  1. A very nice display, though I have never liked the way lego displays incorporate so many styles (from so any builders), it is nice to learn from, but I think the finished product would be better if one person were given all the bricks ; ) God Bless, Nathan
  2. Would you consider that a good or bad comment on the MOC? God Bless, Nathan
  3. Thanks for the links Bruce! Good to see your amazing wealth of knowledge covers such far reaches of the online lego world... ;-) God Bless, Nathan
  4. It's called the MISC section ;-) God Bless, Nathan
  5. To be fair* (*As in the irish expression) The whole idea of a discussion forum is that everyone can read (and benefit from) your responces, not merely the person who initiated the conversation. If you were emailing back and forth no reply would be a problem, but in a forum just consider their first post a conversation starter... Also I think not replying to new member's posts has a sort of elitist, unwelcoming, non-EB feel to it... God Bless, Nathan
  6. Very nice idea! God Bless, Nathan
  7. Thanks my helpful talk show host friend X-D (the line above made me think of your title...) I have always wanted to build something on that baseplate (couldn't bring myself to buy the overpriced coastguard HQ with bley it came in though). Mabe a BL order could solve this... Back to the MOC: I like the yellow (and normally I don't). The flag and light are nice and the height is nicely scaled... God Bless, Nathan
  8. I hadn't thought about that(nor have I started editing pics...) God Bless, Nathan
  9. I've had packages arrive long before the 76 week mark... maybe I've just been fortunate X-D God Bless, Nathan
  10. Thanks for posting this over here! God Bless, Nathan
  11. There aren't many people who like the bat helmates... especially in quantity X-D God Bless, Nathan
  12. A trapper (and small river/scenery) would be a nice little set, and provide skins for the trading post. After that a cattle drive and ranch would be cool... God Bless, Nathan
  13. I was reading the spongebob MOC topic (here) when I saw this amazing MOC in the same gallery: Beautiful! God Bless, Nathan
  14. The old magazines, definately attracted me towards one of each set (and across theme boundaries). When I looked at the 97 catalogue I also knew something was gone... As to set designers, I can't think of an example off hand but I have often felt that during the early 90s you could pick up a set in one theme and be reminded so strongly of another set in another theme, that they were done by the same person, just a personal thought... God Bless, Nathan
  15. Now where is the grave robber, several entrance tunnels, remains of lifted loot etc? Good MOC! God Bless, Nathan
  16. Good to see you MOCing! I am not an islanders fan so I am not an expert critic, but this seems quite nice for a quick mod. I like the framing effect the statues create, as if you were 'in' a courtroom. Very nice! God Bless, Nathan
  17. This year also coincided with the first line produced entirely by the new generation of the Lego family (from memory). Nathan
  18. If not that is one big rat! X-D . Thanks for posting this... God Bless, Nathan
  19. I like the concept of a fort desserted and than retaken as an epire expands and falls back (ala Rome in Britain). Very nice! God Bless, Nathan
  20. It says at the time they were avoided like the plague, but now that our standards hae been lowered by KK2 we just want old grey... X-D God Bless, Nathan
  21. Well we won't hold that against you... as long as you try a castle within 6 months X-D ! Welcome and God Bless, Nathan
  22. Hey and welcome, feel free to try MOCing with Lego as well... ;-) X-D God Bless, Nathan
  23. Thanks for the clarification... Welcome and God Bless, Nathan
  24. It also has no instantly recognizable 'good' or 'neutral' faction, merely two factions both pitched as 'bad' fighting each other... God Bless, Nathan
  25. The subtheme which not only broke castle, but also Lego as well. It is no wonder they started to lose money from this poin t on... This was the year I began to seriously question what was worth buying instead of wanting one of everything... Nathan
