Next to the stairs is a door that can be opened from the side that the heroes are. The corridor ends to an open door.

The monkey claps his hands and then turns around, giving Cinna a moonie. The monkey shrieks. "Oo-oo aa-aa!!! <No! My apples! Get your own!>"

The party makes its way down the corridor, past the pier and to the jail cell with the treasure in it. They try the brass key on the jail door, but it does not fit. Then they remember that the door next to it has a brass lock in it, and lo and behold, it opens! Beyond the door, they find a small room with a stone staircase winding up. Will the party return upstairs using these stairs?

There's a basket full of apples inside the monkey cage. When Cinna tries to snatch one between the bars, a jealous monkey jumps towards her and almost bites her hand.

"Whinny... <I'm neither. I consume what little I need to stay alive, other than that I find no joy in the act. They do not even feed me the apples that they give to the monkeys, just this dry oat. As if I was your common mule, can you believe that? Well, of course you can't. You are humans as well, you do not understand the suffering of other beings, let alone respect their independence.>"

Unless the confused character/enemy is without allies, they will not target themselves. For fairness sake, the QM should randomly roll dice/draw lots to see which ally gets attacked by the confused strike. Hope that's a clear enough solution.

The party returns to Marmaduc's menagerie. Like the other night, the ogre guard is sound asleep on the gate again. The heroes still have the key and they sneak into the park without a problem. The unicorn stirs from his sleep as the party approaches his pen. "Neigh! <Oh bother, it's you again. I told you, I am not going to come with you, and if you try to take me by force, I will neigh and whinny with all my power so that that lazy guard at the gate will wake up and crush you!>" The party must now figure out how to get the uncooperative unicorn to consume the Last Wish Powder. There's a water pail and a bucket filled with oat inside the pen.

Ellaria continues to attack Edward Finegold from the front row on both of her turns.

Nemeshtar just stares at the Metasimian in disbelief. "Who do you think I am, Father Time or something?" He then slams the door shut in front of the party, concluding the conversation. The party can go anywhere within the city tonight. If they travel to the Kalakita Bog, it will be dawn again.

Ellaria was extatic that the tide of the battle had turned to their favor again. She felt a rush of adrenaline in her veins as Ocven emerged and flew over the heroes to join the fray. She then turned her attention to the two thugs, attacking both of them consecutively from the front row.

Nemesthar hands Cinna the promised item which will enable them to turn the living unicorn undead, as requested by the recipe. The boy would never grow up to be a man, he would shun the daylight and always be filled with an insatiable hunger.
