be a long shot, but I've never been to Lord Chauncey's mansion. Since we're all here outside his mansion, do you happen to know much about the lay of the land around here and within the mansion itself? Any guards that you've noticed so far?"

"You seemed quite natural back there, perhaps animal talk used to be something you were familiar with."

The most anticipated quest... apart from the Shadeaux quest, which sounds rather awesome as well. Will definitely be watching from the sidelines!

Purpearl nods kindly at the bartender as she prepares herself. "Let's go."

Purpearl takes a sip, and narrows her eyes and holds her breath for a second in hesitation, as her gnomish comrade downs the drink in large quantities. Her face turning red as she blushes, remaining silent as she takes another sip.

Purpearl approaches the bar and looks at what's available. She had a mulled wine earlier in the day and wonders if she should have more. But she orders two flaming gumballs anyway. She turns to the gnome and smiles, "Here, have a flaming gumball, my treat."

Purpearl turns to Alexis, "I'm told he's probably very well prepared for that event. They would've noticed us when we first arrived. It is rather hard to miss from that vantage point, if they're vigilant enough. Let's hope that the duel isn't actually taking place in his mansion, we might have some trouble breaking in. But I digress, we should definitely check it out, together."

OOC: That would be showing favouritism! But I'm sure all the players in Heroica go through the same pathway. All are lower levels at some point. Having bonus battles just for us lower levels might be a little unfair for the others who want to level up. "It's already sunset, we can go to the Tavern together and maybe spilt up from there, if the Market isn't already closed by now."

"If Avetine is here, it would be the most ideal. But we can't be sure unless we find him. Tavern might be a good place to start with, especially at this hour." Purpearl takes note of the setting sun, "We've lost a day and time is definitely not on our side, we should get going whenever we're ready." Purpearl nods at Alexis, "Let's see if we can find those ruffians at the tavern."

"I haven't got that luxury to have my path shown graciously by Ennoc's light, nor do I have the teachings of The Paladin Order to abide to." Purpearl teases, "Perhaps knowledge and enlightenment comes in different forms. She pauses for a moment before continuing, "I believe in nature and the ether that intertwines all things. Sometimes it is better to let things find its form by guiding it rather than being contingent about it." Turning to Matthias, rather concerned by the strange sounds he's been making consistently, "Are you alright?"

As Purpearl leads the party out, she turns to Russel, "Keeping an eye on the enemy, good thinking. Hopefully he's there by the time we reach." Purpearl's not too unfamiliar with horse riding, but riding on a horse that breathes fire, that's a first for her, "XX, where did you get your hands on these horses?" "Matthias." Purpearl signals to Matthias, hoping he could perhaps converse with the Hell Horse. Might or might not get anything out of it, but it's worth trying considering Hell is often associated with Demons.

Here's something to make you extra lethal next time." Purpearl downs the mulled wine as she turns to XX, tossing him a venom from her own pouch, "Saw how you finished off that werewolf." "You're right, our man is still alive, so there's still hope. Maybe you can track them down for us?" Purpearl asks politely. Turning to Crowley and Morrison, Purpearl smiles, "Appreciate your help, you're free to come along with us if you wish."

OOC: Zepher, XX's damage to Evel should be ([WP20+LV32]*2(Encouraged)*2(Fire)*2(Evel Fragile)/2(Back Row) = 208), leaving Evel with 119/365. OOC: nstickney, is Matthias attacking Direwolf D (Lv10) from the front or back? Purpearl fails to blind Evel, but wastes little time as she swings a fire spell at one of the wolves. "Keep up the good work everyone!" as she directs Russel, Sir Pigley and XX to their various targets. There's a chance that I might roll a Magic Burst if Purpearl's to act before Matthias, potentially clearing all the Direwolves, leaving Matthias to target the next enemy in line (Evel). Alexis - Cat-o-Nine-Tails vs. Evel >XX (Alchemist) - Dangerous Dagger vs. Evel. If Evel is dead, Dangerous Dagger vs. any opponent that remains.

OOC: I've put XX to attack as an Alchemist, since I wouldn't want to risk him attacking as a Cannoneer and rolling 1 at the same time, potentially damaging all of us. I have put Nerwen as first in the BO instead of Purpearl just to cover our bases (still a possibility that spawns will cause free hit in this round). As for the scrolls, I am easy on any, but I've decided to go Scroll of Blindness because Alexis decided to attack Evel at the front (trying to negate any potential damage if Alexis gets a bad roll). Scroll of Sealing wouldn't do much as Evel doesn't cast spells. Circumstances might change as we go on, so I will just leave it as it is. OOC: Masked, Evel is immuned to Darkness but your fan has Darkness in it, so it would not work against Evel. Purpearl hears the conversation between Matthias and Russel, but couldn't understand animal talk. Just as a precaution, she calls out, "Master Russel and Sir Pigley, would you be so kind to attack Direwolves A and B?" The mage then turns to XX, "XX, no bombs alright. Just that Dangerous Dagger at Evel, please." OOC: I think fire works on all enemies, including Evel, since they are all beasts.

OOC: Not too sure how Matthias' cannon work. If Matthias targets Direwolf C and rolls damage/special damage, would he take extra damage/special damage from Direwolf B and Evel?

Purpearl drinks the mulled wine and turns to Matthias, "Very much appreciated. Send a word of thanks for me, Matthias."

Taking a quick glance at her party, Purpearl notices Nerwen as she joins the bar where Matthias' at, who seems to enjoy this time conversing with the others. Turning around, she gives Aventine a slight smile, "No doubt about that, I suppose you hired XX to come along as well, are there any reasons why you would approach him to assist you?" "Just give the word if you see any need for it. Anyway, how did you come by such adorable characters?" Purpearl winks and blushes a little, as she directs her attention at Russel and Pigley.

OOC: Purpearl should have 14 ether (no longer has crocodile handbag equipped) and one less topaz (Nerwen should have 1 topaz) Purpearl takes a quick scan around the bar as Aventine mentions Lord Chauncey's name. She notices the raven sitting close by and moves the seat closer to Aventine and whispers, so that no one else hears. "I see, I suppose we should have an understanding that publicly announcing his name and title would do more harm than good. Especially when we have guests around." Purpearl hands Nerwen her Thorny Rose. "Thank you for the heal and your kind support."

Entering the Albatross, Purpearl's pleased that everyone in the party's being covert with their actions and gives them a slight nod. She takes up a seat beside Aventine and speaks in a hush tone, ensuring no one else hears, "Things might get messy once the bad weather hits and kinds of people start pouring in to seek shelter. It's possible that your former apprentice may pay off people to, you know, keep an eye on you before appearing himself. Do you think you'll be comfortable here out in the open or do you need a room for the night?"
