Yes, still nightly suspicious in my view. BAWK! Wait, I'm sorry, but Booker, this reasoning makes no sense what-so-ever. BAWK! You vote for Casey because "Cameron makes sense to you". But then you make an EXTREMELY strong case against Pennie that is based entirely on her voting for Casey today while hesitating to do so on Day 1. Day 1 would have been the day to swing for Casey if Pennie was a cultist, but if you believe that both Pennie and Casey are cultists, why would today, when its actually close and the votes are extremely split, would Pennie suddenly swing the votes towards a "fellow cultist". This post reads this way, when watered down: I am voting for Casey, but I find Pennie suspect, because she also voted for Casey today but not earlier. It sounds VERY MUCH like you are trying to keep yourself distant from Pennie, while still trying to vote for Casey. Almost as if you don't want ties to Pennie, who MAY be voted out, but you still want to push for Casey, who could logically get Pennie saved. It is also interesting to note that you have a strange voting record. The first day you didn't vote at all? Why not? Clearly we were all wrong, but even so, why not vote? Someone was getting lynched no matter what. Perhaps you didn't want to be tied to an innocent townie death? The second day, you voted for the Cow, but only half-way through the voting, and she was swept away, so nothing can be proved either way on her. Yesterday, you again voted for a minority, again avoiding being tied to the death of an innocent villager. How is it that you have a perfect voting record? BAWK! This troubles me. So much so that I Unvote: Pennie Pig (Eskallon) and Vote: Booker Bear (Dragonator). Convict that person! BAWK! A few strange inconstancies worth pointing out: the trap setter is widely believed to be the SK, not the axe murderer. Why did you say the opposite? Also... why are you 100% certain of the logic used to indicate the SK is with the cultists? What logic? You literally just stated it and then said you were 100% certain of it. Please mail me the logic behind this. We are living in hard economical times. People should mail more. I'm paid on the amount of mail I deliver. Finally, First Lady Bunny, you win the award for the least helpful today. Here, I'm mailing it to you right now. You need to explain your vote if you think it's even remotely important, or no one will side with you and you are just making vague statements and throwing away votes.

"So you are. Damn mead." (OoC: But what's my real life excuse?) Boomingham stares at the greenskin with disdain, but regardless tries twice to heal him, and if he is successful the first time, heals himself. -
Do you know how terrifying it is to read that as a fellow (evil)QM? And skyrimguy, we don't mind commentary on the game... but that post quoted was not commentary on the game. Just try to stick to discussing the Heroica RPG world and characters and themes, and you'll always be fine!

Boomingham cocks his head at Ellaria. "Missy, care to tell me where you got so good at planning battle? You've truly got a gift. I've rarely seen someone think more successfully about what's better for the party. Atramor, keep up your attack, would you, chappo? And if your seaweed could fight the seaweed we just encountered, that'd be lovely. As for yourself, keep up your attack. What wonderful surprises you witches are packed full of. Never thought I'd be fighting alongside seaweed." Boomingham attempts to heal Nyx twice, and if his first attempt succeeds, he also heals himself. Battle Order Boomingham Ellaria Skrall SEAWEED! "It seems our past is not the only past we're diving into. You have much darkness inside you, young Arthur." "It is much like the Gods of the North. My gods. They force growth through conflict. Do you know why my blade is a weapon of fire and ice? They are both forces of nature, and they are both harsh and destructive alone, but together, they temper one to be strong. That is what my people believe." "You asked for my past. I will not share that with you now. We have enough distractions. But I will share with you why I chose my name. The Gray Wizard. It is the great truth that all green heroes fail to see. Young heroes with valiant hearts fail time and time again because they choose to see the world as good and bad, black and white. Each action is either peaceful, or harmful. I have aged out of that lie. I see the world as it is, Gray." "It's something I've still got to learn, apparently. I fail to see how some of the actions we've seen today can be gray. A whole lot of them look black to me, but then again, what do I know? Just a small guard from a small town. I know, I know, much to learn. I can lead troops just fine, it's leading men I have trouble with sometimes. Regardless... will someone help me move the body? She deserves a soldier's funeral. That much I know." McColt walks forward to lift the body. As he lays a hand on it, it shudders. "We.... are..... not..... dead......... we...... are...... an Acerpusculum.... we do not..... die.... so........ easily......" The heroes crowd forward. "My lord... Triad?"

I believe the second is a vision that everyone can see. And I'll reveal the curved Blade's stats in a few minutes, it serves a purpose, pinky promise.

Who's enjoying "The Life and Times of Wren". I am... I'm really happy to see how people react to all this. I'm happy I saved her past for the fourth quest in her five-part story. Though I'm not going to lie, writing it out makes me a little bummed.

"I've already told you, Arthur, that I am known now as the Gray Wizard. My name before that is not important. We all come to Heroica for our own purposes, but once we join Heroica, we join to serve, and we must leave our reasons behind. We may not be able to right our own wrongs, but we get to right the wrongs of others." "The Acerpusculum was named Triad. After the park in Eubric, I believe. That was where she was found, and she was brought to an orphanage and raised there before joining Heroica. She was one of the bravest and most honorable people I knew. She saved my life a total of three times. This quest here was the fourth quest I had gone on with her. She once killed another hero who let a known murderer escape because he offered them enough money." Arthur quibbles and digs, finding a intriguing Curved Blade with three gouges in it, which divides the blade itself into four razor thin blades, all parallel. Alongside it he finds 40 gold and 2 potions. Before he can spy into the cave, however, Tesni gets in the way and picks the flower. A familiar feeling rushes over the heroes. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Roderick and Wren speak in whispers. "I don't want to." "It's time, Wren." "But she doesn't deserve it. People should deserve their fate. They should earn it. She's earned something... better than this." "It's the only way, Wren. She'll stand in the way. She won't understand. She won't help us slay Zoot. Sacrifices must be made for Order to prevail." "But..." "Do not fear now Wren. Now is the time. Now is our time. Go, summon your Beast. Use Zoot to slay Zoot." Wren stares at the Ranger with teary eyes before mumbling a few ancient words. A Chaos Beast, the one that the heroes just fought, emerges into the world silently, without a sound. The Ranger turns slowly and does not raise a hand. "We knew this was to come. We accept what may be. We hope that you perish in your foolishness. May mercy come to all." The Chaos Beast raises its ax over Triad's head before the vision cuts out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The heroes stand, panting, in the clearing. They can now see into the cave. Inside is the bloodied and beaten body of Triad.

Hmmm, I'm so flustered by all of this I could just fling my poo! BAWK! Alright, I'm going to go ahead and Vote: Pennie Pig (Eskallon). The facts against her are simply this: she lobbied with someone on the first day extremely heavily, and then faded from there on in. That sounds very cultist for me. If you're loud at the beginning, no one can claim you've not contributed, but if you're quiet from there on in, you'll fly under the radar. Besides, voting off Pennie BAWK! will put the whole matter of Gordon to rest, or at least the "he was in cahoots with her" thing will be more clear. If she's cult, we've got a clue for tomorrow, and if she's not, we can focus on people other than Gordon. Again, I urge anyone with actual information to come forth, we could use it now, as this is not a particularly strong case, just the strongest at the moment. The reason I've been silent with my suspects today is that we have already been gunning for them. Pennie and Gordon were high on my list, and I agree that the same case I made for Pennie above (loud so as to look like they were participating, then fading to avoid attention) could be made for Casey. I was suspicious of Becka while she was alive, but those suspicions have been proven ill-founded. BAWK! Cameron Crocidle seemed a little off to me for a short while, though for whatever reason I don't really suspect him as much anymore. And before anyone calls me on it, I just don't, no inside information, but he's faded from my scumdar for the time being. Finally, again just based on general feeling, Horace Horse seems to not say much useful while still popping in relatively frequently and voting with the crowd.

TWIST!! All of Heroica is a dream, and you're about to find out that nothing you've done so far matters. MWAHAHAHA. I'm probably just so used to apologizing to you guys for delays, that's all I know how to say anymore.

Boomingham's eyes widen when he sees the Naga. "What have you done there, chappo? Interesting catch. Ellaria, thanks for putting the scroll of our's to good work. Nyx, once Ellaria's hyped you up, mind taking care of that nasty crab while Atramor and I deal with the snake." Boomingham reaches into his pockets and extracts a mead, downing it's contents, before swinging his King of the Desert at the Naga from the front row. -
Sorry Quest 39ers, classes all morning, and because you're about to pick a flower, I think you know I have to edit the pictures for a flashback. I'll get it up this afternoon!

I fixed all the Cronk errors of the last round. You should not have dealt double damage as you're not encouraged, and I have removed the Bloody Pointy Stick. I don't believe you get back full ether, but if you'd like to run it by Sandsta, go ahead! I can't recall previous rulings. Thanks for being honest... even though it hurt you. Arthur, perhaps hoping to prove his worth as potential leader, smashes the Chaos Beast with a palpable hit, which Cronk follows up. Tesni takes a heavy smack from the back of the Beast's axe, which plows into her stomach and knocks her onto her behind. Sasha hacks at the Beast created by her former friend, and with one swift motion decapitates it. The Battle is Victorious. BAWK!! The other two admittedly died due to... a lynch and setting themselves on fire, but perhaps Booker would like to share again why he voted, and if he still feels that's a path worth still following. Who's calling me a pigeon! I'm a thorough-bred parrot!! Why aren't we discussing actually important issues? Why is hardly anyone saying anything?!
-
That's a good point; I can only guess therefore that a Hider wasn't Portia's role, but it's difficult in that case to explain why she died. What good is a hider if she's not in contact with anyone? If she dies when she finds scum... perhaps I just don't get the role. I think we should all start throwing out suspects. We need to get conversation going. I have examined the voting patterns yesterday and am intrigued to find that Gibson Goat was the only person to vote for Maurice Mouse. I doubt the cultists would kill someone who had voted, solely, for one of this members. Would that draw too much attention? Or perhaps they would do it as a double bluff? Thoughts? Why else might Gibson have been killed? The other votes that weren't for Ralphy all were directed at Pennie Pig. Of those who voted for her, only one of them remains alive. The other two admittedly died due to... a lynch and setting themselves on fire, but perhaps Booker would like to share again why he voted, and if he still feels that's a path worth still following. BAWK!

"I'm not good for much else, might as well heal her. Tesni, make sure you're making your choice because it's the smartest thing to do, not because you want to get a turn at stabbing the Chaos Beast. Make smart choices. When you're in a party, you've got others depending on you. That's one of the hardest things for green heroes to learn, and many fail to ever learn it."

The Gray Wizard tries to heal Alexis, but the Chaos Beast's roar distracts him. Tesni flies to Cronk's side and pours a drink down his throat. The valiant Orc comes up hitting hard, stabbing at the Chaos Beast with a powerful blow that causes black liquid to start to pour from its side. The Beast tries, numerous times, to harm the gals of the party, but it can't seem to land a hit, and stumbles around. Just a heads up, Endgame: you forgot to subtract 40 health from the spore dude for Round 2!

This is just gorgeous. The coloring is so impressive - I love the dark blue and pale orange colors, they compliment each other without looking cartoonish. The architecture is very nice too, the straight vertical lines of brick are very nice contrast with the curved windows. Add the fact that you also built an interior... Also: really digging the microscope design!

Bloody hell. Oh, sorry, I just repeated you. BAWK! Maybe you could give us a little more reaction, wifey? We need everyone to input everything possible. This town should be filled with talkers. Everyone, I think there are a number of things we need to consider. a) if you have ANY information on the deceased, please come forward. If anyone was in contact with them, we need to know what they were saying and doing that could have gotten them killed. b) perhaps I'm being a thick ol' parrot, but BAWK! I have no idea what Portia's action might be. I think it would benefit us to know what tool we lost. Blocker who died with her target? That seems a little strange, but possible? And while I don't usually encourage people announcing things publicly, I much prefer when they mail everyone individually, I've got to agree with my BOINGing pal that perhaps now would be the time to come forward with any useful information. We're not quite down to the wire... but we're pretty BAWK! close.
