  1. Distracted for a moment, Nelvyn only targets a Skirmisher (preferably M). Purpearl retreats back to the Central Tower and does nothing for the moment. She looks west and realises Grishnod's beloved daughter, Bastala, has entered the fray.
  2. Seeing Benji and Dyric move alongside Matthias and herself at the Eastern Front, Purpearl turns to them, "Mind moving to the Eastern Border when you get the chance if you are targeting those Archers? The less experienced heroes here cannot take any extra damage from them." Purpearl takes a Smelling Salt and does nothing. Nelvyn moves to Eastern Border and attacks Skirmisher H from the front. Nelvyn only strikes the next Skirmisher in line if Skirmisher H is dead.
  3. Nelvyn moves to Eastern Border and attacks Skirmisher H from the front. Purpearl casts a Darkness Spell through Heavy Metal Rod at Skirmisher I from the back. Both do nothing if Skirmisher H and I are already dead.
  4. Let me try again. "Nelvyn, please attack Skirmisher F from the front row, then retreat back to East Front for your next turn." Purpearl uses a Healing Staff on Nelvyn from the back row.
  5. "Nelvyn, please attack Skirmisher F from the back row, then do nothing for your next turn." Purpearl uses a Healing Staff on Dreyrugr from the back row.
  6. She nods at Haldor, "Thanks." Purpearl unequips Crimson Arcanon, High Heels and equips Heavy Metal Rod, Gladiator's Helmet.
  7. Purpearl turns to Haldor, "Can I borrow your Heavy Metal Rod and Gladiator's Helmet if that is ok?"
  8. Purpearl turns to Nelvyn, "Nelvyn, please take your Smelling Salt and move to East Border. And take care." Purpearl steps forward, positions herself at the East Front and signals at Dreyrugr, "I will try to heal you with the Healing Staff when the battle starts."
  9. "Where is this paladin and your son that commands this army? Are they commanding the army from the rear? Shouldn't they be leading the charge if they so wanted this war?" "Soldiers will normally fight a little bit harder when their general or commander fights alongside them. Who will fight a little bit harder this time? Whose morale is greater? Who has greater resolve? The orcs or the Kingdoms?" "Trade, economic and cultural interactions can happen anytime, anywhere. Prosperity is not going to happen anytime soon if this paladin continues to manipulate the King's son through paranoia and lies. But all this is temporary. If this paladin is rooted out or his life comes to an end, chances are a change in leadership will most likely make the Kingdoms in a better position to negotiate. But the oppression of the orcs must come to an end. This is the kind of tragedy that time cannot heal, only to make it worse. The orcs have to make their stand and make their voice heard. And it will be today. No doubt many lives will be lost if war ensues, but if the orcs emerge victorious, it will be a day where the orcs are emancipated. It will be a day where future generations will take heart that this is the day that the orcs are set free. I will give it my all and fight for their cause. I am with the orcs."
  10. "The Orcs murdered the High Kingdom General Mint? As a matter of fact, King Valentino, it was General Hamilton from the Red Lizards who took General Mint's life, not he orcs. More than half of us here bear witness to that. You should be wary of the people who decides to sneak these untruths into your consciousness. Thousands of innocent lives perished because of that little reinvention of words. We all know who wants war on your side, the Four Boulders aren't here, yet you speak as if your hands are tied. You are the King, are you not? Is it not that you command the force that is on your side of the bridge? Is it not that you have the influence over your son and your subjects?"
  11. "That would be ideal, but I have little hope in that regard."
  12. "I am with the orcs if it comes down to the wire. Hweyrt, a subject of King Valentino, hired the circus to hire us to save his King. Upon completion of the task, we got ditched. The High Kingdoms have shown their true self in face of dire situations. Hweyrt only cared about things that benefited him most and nothing else. Hweyrt paid off the circus, took King Valentino back and sealed the bridge. Now that's some hospitality and gratitude we got for saving his King. King Valentino, a leader of men, clearly valued his safety over everyone else's. Not once did he express some sort of gratitude for saving his dear life by suggesting that we should be escorted to someplace safer. Being stuck in the middle of the bridge isn't the safest place to be honest. As a leader, he lacked the capacity to care for other sentient beings. Clearly, Hweyrt and King Valentino are self centered and have put their immediate interests over everything else. After all the hard work, after having close encounters with death itself, the circus and our party are being double crossed by people from the High Kingdoms, who possesses some sort of limitations in their view of the world. In contrast, Grishnod also had every opportunity to use King Valentino's lifeless head to instil fear through the ranks of High Kingdoms before the war, but he didn't. Even though time and time again, our party and the circus acted against his will, he has put revenge and spite aside for honour and compassion. Grishnod has transcended his own personal desires and has replaced them with the array of duties and values that a true leader should be upholding."
  13. "That guy in red Borris, is your benefactor I suppose. Looks like he just ditched and left us in the lurch." She turns her head and looks onto either side, trying to figure out who the approaching groups are. She's worried about what's to come. She then turns to Matthias and sighs, "The High Kingdom soldiers launched a sneak attack on the orcs. And that guy that paid off Borris, just took all our hard work for granted. I suppose the High Kingdoms hired Borris to hire us to bring back King Valentino, if that's all they've got to offer, I'm with the orcs. Clearly, they need the orcs to fill their ethical void." "Will do." Purpearl approaches the undead elf, "Nelyvn, will you be coming with me?"
  14. The now Purpearl, as she steps out of the palace courtyard, has deep respects for the orcs. They remain steadfast in their beliefs, values and traditions in face of adversity and the changing world is something to be commended. Beliefs and values are long lasting, and that's the reason these orcs grip on so tightly to them. Other beings might see orcs as violent and full of filth, but for Purpearl, they are not. She sees the good in them. They are deeper than what everyone might think they are. They are proud of who they are and what they believe in. They have every reason to not return King Valentino because of their past adversaries and yet, they are true to their word. That is enough to earn the respect of any bystander. And they did. As Purpearl reunites with the circus, she turns to Borris, "We should probably be on our way." She takes a long hard look at King Valentino, but did not say anything.
  15. "It is pointless to tame a mature phoenix. Try to reign it with the chains of traditions, and it will just break free of whatever constraints it is placed under. A phoenix is supposed to be set free, in order to achieve its full potential. We cannot break free of what's already set in stone or try to be someone we are not. Just like a pot will always be a pot. A cook will use the pot for stew. A magician will use the pot for magical concoctions. A warrior will use the pot as a weapon. As a leader, Grishnod, what would you do with a pot and a phoenix? Trying to fit the phoenix into the pot? Or to use it as a weight to bind the phoenix? Or fill it with what the phoenix likes? Traditions are traditions. The orcs have it for a couple of hundred years now. But what you are facing here isn't just traditions alone. It's your loved ones as well. Times are changing, sometimes traditions won't be able to stand the test of time, sometimes they do. It's what you do with it, that makes you a true leader."
  16. OOC: No worries, DD. Purpearl uses a Mead on Dreyrugr from the back row. "Grishnod will not be able to take down the Hulk with one hit without a Mead if it is still asleep on his turn. It is best not to awaken the Hulk when that happens." Grishnod does nothing from the back row.
  17. "The Hulk will wake up as soon as one of us manage to land a hit. So we have one chance to hit it hard and hopefully we kill it." Purpearl will apply a Mead on Dreyrugr if Dreyrugr attacks the Hulk from the back row. Grishnod does nothing from the back row. i.e. Purpearl and Grishnod will do nothing from the back row if the above condition is not met. If no one else targets the Hulk, Purpearl will apply a Mead on Grishnod and Grishnod will attack the Hulk from the front row.
  18. Purpearl turns to Cinna, "Cinna, your spells are more than capable of finishing the Hulk within the next two rounds before the negative effect of the mushroom kicks in. Dreyrugr and Grishnod are in no state to face the Hulk, they can only attack the Hulk with full health just to be safe from harm's way. If your scroll fails, the Hulk will land a free hit on you. It is better if you attack the Hulk from the back. I have a grand potion in hand, ready to use if anything happens."
  19. Purpearl watched in horror as Dreyrugr and Grishnod were beaten up badly by the Hulk. She quickly signals Grishnod to retreat, "You have fought gallantly Grishnod, but it is wiser to stay out of harm's way for the time being." Grishnod does nothing from the back row. Purpearl casts Scroll of Weakening at the Hulk from the back row.
  20. Great work on #39! Can't wait to see what happens next!
  21. Relieved that the other mushrooms have been taken care of, Purpearl turns to Grishnod, "Please attack the Hulk from the back row." Purpearl does nothing from the back row.
  22. "Alright Grishnod, smash that Hulk from the back row. If it is dead before you reach it, go for Guard A (from the back)." as Purpearl does nothing at the back (row).
  23. After taking a half lethal blow from the mushroom, Purpearl retreats to the back row and administers a Grand Potion on Dreyrugr. "Grishnod, Myconid Guard A is a bit tougher than it seems, please slice it with your sword from the back row."
  24. Purpearl repeats her attack by attempting to cast another fire spell at Myconid Guard A and signals Grishnod to repeat his attack as well. EDIT: If Myconid Guard A's dead before Purpearl's turn, Purpearl does not wish to attack any further but administers a Grand Potion on Dreyrugr instead.
  25. I am thinking back row. Taking 80 dmg at the front is just too risky.
