  1. Results of Round One of the Clam Gang Battle: >Cinna vs. Mellow Crab - Critical Hit >Thothwick (Shuriken) vs. Shy Shell - Critical Hit Thormanil vs. Shy Shell - Extra Critical Hit >Bartholomew vs. Angry Crab - Aim Hoptet vs. Angry Crab - Hit The battle on the nocturne beach begins. Cinna hits the Mellow Crab for 23 damage. Thothwick throws his Shuriken at the Shy Shell and hits it for 19 damage. Thormanil swings his thunderous axes at the Shy Shell and deals a whopping 64 damage, leaving the shell hanging with a measly 1 point of health. Bartholomew aims well at the Angry Crab and manages to hit it for 5 damage. Hoptet follows with an attack that removes an additional 19 health from the red crab. All three enemies still remain. 2. Ellaria gasps in horror as she sees Alexis turn her arrow on Nur and knocking the mage out. "Lexie, what's the matter with you?! Oh, they've addled your mind... Let me remedy the situation, if you excuse the pun." Ellaria tosses a Remedy at Alexis to remove her confused state, and uses a Phoenix Essence on En Sabah Nur to bring their leader back to his senses.
  3. I love to hear all of your background stories for the characters you've created. I have to say that we've seen some amazing personalities come to life during this game, they make this experience that much deeper. Ellaria started as an example character for the rules, but when I decided that I'd want to join the game as a player as well, I just grabbed her and started molding her into a more personified character. Ellaria has already grown from a timid healer to a brave yet empathic warrior, and I have quite a few twists and turns planned out for her. I've already hinted of the tragedy that took place when she was exiled from the village she grew up in, and I don't think that her true origins are that hard to guess when you consider that she was found from Sylvania's sacred grove as an infant and has been hearing the goddess's voice ever since that. Please, keep on sharing your thoughts! I'd say yes, but only to their own inventory. Exchanging items mid-battle takes one turn from both players.
  4. Haha, take that you cultist s.o.b.s! Sorry to lose our Watcher, but at least it wasn't me one of us virgins. We still have a fighting chance at this, and if the cultists continue to make the same mistakes as Melaena and Mustafa did we should come on top in this ordeal in no time. I sense there's all sorts of private conversations being whispered in every corner, and I wish I could be a part of them, but with no such luck I'll just wait what you all have found out during the night.
  5. There's actually two separate sections of the yard and neither of them is connected to the house or each other as far as I can see. But isn't it only positive that the sections can be moved independently, without a fear that one of them breaks off and falls on the floor during transport?
  6. OoC: I believe Alexis should now be at 18/24 health, since she was standing in the back row when she was attacked. "Ah, another enemy! Now's our chance to get rid of Dmitri before he escapes. Let's focus most of our attacks on him, okay?" The hastened Ellaria attacks twice at Dmitri Finegold from the front row.
  7. Having already thought that she would never dig again, Cinna grabbed her shovel and walked to the waterline. She pushed the shovel to the moist sand, and immediately the sand started shifting. Another pair of giant crabs climbed up, this time accompanied by a large, turquoise seashell. The clam opened a bit, and Cinna caught a sparkle of a big black pearl. The party had no choice but to attack the "fruits of the sea". PREPARE FOR BATTLE! 8. "Now somehow I'm not surprised to find these two here", Ellaria said to her companions. "I guess after we're done with these two we should find this wizard they were talking about and ask just what exactly brought us here on this island. But now, we have a job to finish!" Ellaria consumes some Smelling Salts to gain a hastened effect, and then uses her Scroll of Blindess on Dmitri Finegold.
  9. OoC: Actually, you can talk. The effect only seals magical abilities and prevents the use of ether. And you certainly can post the battle order, it would help me a lot if I didn't have to make decisions for you.
  10. The sun disappears behind the horizon, and it becomes dark. The party has spent the entire day on the beach digging and fighting. ~THIRD NIGHT IN SALMANDA~ Ranger Docken tries to contact any clams that might be lurking. At first he hears nothing, but then catches a very quiet voice coming from somewhere among the waves. "<Woohooooo!!! It's time for another midnight surfing session! Come on and join me, all you crabby fellas! I might be shy during the day, but at night I'm a real jammer clam!>" The tide comes rushing on the beach, and covers the holes nearest to the waterline with sand (D-row). Will the party dig there or return to the city?
  11. I guess their popularity stems from rogues being the only "badass" job class by default (which isn't to say that there couldn't be badass characters in other classes as well). People who want to test out their "naughty side" are probably most drawn to the rogue class. But what do I know, I'm playing a "sissy" cleric.
  12. Good catch, I've fixed it now. I must've have my eyes crossed or something when I compiled the list...
  13. Maybe that's because most of the Rangers are such active players. The Knights on the other hand may have the most players on their ranks, but they also include most of the inactive players (especially those who haven't played in a single quest yet). Until Dannylonglegs announces that Sylph is of either gender, I will count him/her/it as gender-neutral. This is a fantasy world we're playing in, I don't think there should be anything disturbing or odd about a character without a gender... What's the other error, by the way?
  14. STATISTICS TIME!!! To my calculations, we currently have 72 players who have signed up for this game, out of which only 14 have not participated in a single quest yet (but are highly encouraged to do so!). Here's some statistics as to how those 72 people are didived. BY CHARACTER'S GENDER: Male: 57 Female: 14 Unknown: 1 BY JOB CLASS: BARBARIANS: Alf Gregory Eric Fenimor Vish Gorg Grush Shadina Impwrath Spag Bitterstalk Tarn Valco Tesni Hightribe Thormanil Nihai Xander Unth'or ---------- Total: 11 Male: 9 Female: 2 Unknown: 0 CLERICS: Barur Tormek Ellaria Arbour Haldor Skovgaard Maurice Ratibor Nerwen Calmcacil Rufindel Galadhras Sylph Solanum Tomas ---------- Total: 8 Male: 5 Female: 2 Unknown: 1 KNIGHTS: Ser Adelric Alexandre le Chevalier Sir Christopher Daggerfall Cronk Cynthia "Purple" Dragonwing Dinli of the Lonely Mountain Sir Gladius Stoat Sir Glorfindel Hoke Ablesword Lady Kara Linette Lord Kenneth Valise Knifk Lord Lawrence Boomingham Leo Aragon Maximus Glacuis Sir Sven Thrain Longbeard ---------- Total: 17 Male: 15 Female: 2 Unknown: 0 MAGES: Aberforth Swindle Ad-Hoh Althior Emorith Amorith Marvelo Arasmyth RuGard Arthur Justus Regulus VII Bob Cinna the Dark En Sabah Nur Namyrra Uq Nyx Sarick Lanse ---------- Total: 12 Male: 9 Female: 3 Unknown: 0 RANGERS: Alexis Fenral Bartholomew Docken Benji Carvenhall D'Eficcio Delfino Elgar Gligin Erdathcath Madilinas Keziah Blyth Skrall Trotter William Harkenshire ---------- Total: 10 Male: 7 Female: 3 Unknown: 0 ROGUES: Atramor Gibbin Dak Shadeaux De'kra Dyric Rone Galen Woodward Guts Holla Henry Sicariul Hybros Isabella del Toboso Jess Islanti Owen Belmont Ruitath Jast Sancho Praudfout Thothwick ---------- Total: 14 Male: 12 Female: 2 Unknown: 0 BY NAME (beginning with): A: 11 B: 4 C: 4 D: 5 E: 5 F: 1 G: 6 H: 4 I: 1 J: 1 K: 4 L: 2 M: 2 N: 3 O: 1 P: 0 Q: 0 R: 2 S: 7 T: 7 U: 0 V: 0 W: 1 X: 1 Y: 0 Z: 0 As can be seen from these statistics, Clerics and Rangers are the most underrepresented classes, and there's over four times as many male characters than there are females, although the females are spread quite equally among the job classes. Also, very few of the character names begin with a letter from the last quarter of the alphabets. Just something to consider for any new players signing in who want to create a character that stands out... But all in all, we've got an impressive amount of players with a whole plethora of interesting and unique characters, and the only way is up from here.
  15. Wohoo, congratulations everyone! There's really a whole lot of deserved awards on this list, and I'm proud to have two of the Mafia School graduates from my own class getting the "Most Promising n00b" award.
  16. Results of Round Four of the Zombie & Friends Battle: Hybros uses a Remedy on Maurice Eric vs. Pirate Zombie - Special Damage Christopher vs. Pirate Sniper - Miss >Ad-Hoh (Darkness) vs. Pirate Zombie - Spell >Erdathcath vs. Pirate Sniper - Hit Maurice vs. Pirate Zombie - Special Guard (Fail) At the start of the round Hybros removes all negative effects from Maurice with a remedy. But just a second after that the Pirate Zombie infects Eric in turn. Christopher tries to hit the sniper, but she leaps back with great agility. Ad-Hoh's spell of darkness hits the zombie for 17 damage. Erdathcath takes out the sniper with a single arrow. The unlucky Maurice gets infected again by the zombie. Both Maurice and Eric suffer the loss of health due to their poisoning. Only one enemy remains, but since it is a tough one, the rest of the battle will not be played automatically. Any enemy not targeted will get a Free Hit on the party after everyone have acted.
  17. Of course, why wouldn't it? It would actually be good if all knights and other people with SP would put a "Defense" stat on their character profile to easily show the QMs how much damage they can absorb. Mind you that this stat does NOT grow with a level up.
  18. Ellaria smiles at her friend. "I have my scrolls, so you can keep the flute, Lexie. Although Namyrra and Nur can also wield it."
  19. Of course. Here's the list one more time, but I'll post it in the Library soon as well. The Hinckwells >< The Shadeaux The Ziegfrieds >< The Guild of Invision The Bonapartes >< The Ji Pei The Wolfgang >< (Town Watch)
  20. OoC: You should have 16/16 ether, not just one. The heroes with no ether get +1 ether per level when changing into a class that can use it. The Copper Fox trains Lord Boomingham in the arts of meditation, healing and being in contact with the spiritual realm. It is not easy due to Boomingham's lack of faith, but it's the sheer will of the man to become a Paladin that finally lets him learn the needed skills. Out of a sudden an angelic apparition, albeit a very small one, appears on Lord Boomingham's right shoulder. "Gah!" the minuscule angel squeaks in a high-pitched voice. "I'm stuck with this fellow here? Mr. Mumbo-Jumbo, eh? Let me teach you a thing or two about the Light, deal? And don't let my size fool you, I'm actually an impressive sight in the holy realm. My size will grow in proportion to your faith, so let's work on it so you can see me in all my glory." The Copper Fox just grins at the tiny angel's lecture. "Good luck with your new companion, Lawrence. You're going to need it." The Veteran watches as Boomingham marches out of the Training Room, flicking the angel off of his shoulder.
  21. It's never a good sign when everyone seems to band on one person, but on the other hand the case against Mustafa seems to be so strong that the cultists would be fools to try to steer the attention away from him now. We'll just have to see where this goes... Vote: Mustafa Nidia (Brickdoctor)
  22. After the battle, Ellaria feels stronger than ever. It's as if she has reached some sort of invisible milestone in her career of a hero. "Gosh, I feel so invigorated! Now all I've got to do is to get rid of these wounds..." Ellaria drinks her last remaining potion to restore herself to full health (and to lighten her bag that's chock-full of bottles, vials and tools of every kind).
  23. Results of Round Three of the Zombie & Friends Battle: Hybros vs. Pirate Sniper - Shield (Mug) Eric (Twin Axe) vs. Pirate Ruffian - Extra Critical Hit Christopher vs. Peglegged Pirate - Critical Hit >Ad-Hoh (Darkness) vs. Pirate Zombie - Great Spell >Erdathcath vs. Peglegged Pirate Pirate Sniper - Special Damage Maurice vs. Pirate Zombie - Special Guard (Fail) The party is protected by Christopher's Sentinel-stance for this round. Hybros mugs the Pirate Sniper for 42 damage, stealing 42 gold at the same time. Eric deals a massive hit with the Drengazuli Grom'az to the Pirate Ruffian and the Peglegged Pirate, shaving 29 health from both of the enemies and thus slaying the Ruffian. Christopher finishes the Peglegged Pirate off, while Ad-Hoh casts a whirling orb of darkness onto the Pirate Zombie, causing 44 damage to it because of the zombie's weakness to the element. The Pirate Sniper sends another one of her explosive bolts at the party, but the sentinel aura brushes them off. The Pirate Zombie manages to infect Maurice, causing poisoned-, blinded- and sealed-effects on the cleric. The poison saps away one health from Maurice. Two enemies remain. Enemies: Pirate Sniper Type: Humanoid Level: 6 Health: 2/61 Special: Explosive Bolt – Causes 3 damage to all opponents regardless of their row. 24. Roger certainly hasn't contacted me. I was kinda hoping he would, so that I'd have at least one person believing I'm a virgin for real...
  25. I don't feel like getting picked by you over everything I say, so please shut up.
