  1. "The Venomari... This would be the perfect time for them to strike." Verdra took the Poisoned Water from Sarge. "We shall look into this, so you go get your rest. Thank you for bringing Elessa back to us. The Sisters owe you." As the crowd dispersed, Ovelia approached the heroes. "You have done good, but now I worry about Periwinkle even more. That dumb girl has gotten herself lost in the big city, it seems. You haven't happened to see her, have you? I already asked the others earlier..."
  2. Sarge bottled himself some Poisoned Water (Causes poisoned by 1 to the target; consumable), then he and Eric searched the surroundings. There were many broken branches and rummaged shrubbery as well as footsteps that could have been anyones, but there was also traces of something slithering in the mud, like a large snake. They couldn't follow the traces far, though, as they lacked skills in doing so. The night fell upon them as they arrived to the Temple of Danab. The sisters were just pouring out of the temple, after a long session in the Conclave. Horrified gasps and screams ran through the crowd as Sarge carried Elessa's corpse to the front doors. Revered Aunt Verdra came out to see what the commotion was about, followed by her competitors Ovelia and Ulrica. "What is the meaning of this? Is that... Sister Elessa? May the Mother take her soul to her care... What happened to her?" Party at the Holy District: Sgt. 3. "So you are certain there are no other means to control Scarlet Worms besides your scrolls? Well, something is driving them mad, in any case..."
  4. Eric couldn't see any signs of injury on the beast. It had probably arrived after the murder. "Arrr... Arrrrooo..." The great beast stared at Eric with its sad, wizened eyes, but it did not seem to understand him.
  5. Of course I have, I just thought the blue eyes were off in comparison to the others. That head belongs to Grima Wormtongue from the LotR Orthanc Set.
  6. The Sister's throat had been slit, and it looked as though she had tried to crawl to the healing water but had barely not made it in time. Aside from the womanly clothes, all she had on were her jewelry, worth perhaps 100 gold in total when sold. Sarge's experiment managed to remove the poison, but the magical properties of the water were gone as well. It was just plain water. Party at the Kalakita Bog: Sgt. "Sorry, all I know that it's somewhere in the slums. I'm not buddy-buddy with the black market dealers like Eagle is, after all." "You could always roughhouse some of your filthy minions into telling, couldn't you, Bear?" "The boss should be back by evening, anyway."
  7. I don't have them intact, but sorted by pieces. I only keep the important Heroica NPCs intact.
  8. QM Note: The demon (ie. me) is controlling your turns unless you are physically attacked. Spells and undead do not count. Your turns are independent from the demon, and must be listed on the turn order.
  9. Almost 2000 whole minifigs, and some spare pieces... I'll make individual portraits of them, like the ones I've done for all deities. I just have to remove their faces for the sake of cohesiveness.
  10. "The boss went to meet with his sister. You know, that sister." The Green Baboon Knight winked. "Surprised you didn't bump into him at the slums." "Didn't you listen to him? Someone might be onto us! If that drunken bastard Scorpion has tattled on us, we're all screwed!" "Aww, chillax! We're top honchos, remember? We rule this city while the old lady's organizing tea parties up at the palace. Nobody's gonna believe the loser over us. Right, buddy?" The knight nudged Boomingham jokingly.
  11. Wow! They look so awesome I just had to build them!
  12. It was evening again when Eric led Sarge to the fountain in the bogs he had visited with Boomingham and Rex last night. But as soon as they arrived, Eric noticed that something was off. Instead of sparkling, the water of the fountain was sickly green and stinking. It also had a red streak on it, leading to the corpse of the Sister of Danab, Elessa, that they had encountered previously. The Enki from last night was present as well, wailing sorrowfully. "Arrrrooooo...." QM Note: But you already said you'd take the gold earlier... The two knights lifted their visors and gave a meaningful glance at each other. "You can say that again, buddy." "Been out all night keeping the riff-raff in check, have you?" The two knights appeared to have fallen for Boomingham's ruse.
  13. "'Tis a nice beard, truly. But so is that scroll. Where did you get it, and how much would you charge for it? I have an inkling someone else is using a scroll like that to control the worms."
  14. The Cobra Priest was pleased. "You found Golden Scorpion Venom! Splendid! It is quite rare, for the Golden Scorpions are at the brink of extinction. Have to collect it while one can, eh? Here you are, gentlemen, 500 gold as promised." Djuvali handed the gold to Sarge, who promptly split it even with Eric. "You've done good, but should you find more of the venoms I'm seeking, please deliver them to me. I'll be around. Venomari's blessings to you!" Subquest "Pick Your Poison" is successful! The heroes' influence has increased! "It isss a good time to turn religiousss, sssir. There hasss been a lot of zealotsss in town lately..." Vipersace said gloomily. Costs 333 gold. Prayer Beads (Makes the wearer permanently blessed; accessory.) Costs 150 gold. QM Note: Sorry, I mixed up Eric and Heckz, since you switched parties after that. So it is Sarge and Heckz who need to rest on Day Four, or become fatigued. "Don't pusssh it. You are famousss, but you are not the Almagesssta herssself." I was waiting for your signal to indicate when you wanted to pose as the Crimson Bear Knight. With the visor up, anyone can see who Boomingham is. Sorry I didn't make it clear... "Well, it isn't customary for me to prattle about my clients..." Despite her words, Miss Lavender looked as if she couldn't wait to get to prattle. "But since you are on official business of the Almagesta, I do have to inform you that two of the Royal Rainbow Knights have been seeing each other in secrecy. He wears green and she wears violet, except when they are not wearing anything, if you get what I mean. Scandalous, isn't it?" It seemed Boomingham had found a witness to the misdeeds of the two knights. Location: Marigold Hotel, The Palace District Time: Midday of the Fourth Day Influence: 10 Subquests:

Nerwen restores her ether for future rounds, but poor Monk Pretzel gets snatched into Farfarello's ethereal strings. "DANCE FOR ME, FAT FRIAR, DANCE! OH, WHY WON'T YOU DANCE?" One of the remaining puppets changes the atmosphere in the tunnel to electrified. Thormanil leaps towards the roof of the tunnel while Arx breathes ice onto the puppet. 18. "Frankly said, it was not Our idea to join this organization", Quintessa explained. "If We can confide in you, Jinnipher, We have an awkward habit of falling into a blind rage when aggravated. Our son decided it was best We aimed the rage towards monsters instead of lazy servants... And lousy cooks... And gossiping handmaids... And sloppy, potbellied guards... And that intolerable young gold-digger that made Jovis divorce his perfectly suitable if not a little withered first wife and marry her instead!!!" Quintessa's eyes suddenly turned white and she slammed the rolling pin hard into the counter, tipping over all the goblets and mugs on it. The saloon fell silent and everyone turned to stare at her. Scheherazade frowned, but not even she dared to say anything. Quintessa blinked, and regained her regal composure. "You must excuse Us, Jinnipher. Now what is it you wanted to ask about the elves of Mistaria? Oh, the forest elves keep the preserve themselves, we do not keep them there. Other races are forbidden to enter their woods unless invited. Many rare creature dwells there, so some foolhardy poachers try, but the survivors always run out with an arrow in their buttocks."
  19. "My apologies, I am Ellaria Arbour, from Eubric." Ellaria thought it best to keep her career as an alchemist a secret, knowing mages usually look down on potion-makers. "How long have you been living down here? And what exactly is your job description? I bet the Scarlet Worms have caused you trouble lately. Me and my companions just slew a couple of them. Nasty creatures..."
  20. Nothing lasts forever. We've been playing this game for four years already, and that's a hell of a long time for a forum-based game. Eventually people are going to move on to other things, but I'm extremely glad it hasn't happened yet.
  21. Like I've continuously said, it will start in August. There's still a week left of this month. Just a heads up, September is going to be a hectic one for me. First there's a trip to Singapore (and Legoland Malaysia, yay!) between 6th and 17th of Sept, then I'm going to move immediately after and start in a new workplace, and before I unpack all my LEGO it might be October already. I hope to wrap up at least one of my quests before that, but we'll have to see...
  22. No. I said it wouldn't be fair, and he kept nagging me about it, so I asked him to ask the other players if they felt it would be unfair. I have told Goliath what I think about his wishy-washy attitude towards his characters, but he's not really listening. There's not much else I can do about it.
  23. I'm not clairvoyant, that's just my estimation. This game will end when the main story is done, but all options are still up in the air for a sequel.
  24. QM Note: Can I get actions for Thormanil and Arx?
  25. "Very well, I shall wait around for him, then. Venomari's blessings to you, Sir Boomingham!" Boomingham and Rex continued inside the hotel, where the Star Elven hostess had a completely different attitude towards them this time around. "Greetings, gentlemen! I must apologize for my earlier rudeness, I failed to realize what upstanding citizens you were. How may I help you on this fine day? A room will cost 350 gold per person, including a delicious seven-course dinner." QM Note: Remember the Basilisk battle? That took place on Day Three. When Sarge thought about the black market dealers, the compass swirled back and forth. It seemed that they had dispersed around the city. What came to the Lang Suir, the compass spun wildly. Like Nemeshtar had said, the ghost would only appear at night. It was already afternoon when Eric and Sarge made it to the Palace District. Neither of them had rested for almost two days, so they could sense that fatigue would take over them soon. What would they do next? Party at the Palace District: Sgt.
