  1. People always say "these aren't final" but basically every prelim I've seen leaked has been either 90% the same or exactly the same build wise, often the only element changing being the minifigures.
  2. They're all in a current kids TV show as main characters. To kids those 3 are already 10x less obscure.
  3. That is a fair assumption. Casuals do not know who the Black Manta is. Therefore it would sell less. Yeah, some of us would love some of the more obscure characters but that's just in reality not the smartest business move.
  4. Hmmm close enough I say. Leagues and bounds better than the competitors. I didn't really notice until people mentioned it.
  5. Eh I'm just now getting upset about the Planet Series 4 not coming stateside. I don't buy planets. I've bought 1 that was on sale. Buuut the next wave looked good. As a guy who came late to Star Wars Lego I have no Rebel Troopers. I'd love that one. I'd also love the B-Wing one which I hope comes with this upcoming B-Wing. And I can always use the snowspeeder pilot. Basically that wave had ones I'd actually BUY. :P
  6. Of course it wont' have everything. It's not quite to minifigure scale. Heck, one whole noticeable part of the outside is missing (the thing above the garage). Also the garage can fit two cars in the show, not here. Basically this house needs to be like maybe 150% the size that it is, which is why I might buy two just so I can make a truer version of the thing.
  7. $3.99 is okay... I guess. Licensing fees, maybe more new molds than usual, molds that are multicolor. I guess I understand it. I won't be risking randomness though and will do whatever it takes to ensure what I get.
  8. Lego minifigures don't really suit themselves towards automobiles strangely. Due to the proportions and the odd way they sit without losing much height cars need to be unusually big, basically big rig height :P. Standing by a car in real life and most adults are taller but not Lego cars!
  9. I do feel like the minifigures could use some more outlines to help them look cartoony. Oh, and I "fixed" the eyes. Maybe the blind bags will have good eyes. ;p (made in 3 minutes and rushed)
  10. I think the minifigures are more well made than people have been saying. They're good enough. Maybe not perfect but still of a good quality. I think I'll buy this set, maybe two so I can easily make a more minifigure scale house with the proper rooms. The build looks very good and the figures look good. Makes me want to start watching the Simpsons again... Maybe that's the whole idea. Being attacked by nostalgia.
  11. Much of the Star Wars summer wave (until then I only want the new chewie). Maybe the Simpsons house. The Ninja Turtles stuff. Much of the Marvel and DC stuff.
  12. I'm... interested. I haven't regularly watched The Simpsons since like 2003. Since then I've watched like 4 episodes. Nostalgia is owning me right now because I really like this set. However the lack of it truly being minifigure scale is a bit distressing. I do not like the interiors. But my stupid brian is thinking how many of these sets would I need to buy in order to make a truly minifigure scale Simpsons house. Stupid brain that would be so ridiculously expensive! But I can't stop thinking about it.... Another issue is the house on the outside in the series is most often portrayed as smaller than the interiors which makes no sense. The Simpsons house has a kind of Tardis effect going on lol. I haven't watched the show for 10 freakin' years and I'm still really considering getting this...
  13. I didn't say anything like that. Opinions can be different than mine and not wrong. Stop trolling me by putting words in my mouth. I merely suggested it's a fallacy to say there aren't bad opinions. That's just ridiculous. If someone has an opinion that black people are all thieves that's a bad opinion. If someone has an opinion that 2+2=banana phone then that's a bad opinion. There clearly are bad opinions. I probably shouldn't push it but honestly it's just such a stupid fallacy I cannot ignore it. Opinions can have value and worth, varying levels of correctness and wrongness, and be intelligent or stupid. I didn't come in here to troll but to state strongly that this set isn't very good in my opinion via an exaggeration and simile, but I guess that went over some heads.
  14. What an amazing question! I would compound it with the fact that the lastest Lego magazine has come out in the US and lacks any of the new Star Wars sets. Does this mean we won't see them for a good amount of time? Heck, with the cancellation of Series 4 Planets to the US might we never see them!? Oh the humanity!!!
  15. Where the heck can you even find an uruk hai army these days? Been sold outforever online and everywhere I'm at (except if it's like double the price).
  16. So a general question here. When the heck are the new Star Wars sets going to be available at shop.lego.come (or widely distributed enough that they aren't $100 on amazon) in America?
  17. I do. That doesn't mean there aren't bad ones. :o For instance... "I think Mega Bloks is better and of higher quality than Lego."
  18. Now we just have to move to... Hong Kong?
  19. Professor X and his wheelchair. I'd love Beast but... they'd probably use his stupid cat form. How you transform from gorilla to cat I'll never know.
  20. If only minifigure arms had the reticulation for that.
  21. I hate the polls on this site. The crappiest of sets will still have pretty darned good votes placing it at least above average. :P This set is below average. Yes, you can take opinions into account, but some opinions contrary to popular belief, are just wrong. :)
  22. I expected it. The set doesn't seem to be UCS or that expensive. People were expecting too much. We'll get yet another underscaled, not as good as it could be, AT-AT. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if it continued to basically be the same model. Oh well...
  23. Bought it. Didn't build (because it's terrible). But the Rancor "macro"fig was totally worth it. Getting another guard d00d is cool too. It's a MUST HAVE simply because of the Rancor. But again, don't bother building it unless you like bland pits. Maybe buy the Rancor separately but that'll be at least $20, possibly more (half the price of the set when it's on sale, which it often is).
  24. Nope. They mention Michelangelo. Which I didn't search for via ctrl + f. ;p
  25. Not a single one of those mentions Mikey.
