Controlling demons of the Void is one thing, and forging pacts with dragons is another, but who else has the prowess to do both?" "Oh, I've collected bits and bobs here and there over the years. Trust me, I have had time..." During my time at the Tower of Babel, I got to see the notorious sorcerers at their prime. Weaving their dark magics, they inadvertedly corrupted the lands of Babeleth forever, but back then they did not think of the consequences. I watched as a silent servant, and I learned. They named me Ambergaze, for my fiery, lidless eyes were always prying their sinister secrets. I probably would have stayed there much longer, if I had not heard the call of a certain book. It was the culmination of the sorcerers' powers, their greatest and most lethal invention. The book was called the Pandemonicon, and despite there being multiple copies of it, it had a mind of its own. I could not read it myself, but it promised me greatness should I deliver it away from the greedy and small-minded sorcerers, and into the hands of people with true power. Then, one fateful night I managed to escape the Tower with three copies of the Pandemonicon in a burlap sack. I ran along the red brick road that the sorcerers had built across Babeleth, knowing that I needed somewhere to hide. No, I needed to hide my true nature, for a Mindflayer would stick out like a sore thumb in any crowd. So, I left the road and diverged into the woods... I actually had a dream last night that the Castle-theme for 2016 was based on the Heroica board games, with the characters made in minifig size and all. I'm telling the truth here, honest! It would really be dreamy, at least for me...

Eric lead the party to the third tunnel from the left, while the Rakshasa took the first tunnel. The heroes moved through the tunnel with no means to search for traps (5 turns), and they did trip into one on the way (10 turns). They dug through a barricade with Boomingham's shovel (13 turns) and jumped over one hole on the ground (15 turns). Meanwhile, the Rakshasa moved equally quickly through their tunnel (7 turns), encountering no traps but having to destroy a total of three barricades with their shovels (16 turns). This meant that the heroes reached the treasure first! But the Beastmen's Lair was not called that for no reason, which the heroes soon found out as a shrill battlecry emerged from the tunnel ahead. Three bestial men with thick fur, sharp claws and snapping mandibles charged at the party with supernatural speed. The beastmen communicated in strange clickings of tongue. "We heard about a Scarlet Worm in Krumpknob, the rockling said it was the largest he had ever seen. It attacked the mythril depot, for some reason. Maybe the worm is the reason why the mines are drying up? Did you hear that Dark Dwarves raided the archives in the Glittering, yet? I was there, and saw everything. One of them got away with a detailed map of the underground. Maybe the Dark Dwarves stole the drill, too? We also encountered some hostile golems when we were passing Mycenia. Can you tell us how the whole issue with golems started?" Ellaria then dug into her purse. "How much for the tea?" OoC: Please, everyone, chime in if you have more information or clarifications. It's been such a long quest with so many nuances that I'm starting to forget many of the details. We need to get everything sorted out before venturing on, or we'll be running around the underground like headless chickens for the rest of our quest. -
Didn't you just spend half a year customizing Vindsval to your liking? I am a purist, anyway, so I can't offer you anything better than what you have already created. I'm not that good with brick-built creatures, honestly. Genius! I'll see what I can whip up, but I'm not making any promises to anyone. I still have two quests to hosts and one to participate in, as well.
