Collectable Minifigures Advent Calendar 2015 - LDD MOC
Blakstone replied to Yooha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I like approach on this year's CMF advent. The elf is my favorite so far. Keep up the great work. -
Minifigures Series 16 Guessing Game
Blakstone replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It could easily be Highland Chieftain using the mullet and the duel molded legs and arms. I was about to get a bunch of these guys on Bricklink under the MSRP. I even bought a couple Jungle Boys to use the bare chested torsos with that kilt. -
Historic Lego Build Christmas Present
Blakstone replied to Melthegerm's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
You may also find the Hobbit Lake-Town sets really cheap and they would be a good start on Historic LEGO MOCs. I don't design my MOCs on the computer before building them. Instead I fiddle around with pieces from my loose parts and then make additional Bricklink orders when I know what pieces I need. -
In prior years, CopMike's rule specifically stated no trading. This is a complex enough operation for him to run as it is. We can manage the trades after we receive them in the appropriate forum.

Latest CMF series impact on Historic themes
Blakstone replied to SirBlake's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I agree with Robert on that. Besides, CMF is a great place for LEGO to service themes that do not have enough audience to carry waves. Give me three years of CMF where we get multiple Castle themed minifigs instead of one wave dedicated to Castle which would like mean no more Castle in future CMFs. -
Yes, the last two years, I created a trading thread here http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showforum=16 I plan on doing the same... if I win again. But you are welcome to start one now.

Count me as an Anglophile as well. I am currently building a Victorian London street with a pub for a library display. Oh, you are using UK for University of Kentucky? LOL

Latest CMF series impact on Historic themes
Blakstone replied to SirBlake's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The sigal is not on the Bear Knight's torso. After seeing the hi-def image, it looks like chain mail. -
What do you think about the rumored CMF Direct 2 Consumer (D2C) set? If it was a Disney one, I would have thought it would be tagged as Disney. Perhaps we could get a nice D2C Castle. That might be a good way to provide classic Castle fans a set while Nexo Knights run.

Latest CMF series impact on Historic themes
Blakstone replied to SirBlake's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The scary knight has his bear device printed on his torso in addition to his shield. For NK fans, it should work well with their armor. For the rest of us, we get a classic Castle minifigure. Talk about excellent synergy. -
Lego Minifigures Series 15 Guessing Game
Blakstone replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I have a direct hit with Ballerina. Spaceman Wielder and New Ninja, I have to leave to our judge, Itaria, to decide. When we saw the helmet for the Winged Warrior, I had hoped to claim a near hit with Viking chieftan as well. However, seeing the entire figure, it isn't anything like a Viking or a Valkyrie. -

The rest of Series 15 is revealed.... http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=113150&st=1025#entry2397654 We get an updated Bear heraldry on the latest shield. -
Which Modular Buildings Do You Own?
Blakstone replied to Chilly_Productions's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The Modulars are generally discussed under the LEGO Town subforum. I suspect this might be moved or merged with some existing thread there. I have the Pet Shop, Fire Brigade, Parisian Restaurant, and Grand Emporium myself. PR is the favorite of my collection. -
Wow. Those are excellent prizes. I am hoping for the Marvel or Dr Who prizes... if I win. Thanks, CopMike, on continuing this Eurobricks tradition.

Oklahoma LEGO User Group (OKLUG.org)
Blakstone replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
We don't have a date set but our next meeting is likely going to be mid January in Moore. I will update this tread once that is confirmed. We are also building a display for the Yukon library for the month of January. The theme is "Books come to life". Right now we have Where the Wild Things Are, 1984, Don Quixote, and the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Blakstone replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
There was a Simpson's D2C set that came out around the time of each licensed CMF series; however, no one called it a CMF D2C. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Blakstone replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I found this in the Disney CMF thread... but what if it is not the Disney CMF? What other kind of Direct 2 Consumer set would go well with the regular line? I would like a historic style castle myself. -
Special Lego VIP Shopping Event 2015
Blakstone replied to mediumsnowman's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I got mine as a physical invite last Saturday... the day that we had to RVSP by. It is possible that someone either declined or just did not reply and your local store then reached out to you. Does your email give you access to the store before it opens? If not, then it is just a regular promotional email. -

Those would be good but they don't match the artist rendering from the LEGO Club magazine. -
Special Lego VIP Shopping Event 2015
Blakstone replied to mediumsnowman's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have been invited for the first time. I am sure I can find something to buy. -
It is the most wonderful time of the year.... Eurobricks XMas Raffle. Wishing AFOLs everywhere a Merry Yule. With cats, I find it best to hang my "tree" on the wall, least they climb it.

Why is the Series 1 Zombie so expensive?
Blakstone replied to Transparency for Effect's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I know. I had an opportunity to buy the VIP Top 5, but only wanted the Elf. Still I think LEGO could repackage different themed ones like they did for the beach, rock band, and Halloween groups. I am ready anytime that they want to release an Ancient Rome with Caesar, Roman Commander, Roman Centurion, and Gladiator. In a couple of years, they could re-release a zombie minifigure pack with four different zombies, and a caste one with the good knight, king, queen, and jester.- 43 replies

Latest CMF series impact on Historic themes
Blakstone replied to SirBlake's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
That's the thing about wanting new heraldry. LEGO cannot meet the individual demands of thousands of AFOLs. I like the Holy Grail reference which determined the color scheme, but I did not see it as representing an entire faction. I have maybe five of these gangs who can easily fight along side another faction. My preference is for LEGO to have new stag and wolf heraldry since it has been a while since those were done and they could be useful for any Game of Thrones style MOCs. But I can easily see how other AFOLs would prefer something else.
