  1. I actually disagree. Not that Flipz isn't doing a great job, because he is, but I doubt Haldor would forgive him now... if ever. Read any book about war. Literally, anyone where the author actually fought in the war. Anyone who endangered their life by being so little as careless- or worse, endangered the lives of their fellow soldiers- those people are NEVER forgiven. Ever. Arthur did just that in a very loud way. I agree with Scuba. I think this is a pinnacle point for Arthur. I love characters you can't hate due to pity. I pity Arthur, but he's got redeemable qualities too. Its exciting to see how he'll rise out of the ashes.
  2. I'll add my voice to the no-flash backs group. I don't like them. They are long, hard to read through, and don't really revel in the events of the game. I have seen some I've liked, and many I have though were not up to par with the other stuff that player had put out. Just my two cents. I forgot second characters had to be connected to our first... I'll have to think that out.
  3. It's who he is. He'd just keep borrowing. I think he lives very much in the now and future (the past being too painful for him) and so he doesn't really think of past debts, he's just sure he will eventually pay everyone back. He did get sort of screwed with his debt to Sorrow though, as Elphaba showed up offering the same thing much more affordably a few days later. He may haggle with you, Endgame... just a warning.
  4. Haman should be bleeding. "Riley, would you mind switching to attacking the Gremlin, and having Arthur attack Deathbringer instead? You've not got enough gold for him to run away with, should the worst happen." Boomingham stays in the back and raises his shield. "No one attack Haman, I'd like him to come to me." (I do nothing).
  5. "Riley, no need to risk your health, let me take on the big baddie." Boomingham grins and attacks Haman from the back row.
  6. Only Phil and Boomingham, and you've got to admit it fits their characters. Boomingham is actually more likely to attack from the back than Phil, because Boomingham does understand strategy at heart.
  7. Boomingham gets off the ground without saying a word, giving only a polite and thankful nod to the yeti before swinging his sword at Deathbringer from the front row.
  8. Great article once more. Just from my perspective: if you want to see some excellent backstory AND the speed at which it should be revealed, check out CMP, Scuba, and WBD. WBD defines his character superbly with basic backstory, but its all we need to understand who Skrall is. CMP too has nice backstory, but keeps it loose and doesn't shove it in anyone's faces. Scuba's Guts is EXTREMELY influenced by his past, even though we don't have the full picture yet. If you're looking for masters of backstory, check them out.
  9. Wonderful to see some more pictures!! I'm in the middle of reading it, interested to see what you have to say.
  10. Wow, I love this. Very simple, very calm, but still a great build. The ramp around the tower, along with the simple bridge are my favorite part. Everything looks very functional and temporary- a true work site! Great work!
  11. Gotta say, as far as using official parts goes, this guy looks pretty spot-on. I love the hat for him, very nice work.
  12. Well, it has been going on for a whole five days now. As we all know, once something goes on for five days, you can safely assume it is not a joke and is in fact a reality.
  13. Boomingham staggers and falls to the ground, leaking blood from an open wound running shoulder to waist, across his chest. "Well!? Get him up!" Barty howls, zipping around Sorrow's head, attempting to block his view.
  14. It's alright by me. Have Alex target the Gremlin and Sorrow keep up his attack.
  15. Vote: Li'l BoyWonder (TheBoyWonder) Happy launch! I miss my lunar home. You Earthlings are frustrating sometimes.
  16. I know Alexis, Cronk and Haldor have a long running relationship too. It's cool stuff.
  17. I was about to ask where Skrall was in Quest 28 when I was writing to Scorpiox about it. It's funny how that happens. I'd love to one day put together a list of who has been hosted by who the most, and also who has had the most interactions all together (ignoring the QM/PC label). I think that you and I have gotta be near the top of the list, or me and Pandora. Zepher/WBD: WBD has hosted Z twice, Z hosted WBD 2 1/2 times (Dastan), and they've quested together once: 5 1/2 encounters Zepher/Pandora: Quested together twice, Z's hosted Nyx twice: 4 encounters Anyone think they can beat that? Endgame and CJP have got a long history I know...
  18. I barely feel a need to respond to you. I think everyone else can see you're flailing wildly. Not because you're scum, I really do believe you're a mason, you're just a flailing mason. Clearly. You forgot you told me that? And you're right, trying to figure things out on my own is outrageous. I'll just lie over and die quietly, like townies without actions are supposed to do! BECAUSE you PUBLICLY asked all of us if we thought the two scum teams could be connected yet!! You said, verbatim: So I was answering you! You literally asked if they'd connected, and I said, yes: look what CMP posted yesterday... and then... that's scummy? Correct. But CMP did. In that quote I provided. This was the end of my first post before you started to randomly sling accusations. I said I was voting for TBW today. Is that not what we decided on yesterday? Trying to figure out what to do in following days is NOT distracting from the current issue, it IS planning ahead, and IS what we should be doing. I will respond to you no more. The scum are confusing us enough. I don't need to fight with an insane mason as well.
  19. No, but it ended before we got to feel any victory . I'm excited for whenever it appears again, Scuba!! I'm sure we'll all be there if we can. I've got Servus in an inn somewhere too! I've got to quest with Nerwen/Guts at some point (wonder if you two knew you'd turn into such a pair), and I really would like to quest with Hybros and Eric again as well. So many characters, so little time.
  20. Cleared-esque is a... wait for it... drum roll?... JOKE! The scumminess is based off of.... wait for it... the people who you've said are probably town! Look at you, yelling at me for following through with your own logic. Bravo! If you trust Rick, and you're a mason... and yes, I admit it, Kiel IS my own feelings, and I know I'm town- then.... TADA, everyone left is more likely to be scum than those people. Shocking, I know. The reliable source would be.... wait for it.... drum roll again?... YOU! You yourself told me he was tracked twice and that nothing happened!! Look at that! And, finally, a quote from CMP, your fellow mason, stating very clearly that he believes that Walter and Hinckley are in contact: Assuming Walter was converted, and Hinckley was killer, LIKE CMP STATED, then yes, the two teams are in contact. I wish so badly you had been scum this game. You would have been very easy to catch.
  21. Haldor and Boomingham haven't met in a long long time. It'd be nice. Quest 28 did have a great group. I only say Nyx, Atramor, Skrall and Boomingham because of the strange family scenario the four would build- Boomingham and Skrall, though enemies, respect each other and are father figures to Nyx and Atramor, who appear like siblings to each other. It's interesting to me also, in rereading this pre-58 conversation, that the heroes discussed responsibility for their actions. It's extremely intriguing after seeing Quest 58. Nerwen, Eric and Guts all believe in the Gods (telling Boomers off for not believing in them) but they all have slightly different takes on them (Nerwen thinks they guide, Eric and Guts think that they don't). Considering that, the events of Quest 58 are even more interesting, with the rift between those who take action into their own hands entirely (Guts/Eric) being the two that clash. They have similar beliefs, but very different conclusions... I don't know. Just digging the reading and the light it casts on later events.
  22. An Atramor Nyx Skrall Boomers quest would be interesting as well. Another thought- have Nur and Guts ever met? That'd be interesting! Rereading some old stuff to catch up on my character notes. When Boomingham invited Guts and Eric to sit at the table, I thought to myself "that's quite a faux pas" but it wasn't yet, because it was just PRE quest 58. It is still an interesting conversation to re-read. Characters changing opinions of each other are always intriguing.
  23. If there's a killer left and you continuously call TBW a recruiter, I'm sure they've united forces if they hadn't already. On top of that, you seem to think that TBW could be the "final recruiter" when in fact anyone he has converted would also be scum and able to reach out. ON TOP of that your whole case against Hinckley hinges on the fact that he knew Walter was scum as well... Anyway, it seems that both TBW and Walter are possible scum. Rick is apparently cleared town-wise, and Dave is likewise cleared-esque. I have it on good authority that Nightshroud doesn't have an action, at the very least... and Keil has pinged me as town since day one, so unless he was converted (and remember, only 6 townies COULD be converted) we're in the clear on that front. I personally know I'm town... which leaves likely scum as Walter, Peanuts, Endgame (been pinging me forever, and in private conversation Hinckley made a specific point of distancing himself from Endgame), TBW and Redblade (another person who has pinged me from the start). If it came down to it, I'd feel more comfortable with a TBW lynch than a Walter lynch. TBW has made a convoluted role claim. Walter has made a less ridiculous role claim, and has said things. TBW has done little to help and little to defend himself. Besides, you said Hinckley was trying to throw Walter under the bus- not something a Scum HAD to do at that point.
  24. I should be at 20 health, I was at 11 last round, gained 10 this round, then lost one. "Batboy... our batboy, that is, remedy yourself up and use another potion on Sancho if you would. Ranger, stop sitting around, fire on that Gremlin, he can't hurt you that badly if you hang back. Haman, you're still mine." Boomingham swings Scupperer from the front row.
