Request Pirate Lego - what future sets would you like?

Sorry about that, wasn't thinking, put this revised version up. God Bless, Nathan -
Dust never hurt anyone, I can still type while I cough :) I think you did a good job on maintaining a good look on a short ship model. God Bless, Nathan

Well... oh wait he didn't ask me, oh well.... I would buy the forestem and other non-grey intensive sets and that would be it. Hopefully the price of old castle sets would be driven down ;-). I just don't like the colour... God Bless, Nathan

Lego have never touched specific countries (Since the very old style flags) and I doubt they ever will again. Even the soldiers we have are generic (not the french/british debate). History can be very subjective and controversial, so probably doesn't make the best 'toy'. Beside the idealized lego history of nice pirates, smiling peasants in castles, etc has worked very well... If you can't get the email sorted soon, I could post this up for you... God Bless, Nathan -
It was built approximately 5 years ago... and bits and pieces have appeared in many of my MOCs since then, though that was the last specifically western MOC. Maybe someday I'll return to the theme. (I have some more pressing plans ;-) ). God Bless, Nathan

Thanks much Norrington! God Bless, Nathan

I've long been a big fan of this set! I like the structure it builds (and the reverse invasion concept). I remember getting this as a gift and having no toys since I had just moved, it served as a self contained pirate world. Great fun, a great build, and nice pieces, one of my favs... God Bless, Nathan

The kick start would be for the beginning of the new domain name... Lugnet... But more commonly I have always used classic to refer to a period of lego as a whole (80s through debatable date in the 90s, probably 96 for me) rather than just one theme. Most of the pirate line falls within this. Pirate is also one of the 'classic' lego themes (castle, pirate, space, and town), as opposed to say adventurers... God Bless, Nathan

I am assuming pirate-lego is not going to work, and then advocating classic-pirate as the next best, I know I only occasionally darken space's door, but when I couldn't find the shipyard and other sites I did type classic-space... I also agree that all other marketing is more important, with you all the way on that, a comp would be a good kick start btw. And I don't see it as copying, just grouping, I like to see the lego community integrated and cross fertilizing rather than scattered. If only from the selfish perspective of people like me who enjoy one theme the most but still like to contribute to others... God Bless, Nathan Oh and re classic, I have heard the term used of pirates, it just encompasses the majority of the theme...

I agree completely about the need for outside recruitment... I was only referring to inter community ease. Keeping everything similar makes life easier, I probably couldn't find the space site (in the time I'm willing to spend looking) if it wasn't classic-space... God Bless, Nathan

I was only referring to bringing out the pirate fans in the AFOL loop.. God Bless, Nathan
