  1. Well he does have a huge nose. It probably looks bigger in 3D.
  2. Simpson's House because I want it to be more accurate but don't think I have the parts to do it. That wall color... not many bricks in my collection of that.
  3. You know I've still literally never gotten a set with a missing piece. At this point in my life I can safely say my collection is in no way small (but I haven't opened everything). Maybe I'm just lucky. I seem to only get extra pieces that I'm not supposed to get like extra capes in the same cape holder thingy.
  4. It was purposefully left vague.
  5. Well there's your problem. You listened to a GAMESTOP employee. They're basically told to oversell sell sell everything or they get few hours. I don't blame them. The whole company is pretty ethically void.
  6. Milhouse looks like Milhouse. Who'd have thunk?!
  7. 9/10 I guess. I'm usually better at nitpicking but I can only really think of one thing to nitpick about this movie.
  8. Yeah their choices of sets has been puzzling. I have no idea what led them to those directions but they seem to be against all common sense. No Balrog set which would have been based off one of the most memorable scenes. We get a Mouth of Sauron set which is incredibly unrecognizable since it's only in the extended editions which most people haven't seen. No Lich King or his flying d00ds in Minas Tirith. We get a pirate boat seen for all of 5 seconds in the non-extended editions and ghosts that are clearly badly designed minifigures (but what could they do...). It just seems like Lego just messed up. Poor choices IMO. Also aiming it at kids that much and ignoring a lot of the AFOLs for a set of movies 10 years old? Wat? You can't do that and expect massive kid sales! The movies are popular but they're not Star Wars. Make them more AFOL friendly and I bet they could have sold more. I feel like Lego just made a lot of mistakes with this theme which sadly killed it.
  9. At this point I'd bet that Avengers 2 won't be as good as 1. Too many characters. They're going to X-Men 3 it (Days of Future Past is too).
  10. Just in case we wanted another terrible movie. Stop watching these things please...
  11. Yeah, there's no way they'll accept this since it's about killing a kid. You don't need to be the "child police" to see that ;p. Might as well have a "murder of the younglings set" because it doesn't stand a chance either. It's too bad too because the set is pretty neat looking.
  12. After seeing the terribleness of the GotGish thing at the end of Thor maybe they held it back because the movie sucks just as bad as that did? ;p
  13. Oh yeah I brain farted. Oh well. :)
  14. The quick answer is "no".
  15. We'll get another version of each of the Simpsons. Magie, Lisa, Bart, Homer, Marge. Then another version of Flanders. That leaves 6 for the minifigure line. I don't know if they've been revealed but here's my guess: Itchy Scratchy Moe Apu Crusty Wiggum After that honestly I don't think the Simpsons line will sell well enough to warrant any more. Just my guess. They've got AFOLs but I'm highly doubting the kids will be into it in enough numbers. Also minifigure lines with specific characters do not warrant excessive buying since nobody needs an army of any of those or even more than just one.
  16. In order! 1) ESB 2) ANH 3) RotJ Used to be number 2 but in my older years I appreciate ANH more and fine the "twist" of Leia being Luke's sister kind of a lame attempt to duplicate the Darth Vader being his father from ESB. I also don't really like Ewoks in my older age. Then the prequels fall somewhere under movies like Trolls 2, Gigli, Catwoman, etc.
  17. So they got a 14 year old to play Luthor...
  18. Jabbas Palace doesn't seem to have disappeared any quicker than normal. I think Lego's earlier stop for that set was based only on the sales. No way. That's a ridiculous statement. Especially the second sentence. I've seen racism so much it's ridiculous. I've suffered from it maybe only twice in my life though because I'm a (mostly) white guy and both times were minor. But my friends that are black, hispanic, etc I see them suffer from racism pretty darned regularly and I live in one of the least racist places in the world. It's ignorant to suggest that racism is nearly dead except for the accusations of racism, completely and utterly. It's rampant in some parts of the world and even in the less racist places like the US it's still clearly around. I will say places like the US are a lot less racist than they used to be, but we still have a long way to go. There's still plenty of racism. It's just getting a bit harder to see for a lot of people. But trust me, most minorities even around the least racist places in the world (which the US in studies has been shown to be among the least racist places) still often suffer from forms of racism against the. Oh and an observation when I went to the UK. They've got this odd (for an American like me) white on white racism that I found kind of strange. :P
  19. I'm doing something similar but there's a problem. The house is bigger on the inside! Once you make the house have the correct rooms, have rooms of roughly the correct size, etc the outside of the house goes way beyond minifigure scale. You can kind of see it in that picture. This thing goes to mansion sizes practically. When scenes of the outside of the house show the house is clearly around the right size as the official set, minus the garage and lack of room above the garage. Really when you compare the scale compared to the characters... even if taken liberally you can't raise the size that much, certainly not enough to fit all the rooms that are roughly to scale. Even factoring in that minifigures are shorter and wider. Factoring in everything there is only one realistic scenario. Homer is a Time Lord and his house is a Tardis! The official set isn't too far off size wise from the normal house. At least how it is depicted in the cartoon. Again, the garage could be bigger and it lacks the room above the garage. It seems to me you can either have a minifigure scale inside with all the rooms OR a minifigure scale outside. You cannot seem to have both! Darned Tardises!
  20. Since someone bumped this and I'm bored... I've never thought of Jar Jar as "black stereotype"... didn't know that's a thing and frankly think it's racist to suggest it's racist because looking for racism where it clearly isn't is freakin' insane and racist all itself.
  21. Eh they're branching out? To other Star Treks besides these two movies? Oh that sucks. That means a Cuusoo Star Trek based on some other Trek like TNG would fail. EDIT: Oh yeah... guess that means they own the rights to all Star Treks. That sucks.
  22. For some reason despite growing up in that time period I've never given a crap about Ghostbusters. I won't be buying the set. There's just zero nostalgia value in it for me. :P
  23. I was thinking something less ridiculous and over the top. I think it's so ridiculous and over the top it's stupid. Especially Shredder. Kind of comparable to the needlessly messy designs of many of the Transformers in his Transformer movies. More detail =/= better design. It's like sticking belts on every part of the body in the 90s comics. The turtles aren't that bad. They remind me more of Samurai than Ninja though. Also they're supposed to be like 15 last time I checked and now they're suddenly quite large and imposing. But again, not bad. Also more whitewashing going on in Hollywood. Shredder is Japanese. Splinter is Japanese. We literally suddenly have zero Japanese people :P. They've all been white-afied. Anyways back on topic... I'd suspect they could use all the existing molds for these guys, just with different printing. Maybe not though.
  24. Oh geeze they made Shredder look like one of them horrible Transformers from his movies...
  25. Those designs aren't nearly as bad as I could imagine from Micheal Bay. But I bet the story still sucks :P. Still, I'll probably get the sets just for the minifigures.
