Aaaahhh!!! What is going on here?! People are dropping like flies, talking funny and suddenly we know who the killer is? But now I feel my nerves are taking over again, so I better get my daily dose... 1. Strawberry Dust Janie Besswax 2. Paint Thinner 3. Black Beauties Sassy Cooter 4. Opium 5. Bug Dust 6. Magic Beans Shinobu Shiroba 7. Uppers Sunny Day 8. Blue Bennies Dr. Bethany Bovary 9. Yellowjackets 10. Saline Infusion 11. Sugar Pill

Ellaria nods as she cluthes her Snake Staff harder. "We can do this... I can do this!" Ellaria attempts to heal Undead Nobleman again from the back row. Note: Ellaria should have 4/5 Ether now that she succeeded in healing the enemy.

Speaking of mistakes, if someone's intended target is defeated before they have a chance to strike, they should automatically target the next available monster. I believe you did not do this in Althior's case in our battle. That means some other monster should have damaged Althior instead. Don't worry, you'll surely get the hang of hosting battles in a few rounds. Also, if UsernameMDM does not show up in the quest soon, you can choose to either kick him out or keep him as a "silent companion" to aid the party like I did with Lego Pinocchio in Quest#1. Gawd I hate how some people sign into games, stealing a spot from someone else, and then do not bother to even play in them. DON'T DO THAT!

Oh wow, that looks absolutely fantastic! Funny how the box says "for table decoration only"... I hope it doesn't mean the pieces are glued together. Upon closer look, that printed bride's dress is actually just 1 brick tall, 2 studs wide and 3 studs deep. But that dress and the unique blonde hairpiece included makes me need that set badly.

Ellaria can't help but to scream in fear as she sees the skeleton pop up from the coffin. "Oh no, an undead monster! P-please listen, everyone! This creature cannot be harmed by normal attacks, only elemental ones and healing. This means we will have to rely on Althior's magic spells, my healing skills, potions and whatever bombs we have at hand. The spiders can of course be damaged by normal means. Oh, how I wish this torch would be fire-elemental..." Ellaria thanks Sylvania that she did some reading at the Heroica Hall's library before embarking on this quest. "Alright, I will attempt to heal Undead Nobleman from the back row", Ellaria decides.

The others are absolutely right: you can play any race you want regardless of their affiliation (except undead, unless you accept that the mechanics involved with undead monsters do not apply to you). The races are not bound by the statistics of their individuals. I am sure we will see "Elder Bugbears" of Level 17 or something like that later on. Also, the heroes are most likely to fight individual elves, dwarves and other so-called "good" races at some point, because good and evil are mostly subjective concepts to a point. To me, the best fantasy novels have been the ones that have accepted this truth about subjectivity, and I hope Heroica RPG will follow that truth as well.

"It is true that the original Veterans managed to defeat the Orc King and thus disperse the remaining orcish troops, but unfortunately it was too late for Ennon. The whole royal bloodline as well as most of the nobility were slain, the towns were ruined and all the farms had been devastated by the invading army. Nowadays the lands of Ennon only hold monsters and roguish orcs. The people who fled the country had little desire to return to their destroyed homeland, and now they are all taken by time anyway. It is a sad story, indeed. It is no wonder why orcs and goblins are so hated even to this day, even though I personally believe it is unjust to the current generations who had nothing to do with the invasion." ~Note: The first post has been updated with the most common Deities in Eubric. Currently it introduces only two, but more are on the way.~

Yes. And rogues are not exactly weak, but they are a "selfish" job class. They can get more money than others with their Mug, and they can attempt to flee and thus keep their remaining health in dire situations even if the others fall. The advanced job classes derived from rogue only add to this self-centeredness, as you will eventually see.

Ellaria gets an idea. "Miss Fenral, if you'll excuse me... But you are a ranger, so you can communicate with animals, correct? Couldn't you try to contact whatever lies in the left tunnel to give us a clue about what it is?" She crosses her fingers in hopes that it works.
-
"I admire your bravado, Mr. Val... uh, Tarn, but are you sure we are ready for something eerie right off the bat? I'd like to remain cautious and turn left, but it's up to the majority, I guess." Ellaria held the torch she was given higher and checked the surrounding walls for markings or other things of interest.

That's odd, Kelly. I was under the assumption that we consumed the medicine straight away, so the thief would've had to cut your stomach open to steal the pills from you. But Pandufus has a point. If you're telling us the truth, then the thievery is most likely to have happened because of what you said earlier. Eeeh! I hope nobody tries to steal the pills I swallowed! I don't want to wake up with my stomach sliced open!

I think these are fine minifigs, and any of them would fit into the world of Heroica RPG well. The Santa wizard is an especially fun idea. I have to ask, though, where are the ladies?
-
Remember that the scum are most likely working together. So if they happened to choose medicine that gave extra night actions (since I'm positive not all medicines do that), they can just rotate the person who goes for it. Also remember that it's first come first served. Even if somebody knows the effect of a medicine, it is not guaranteed he or she will be the first to take it each day. I personally will experiment as many medicines as I can during this ordeal, and when I find someone to trust, I will share their effects with them. AAAAHHH!! I almost forgot to scream in terror!!
-
Ellaria glanced at her new companions. "Oh my, this sounds awfully dangerous. B-but I will do my best to keep your healths up (if only I had my ether listed as well). As for the carrier of the torch, I believe it should be either me or Mage Althior. Althior's main weapon is his spells, which are of course effected by the power of the weapon he is holding, but still have the potential to cause double or even quadruple damage to certain enemies. On the other hand, I myself should propably concentrate on keeping you healthy rather than fight directly, so I can volunteer to hold the torch... if that is your wish, Mr. Valco." Ellaria takes a sudden interest at her own feet, not daring to look at her party members' faces.

Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum II: Fraulein Bloodbrick
Sandy replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I think that's the unfortunate side-effect of days not ending when a conviction is reached. Sure, in this case the lynchees will have time to defend themselves, but they can also choose to just break havoc like Pie did. CallMePie, if I were to host a Mafia game soon, I don't think I would let you play. I know you're frustrated, but you should still be experienced enough to know these are just games. If everyone acted like you when they are convicted, the games here would be rendered unplayable. You do realize that, don't you? -
You can only equip one weapon at a time, and that is the weapon that is written first on your inventory. Usually the strongest available weapon is equipped, but if situation rises where you would like to use another weapon instead, just mention it to the Quest Master. In the case of throwing weapons, it would be smartest to hold another weapon ready, since the throwing weapons need to be retrieved in order to use again (which means during battle, you'll lose a turn for that). They are automatically returned to you once the battle ends, though. No, you cannot do anything else on the turn you retrieve the throwing weapon. If you have thrown several throwing weapons at the enemies, though, you can retrieve them all on the same turn. I've added these questions in a slightly modified version to the FAQ on the first page.

*claps her hands* Sniff! So poetic! Almost like a haiku! AAaaaAARRGGHH!!! I just remembered I hate theater!

Oh just cut it out, Beast! How do you even know if Bell is a useless townie? But you're right, it doesn't matter what she is, all that matters is that you've been trying to confuse us all day long, and we will do much better without you, regardless of your alignment. AAAHHH!!! That wasn't panicking, mind you, that was me venting frustration. How can we make any long-term plans for our survival if we're all such basketcases?

A third person enters the Gallery after Ellaria. It's the black-clad female mage that Ellaria has seen around the hall quite a few times. "Well, I am impressed that you know my name, since I haven't really talked to anyone here that much yet. But going into town...? Burn it down...? I don't think I am that kind of a girl, sorry." Ellaria feels baffled by the attention she is getting from her new outfit, but also more... empowered, maybe?
-
Ellaria saw that two people had followed her into the Gallery: a peculiar small creature and an elven ranger. Ellaria tilted her head upon hearing the little creature's odd clicking voice. "N-no, thank you, I am perfectly well." She then turned her attention to the ranger. "Thank you... My old dress just did not seem to fit the quest I was just approved into. I am joining a party that is to venture into some cave. You wouldn't happen to be on that quest too, would you?"
-
I think Heng's theory about some of the medicines being one-off night actions, while some people still have their own night actions is accurate. With the Black Beast laying all his cards to the table so easily, it makes the decision on who to vote for that much easier. Vote: Carl "Black Beast" Pie (CallMePie) ... AAAAAAHHHH!!! I just voted for someone to get killed! How can a honorable police officer like me sink so low...
-
Ellaria spun around to see where the whistling sound had come from. When she saw a Metasimian winking at her, she did not know what else to do but blush again. Suddenly she felt as if she was wearing nothing at all. Quickly Ellaria retreated to the Gallery. There was usually very few people there, and such was the case this time as well. She turned her attention to the portraits of famed heroes who had served Heroica. At the very beginning of the gallery were paintings of the six founders. Staring at the portrait of the Veteran called Lady Luck, Ellaria assured herself that at least she wasn't wearing mere undergarments, unlike the legendary female rogue.
-
It took some time, but finally Ellaria found an outfit that she thought suited her. It was bolder and more outlandish than anything she had ever worn before, but that only made her feel more sure of herself. Ellaria gets +1 point to confidence. ( )

Because the sign-ups all but stopped coming, we've decided that cralegoboy's quest will begin asap., so the sign-ups for Quest#5 were prematurely closed. There are still three quests to sign into, with more coming up.
