Please stop calling me names. You have no right to speak to me that way, as much as you suspect me. I have done nothing to deserve this sort of treatment. If you want to lynch me, can't you at least be courteous about it?
-
I can answer you myself, that's if I can restrain from being disgusted by the way you talk about me. Seriously, what have I ever done to you to make you loathe me so? Did I perhaps vote for your cultist buddy? My "strategy" was to get the voting going, since everyone was just twisting their hands, and see the reactions that my new approach to voting would cause. And sure enough, it got reactions. I am now pretty convinced that Ophelia Balls is indeed innocent, for taking my bait. Would a cultist really make the first vote, seeing as it would draw attention to them? I don't think so. I was going to approach this situation with a long-term goal of rousing reactions out of people and determining where their allegiances lie (since I have no nocturnal ability myself), but now that I'm in the eye of the storm myself I have no choice but to throw away all caution and reveal my virginity. If you don't lynch me now, I'm certainly going to be dead in a few nights, so thanks a bunch.

"I'm more resilient to negative effects, so I shall attack Criminal Charmer from the front row. Don't you try to put your spell on me, Miss!"
-
Congratulations, you just outed another Virgin. I know that's probably not going to change my fate, but at least you will sacrifice me with that itching feeling of "what if she was telling the truth". Seriously, you will not gain anything by lynching me. Sure, I voted for Mehmet, but I thought I gave perfectly reasonable excuse for that. Now does nobody else think it's odd that there are so many people willing to defend Mehmet, even to the point of diverting all votes on me? And all this talk about "she's crazy/illogical/harmful to our cause" is really baffling. I'm not the one who kept changing their vote yesterday, I'm not the one who got a "cultist" in an investigation, I'm not the one everyone seems to be trusting over the limits of caution, I'm not the one holding all the reins in my hand! I'm really not the one you all should be voting for. Do you honestly see me as a cultist? Has anyone rushed to my defense? I haven't even talked privately with anyone except Mehmet and Johnson Cox, both very briefly. And I have to deny that I was around during the end of yesterday. [i logged on very briefly in the morning before I rushed to work, at which stage the voting for Father Tomato had not even started yet. I live in a different time zone from most of you, remember?] There's nothing I could've done to contribute, anyway, since I had no information to share. You're making a very grave mistake here, and you're all playing to the cultists' bag. This makes me even more convinced that Mehmet is really a cultist. He's the one who's being defended here.

Heroica RPG - Quest#15: Hoisting Down the Jolly Roger

OoC: The undead can be damaged by elemental attacks and healing, so all spells, bombs and weapons with elemental affinity will work. -
What a great idea! I'd love to participate in this as well. I own almost all the Harry Potter sets, after all. I am a Ravenclaw and I'd like to build the Transfiguration classroom. I really don't understand the rule about bley walls, since these creations will never be combined anyway, and in my opinion tan and bley mix well together. Also, the room height should be left at the creator's discretion. For example, the owlery shouldn't be the same height as the dungeons. These are just some suggestions to allow more creative liberties, so please consider revising the rules, JackJonespaw. Thanks for putting this together, I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Ugh, I'm so done dealing with you. You're just trying to twist my words. Go ahead, vote for me if you really think I'm that scummy. It will at least show the rest of the innocents not to trust you tomorrow. ... As was the conclusion I came in my musings. Really, people, don't you even listen to what I'm trying say? I put Fitzwilliam's name up for contemplation because we only have his word about that investigation result. I never denied that he could've been lied to, but I also did not want to cross out the option that he's been lying to us. And the only way to even get close to finding that out is to lynch Mehmet. Have I spelled my thoughts out clear enough for all of you now?
-
Sorry, but I'm not the one with a condemning investigation on my back here... People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, you know? As I said, to me it was a choice between you and Fitzwilliam, since no other names had been put on the table today. I was merely weighing out these two options, of course there's always a chance that another name springs up today to complicate matters. I ask that we keep our heads clear, though, and not let a very likely cultist slip from between our fingers just because he talks alot.
-
OoC: Sorry, I seem to have made an error myself as well by letting Cinna dig from C4. Only dark tan tiles with the stud visible could be digged. There's nothing in the debris or in the water to be found, sorry. I'm saying this to keep the quest moving.
-
Ellaria was sorry that her little plot did not work. Well, it had been a slim chance that the thugs would've carried her into their base anyway. When the pirates drew their weapons, Ellaria sprung up on her feet as her companions rushed to her aid. "Sorry guys, I don't think I need your help anyway", she said to the growling pirates, pointing her wand at them. "Sounds like a great idea, Nam! I will use my Scroll of Blindness on Criminal Thug A from the back row."
-
I don't really see that we have much of an option here, at least not with the information we got... Either we lynch Mehmet for the investigation result or Mr. Fitzwilliam for giving us the result. No other name has been put out in the table, if we exclude all those "gut feelings" from yesterday. I still cannot believe 13 of us would be spilling their beans to Mehmet in just a day and a half, and I still insist that Mehmet tried to fish out my role as well - which is something he should not have done if he was sincerely on the innocent's side. Feeding Mehmet to the statue would be the safer bet, since if he turns out to be innocent we'd know that Patrick Fitzwilliam was either lying or being lied to. Whereas if we let Mehmet live and condemn Fitzwilliam instead, we are risking to lose another virgin, and we'd still be none the wiser as to what comes to Mehmet's allignment. I really have trouble trusting Mehmet, he just seems too keen on controlling us and being the information-feeder. I just don't see him sincerely working for the innocents, especially not after the last-minute stunt he pulled yesterday. That's why I will vote: Mehmet Attabar (Hinckley). If you turn up to be innocent, I apologize for mistrusting you, and hope that you have trusted the right people in passing on whatever information was given to you.
-
I've read the books and loved them to bits, but no, those names were not derived from the series. In fact, many fantasy novels (and I've read a lot of them) feature the concept of cities independent from any nation. And I gave teh sea surrounding the Free Islands that name because I wanted to give an impression of a clear-watered sea near the tropic, not a raging deep ocean.
-
It looks like my suspicions were right. If this is true, most of the roles in Mehmet's list can be made up. I just can't believe that many people actually trusted him... But if we can eliminate Mehmet now, we can still gain an upper hand over the cultists.
-
I'm also extremely worried that if Mehmet truly has all that information in his pocket, the cultists will want to convert him instead of killing him, if they have that ability. Unlike Mehmet himself, I do not see that as an impossible option. He could very well continue feeding us information gotten from people, but at the same time cultists would have a list of virgins that they could just pluck out one by one. What adds my worry is that Mehmet tried to persuade me to reveal what kind of an innocent I am just recently, at which point I just left the discussion. I really do not like the idea of a single player holding all the cards, and if I look at Mehmet's behaviour from these past two days, I can't help but to notice aggressiveness that hints he might be a cultist. This is just me keeping all the options open, though. But people, please consider that before telling Mehmet anything.

"Whoops, sorry", Ellaria apologizes from the party. Her staff really makes it hard for her to hide. "You guys stay hidden, I'll see what I can find out", she whispers to the others, then walks into the clearing. Ellaria fakes a limp and distorts her face into an expression of agony and distress. "Oh, I'm so relieved to find people here!" she exclaims to the trio. "I've been wandering here for ages without a soul in sight. All sorts of monsters have attacked me, and I think I broke my leg. I'm drained out of ether to even heal myself anymore... P-please, help me..." She then falls to her knees in front of the group. "My ship was attacked by pirates, and then it got caught in an unnatural storm. All my companions and the ship's crew... they drowned... I'm the only one left. Our quest to find the Finegold brothers failed in the most horrible way... Please, I need a potion or something..." Ellaria had an inkling that these three were working for the brothers, so she wanted to fool them into thinking that the magic storm had successfully gotten rid of the heroes chasing after them. Now it all depended on what the three thugs would do to her...

Heroica RPG - Quest#15: Hoisting Down the Jolly Roger

OoC: Here's the area you've covered downstairs. The crossed off enemies are the ones that you have defeated. -
Welcome to the game on my behalf as well, Dwellington! You're the first new player this year. Here's your character's avatar in the correct size (100x100 pixels): As an interesting phenomenon, Aberforth now joins Ad-Hoh, Althior, Amorith, Arasmyth and Arthur in the long line of mages with names beginning with an "a". Seriously, that's half of all the mages in this game!

The Curse of IMHOTEP - Confirmation & Discussion
Sandy replied to Rufus's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
But I like pretty boys... -
Also, lynching "Superman" even if he was speaking the truth is better than lynching a person who turns out to be a virgin. Although of course we must prioritize on the people we know to be cultists first. So raise your hand if you belong to a cult! Anyone?

OoC: I can tell you how to open them: with a key!!! I've told you that many times already! -
Forgot to send a night action that can confirm a virgin? I call bs, let's nail the faux man of steel. God (in this case IMHOTEP) knows Father Tomato was lynched for much less than that.... Besides, even if Superman is telling the truth, we won't be losing much since he'll never remember to use the power he's been given. I urge everyone to remember that Mehmet's list is compiled of CLAIMS, any or all of the roles can be a lie. We have to take every option into account.

The bronze lock turns out to be similar to the brass one the party encountered downstairs. It is evidently designed by the Tritech scientists, and it cannot be picked. As Hybros examines the door, he hears the booms of cannons from the other side. The battle against the Bonaparte fleet is still on. -
Bartholomew splashes in the water. He finds all sorts of seashells, but none of them carry a black pearl inside. If the party returns to the city now, it will be night.
