Pure epicness, Nuju! Apart from the abundance of minifigs by today's standards, I still believe that all of these sets could be actual LEGO products - even though TLG will probably never produce anything this original. I'm loving the biggest set, Siege of the Portal. The architecture and the play features are just splendid, but I feel like it could be even larger somehow. On the other hand, there's something bothering me about the color scheme of the Tower Raid set. I know it's supposed to be the undead base, but somehow I feel it would've been more impressive in white rather than black. The base hints of an ice fortress, but the tower itself is a mishmash of black, dark grey and brown with some white bones, and in my opinion it doesn't look cohesive enough. But that's just my two cents. I love your original theme, and I love that you took the time to show it to us. Thank you!

Belville Mafia: confirmation/discussion

Isn't he truly, my dear. You are so lucky to have me. *flashes a toothpaste smile* And just look at our two beautiful children. They will have glorious careers in modeling and pageant contests. -
Belville Mafia: confirmation/discussion

Sammy Spalkowa reporting! Glad to be married into such an upstanding family. *Sees a mirror* Hey, I'm quite the looker, aren't I? Irena must have a great taste in men. -
My latest acquisition was actually the blue-dressed Castle princess from way back in 1990's set 6081 King's Mountain Fortress. I bought her separately from Bricklink. I can't believe it took me this long to get her. Still waiting for the new Kingdoms sets to arrive here...

Haha, I didn't remember this was actually your second original LEGO theme, and that I commented on the first one as well. Lo and behold at what I said back then: Good thing you've learned your lesson from two years ago.

Tervetuloa! Kiva nähdä lisää suomalaisia täällä! Yay for the Finnish invasion!

Haha, you're right. It's like going to a battle on stilts. Sure, your steps are longer, but you're also easily taken down.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion
Sandy replied to eiker86's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I think you're forgetting the other half of the population again. I at least have seen both boys AND girls going through the minifig boxes at stores, and I'm sure any little girl would be thrilled to own a Geisha or a Cheerleader. If those had been out when I was a kid, I would've been excited too. -
Great! And very nice that the Great Protector hasn't been abducted by the bad guys, either. The ship looks awesome, almost steampunk-ish.

I really like these. You've managed in the hard job of making the MOCs look like actual sets. You have a well-thought out story behind the sets, and the whole theme has a distinct look and design to it. I really love the color scheme, especially the mix of tan, brown and sand green. Minifigs wise, there's quite a bit going on. There's humans, orcs of sorts, and skeletons all in one mix, and it looks like they all command their own dragons. While I personally love the ambiguity of this setting, TLG would probably differentiate each faction more. But that's not something you really need to do, as it would steer this more to the fantasy stereotypes. I hope you have a really big set coming up, and also something civilian based. And where the heck are the women?

Ihanaa, Leijonat, ihanaa! Even though I'm no fan of ice hockey, I'm still pleased to see a MOC that represents our country so well. Loving all the details in it, like the gloves and helmets thrown onto the ice. Very well thought out!

Hauskaa syntymäpäivää! There's some Finnish for you guys. You're both awesome, by the way!

Thank you! I've been told so before, too. Loving your culture shock comics. Ever seen the movie Lost In Translation, by the way?

I like the simplistic designs in each of them, they're all really descriptive. I just think a few of the colors are too garish for a medieval setting, namely the lime green in the cooper's sign, the lemon yellow in the cheese merchant's and the bright blue in the tanner's. Maybe try and tone them down a notch?

Looks wonderful, if a bit busy to make out the details properly. But that's why there's the close-ups. I love how "alien" you've made this creation look. It's basically your typical fantasy setting, but then again there's an original twist to it with the use of bright colors and strange creatures. The red walls make it look very menacing, just as all your Drow cities do. Thanks for sharing!

I should definitely check up Community forum more often. How can I have missed this great topic? Glad to see so many fellow deviantArtists here. I have had a dA profile for over four years now, composing mostly of Final Fantasy and Harry Potter artwork. Check it out if you wish: My link Here's a treat from the gallery, namely Lightning, the main protagonist in Final Fantasy XIII.

Damn you for taking all my questions. I too would love to play. I hosted a Paradisa Mafia, so it's only fair and just that I get to play in a Belville-themed game, right? Right?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Sandy replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Come on now, that list is so obviously fake it isn't even funny. Another evil scientist? A female racer and a female builder? An announcer (of what)? A snow shoveler?! Where's the variety, besides? That's just someone's personal wishlist, that's all. -
Immense! Even though the story hasn't developed much yet, this is an intriguing start and the wonderful MOCs just make the reading process all the more enjoyable. As a fellow storyteller I hope you keep up with this, there's just so much potential in it. Did you know we have a separate forum here for comics, by the way? It's a bit dead, at least on the comics part, but more story-based creations like this could really liven the place up.

Haha, don't take my word for it. I've just heard rumors...

I'm quite certain that we will see a Disney Princess theme next year. Let's just say that the stars are aligned in such a way... That doesn't mean City could be more involving to both genders, and introduce more civilian sets without any conflict in them. The Town House was a great step in that direction, and I think it sold well (haven't seen it in any stores anymore, unlike the big Farm set). Now bring some more houses, shops and a hospital into the theme as well, TLG!

Aww, thanks for the birthday wishes! And hope you had a great birthday too, Zuloo! I certainly had. I had some friends staying over the weekend and we had a blast, and I treated myself with a couple of the new Star Wars sets (more cute Ewoks, yay! )

I think I've repeated this ad nauseum already, but isn't it the whole point of LEGO that you can build anything out of the bricks yourself? Why spend years waiting for some theme to be re-released that might never come back when you could use that time (and money) to build a whole Western world just the way you like it. Let's face it, Klaus-Dieter, even if TLG would produce a Wild West theme in the future, you wouldn't be satisfied with it. I think you've grown such high expectations over those sets (even counting what they would cost!) that TLG couldn't possibly meet up with what you're expecting. So the obvious answer would be to stop waiting for a miracle and start building.

Cersei was often described in the books wearing a green dress, so maybe the new McGonagall's dark green outift would suit her? I'm assuming you're using the blonde long hair of Willie Scott's for her, since that's the perfect choice in my opinion.

As a fan of Firefly (the movie not so much) I must applaud you for making this fantastic creation and bringing the old gang back to life in LEGO form. It was a great shame such a brave and unique tv-series got cancelled all too soon...
