Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
BrickG replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
It's Micheal Bay. He takes the center of something awesome, then will make the focus NOT on that thing. Transformers? Lets focus on the awkward, prepetually-prepubescent Shia LaBeouf. Lets go through his annoying crappy story and focus on it more than anything else. Now with Ninja Turtles lets just make every single turtle a sidekick and focus on Casey Jones, April and maybe this Vernon guy. Yeah. -

The Big Bang Theory is terrible. I won't go into why. I judge people who like it ;P. Anyways if Doctor Who becomes a set... then I'll only need Star Trek to have everything I've ever wanted franchise wise. K-nex or whatever has that license needs to die. -

I've taken "always in motion is the future" as said by Yoda to mean that the future isn't set. Visions can be of possible futures so they don't really mean anything but possibilities. -
I'm sick of these shows that they're forcing into the same universe as the movies. It means they're almost never able to have guest stars of the movie stars. Like we probably will never have a chance to see Thor, Loki, Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow or Hawkeye in the avengers. I find that extremely limiting to the stories. If they have a Young Justice TV show set in the new DC universe guess what? There's no way they could afford Batman. They couldn't afford Superman. They couldn't afford most any of the movie stars. They might get some meaningless 1 minute cameos that add nothing to the story like Samuel L. Jackson did for Agents of SHIELD. But that's meaningless and the only purpose is to be a cameo and hope the fans don't mind that they'll probably never be able to afford him again or use him in any meaningful story. I wish they'd just accept that the movies and TV can be separate... IMO it does not work because of the above limitations.

I kind of want Astrometric Droids to get new, more accurate molds. A bit more detail on the legs. Turnable heads. I have no idea how they'd do it Lego-wise but a 3d lego that can go into the droid and out. Also droid heads based on the other astromechs. We only have R2 (guess it can be R3 too) and R5 heads.

SHIELD is still meh. It's got enough to keep me coming casually (if I didn't have it automatically recording I'd miss it). Hopefully season 2 fixes stuff and Marvel doesn't ditch it.

I'm annoyed that GL and Green Arrow and still comic con exclusives. Supposedly a GL is coming soon... but still. Just give me GL (preferably John Stewart) and Hawkgirl and I'm good. Also maybe more "sidekicks" would be awesome since right now like 100% of them are from the Bat family.

Is Coulson appearing in Winter Soldier? Or the next Avengers?

"might"? Ploybags like this go up in value 100% of the time. Probably $20-30 real soon. Might hover there for a while.

Ward and May also aren't as good as Black Widow and Hawkeye. Ward and May seem to struggle against normal humans. They'd have died in the attack on New York City :P.

So that's his name? Dave Filoni... I've got an irrational hate of that guy. What's up with the random cowboy hat? As someone related to real cowboys I'm illogically bothered by it. I also like nothing he has directed. I'm mean today. I think I'll blame him for everything. Every time I see him talk he says something stupid. -
I like new Luke's hair. His freakin' cheekbones make him look like a macho man or something. Too much. His cheekbones are not something that stands out on him...

Padme was obviously very pregnant in RotS. Dunno what movie you watched. Her stomach was there and she was wearing tons of moomoos. :P On a brighter note Shak-Ti making TFU non-canon is good. TFU was never good. However, I really do wish they ended up putting in Revan and Malak in. It shows what kind of stuff they're (almost) willing to make canon and what kind of stuff they're willing to ignore. Basically KOTOR is the best Star Wars outside of the OT imo. Would have loved for that to become canon :P. Lastly for the age discrepancy. It has never bothered me and should never bother anyone in my opinion. I've known 50 year olds who looked 75. I've known 75 year olds who looked 50. Lifestyle and genes have a lot to do with it. Obiwan probably led a pretty stressful life, mix that with desert life and the constant sun on Tatooine... and he could easily have aged bad. You might too if all your friends are killed by your bestie. Stress, depression (don't know if he was depressed but I'd say he was for a while!), constant sun can lead to looking older (directly or indirectly). Genes are a thing too. Basically it is NOT at all implausible. As for Vader facing a similar issue, he was freakin' burned in lava, probably sad as fudge a lot of the time, probably stressed, stuck in a freakin' suit all his life... That could easily take a toll too. I mean for all we know Yoda was just a REALLY stressed and depressed old human who got too much sun. So you never know! ;) -

We see Padme not being pregnant don't we? Seems like there's several months. -

Palpatine chanting a spell is in no way comparable to a vision of Vader. It's crossed form mysterious to magic and over explained. I'm half expecting them to be wizards and start yelling Avada Kedavra while shooting Force Lightning from their Force-wands. -
Well no Moe isn't a surprise. He's a bar tender. And not one you can wash over very easily with kids. Sadly I think you won't ever see a Barney Gumble due to this same reason. But I might be wrong. It's just a tough sell in some places and might be a bit controversial.

It's magic at this point. Cutting a hand for blood and chanting a spell is magic. Also we didn't need to bring together the PT and OT versions of the force because the PT is trash. And I'm one of those guys who thinks the force is already too explained and lacks any real mystery anymore. -

Jar Jar's whole character is based on unfunny funnies. Accidentally aggroing stuff. Accidentally defeating enemies though some form of idiotic luck. Being an unnaturally lucky fool. He's the freakin' worst character in almost all of fiction. Only small children find him funny (I can't blame small kids for that, kids are stupid ;P). To (mis)quote Micheal Scott. If I had a gun with two bullets and I was in a room with Hitler, Bin Laden and JarJar I would shoot JarJar twice. No amount of development would ever make him likable for the vast majority of people. -
As someone who used to be a kid I can say I'd care. And I never attacked my sister's dolls with my stuff. I'd want the figure, not the book when I was a kid. But even then I wouldn't want this figure because it's old style and fits with nothing.

This is like $100 overpriced. And no Aunt Beru...

Why the crap do they insist on using Jar Jar? What the heck is the matter with them? Seriously. I want to know what kind of thought processes go into supporting any use of Jar Jar besides extreme stubbornness? Want to alienate 99% of non-little kids? Throw Jar Jar in there. :| -

Well I've only watched the first arc but honestly, as with basically all of this series, I'm pretty darned underwhelmed. I often bring up examples of great shows like Breaking Bad. Then get told not all shows can be great. Why not Star Wars? It's got 3 great movies. Why not invest in an actual, good, non-kiddified Star Wars series? Honestly I expect nothing of any higher quality in Star Wars Rebels. Especially since a lot of the same people are involved. I hate that guy in a cowboy hat :P. -
I'm not sure how they could make a good Lego Tardis without a new mold or two. Honestly I've not liked any custom Lego Tardises so far that used only official Lego pieces. I'm talking minifigure scale.
