  1. I don't want a Chiss. Star Wars is known for not doing the whole "human but with a different skin color and/or forehead" thing too much. Chiss are literally just blue humans with red eyes.
  2. Well I'm pretty sure Well I'm pretty sure Peter Mayhew is playing Chewie who is not human but a giant fur ball known as a Wookiee. I'm surprised you didn't notice. ;)
  3. Disney will be fine with a metal bikini.
  4. They're both dead. I know they can force ghost but if they're truly trying to basically do a generational change with Star Wars then they should probably not be involved.
  5. I could agree with your argument if the majority of Star Wars fans didn't completely or mostly ignore EU. So arguing EU's influence being a strong contender as the reason for the shift in views IMO doesn't really work. EU didn't change expectations for 98% of the general populace because most people don't bother with it.
  6. A New Hope isn't a kids movie. It's an everyone movie. It has appeal beyond kids. Clone Wars for reasons I won't get into lacked that. No, don't show me adults that love it. I know they exist. The point is the fanbase is lopsided and it's a fact to say that the adult appeal is a lot more limited. The adult viewership is much smaller than it's ever been for Star Wars because the people suck at making something with adult appeal. And from the limited amount of stuff shown I would say they are so far unable to replicate the spectacle and excitement of A New Hope. Like in that clip where they're fighting Tiy Fighters. There is a distinct lack of a sense of danger. In this clip we see Hera being incredibly cocky. She downplays the heck out of the Tie Fighters saying the other guy should be able to handle one little Tie Fighter and seems to suggest they're child's play. Her whole attitude is incredly cocky and confident. There is zero danger. Compare that to the Tie scene in A New Hope. There's music that can be almost described as a bit worrisome. There's a real sense of danger as the Ties shoot the Falcon. Han tells Luke not to get cocky and there's a bit of nervousness in the air. Yeah, they cheer and celebrate when they defeat the enemy but there was always a sense of risk and danger. It's not much to go on but whatever. It's my prediction that Rebels will be a really freakin' kiddie show. Heck, they'll probably find excuses to use Jar Jar Binks continually like Clone Wars did.
  7. The interview is depressing. And I really don't like what this Dave Filoni guy does. :/ The interview makes it sound like this will be the most kiddiefied Star Wars yet. So do the latest clips.
  8. http://kotaku.com/this-is-the-cast-of-star-wars-episode-vii-1569305101 Anyone know what Andy Serkis plays? And where is Lando?
  9. I have no problem with customs. Even ones that are sold moderately. Like the "barely" mass produced lines some people make and sell like those Game of Thrones ones. I start to have problems with other large companies made clones and start making significant money off of them. I think of smaller operations in a more friendly manner because they usually are more comparable to something like fan art. They're more innocent or tend to be at least. Then we get just these companies trying to make good money off of looking as much like Lego as possible without crossing the legal line. It's like the difference between an artist and a corrupt businessman (not a non-corrupt one).
  10. Bleerg Why does Luke have such a chiseled face all the sudden? He's like suddenly sculpted and not a kid. Why would they do this? WHY!?
  11. I got that little X-Wing on a whim. Wanted another pilot figure. Can't say I ended up caring anything for the ship :P.
  12. The TV show is still doing well. The sets seem to be selling very well too. In my non-scientific poll I usually see them mostly or entirely sold out at stores around me. Got the last Kurai set in a store finally. I'd be very surprised if there weren't more waves.
  13. I assume the Revan minifig is offered in the UK. I'll have just moved to London. My only options seems to be to walk in the store there and buy enough to get one. :P Correct me if I'm wrong. (I doubt I'll have a functioning bank account quick enough to order from the website, I'm literally moving there right about when this is offered)

    Stickers?

I'd rather it be printed directly on the things. Saves me effort. Saves me from accidentally putting the sticker on crooked. Doesn't look like a sticker which is good. Doesn't degrade as fast. Doesn't have bubbles that sometimes for some reason I can't always get rid of. Blablabla.
  15. At this point I'm hanging on to the hope that season 2 will be more than an average show. Plenty of other shows get better later. Star Trek TNG kind of had a weak first seasons until the Borg came. Stargate Universe was slow and pretty terrible until the last several episodes and by then it was too late. These characters need an injection of personality. A few would probably be easier to just be replaced. The story arcs and plots need to go faster but I bet that's pretty difficult since they tie into movies which are really spread apart. Also they need to be better with the super powers. The super powers on the show so far have been lame and obviously purposely designed around a small budget. Electricity absorbing on/off d00d has had his powers in like every show that has ever had super powers because it's cheap as heck to produce, but sadly it feels it too. Also the only part with special effects that I liked was when they showed Deathlocke's cybernetics... I wish they were on the OUTSIDE... He looked bad otherwise as well as basically all the special effects involving super powers. I think they can take notes from the TV show HEROES which did super powers VERY well for a show with such a budget. They had fun and interesting powers that didn't require crazy special effects and WEREN'T cliched to death like Mr. Controls Electricity. I mean like Hiro was awesome and didn't need any special effects most of the time (not saying AoS should get into Time Travel).
  16. Well I can't reason with someone who defends AoS when comparing it to the infinitely superior Buffy. The two aren't comparable and consistency doesn't matter when it's nothing but "meh". Just look at the general thoughts on the show in the populace. "Meh"s all around.
  17. No it doesn't. The future is always in motion. A vision is not confirmation. It was confirmed. They officially had statements in the past about this. Which is why this re-announcement is odd. Maybe it was just to clarify and get more attention.
  18. Buffy had a lot more going on within 1 season. And even though they didn't use Angel much in that season it's an example of using something much much more effectively. I wish these famous actors and writers and directors would stop getting their family members hired. I understand why they do it and can't say I wouldn't do it themselves but there's clearly a lack of talent from the less known sibling like every time I see it.
  19. I like him better as a Teen Titan too. I like to think of him as a later generation of hero. And am I supposed to believe that this is a world that was shocked when aliens and Superman showed up? Apparently the Flash, Wonder Woman, a human Cyborg, etc all exist. Did they just up an appear after Superman showed up?
  20. Just opinions on the characters as they've developed so far on Agents of SHIELD.
  21. This is old news that they re-announced for some reason. I guess there's a bit of new info? Dunno what it is though :P.
  22. I have no issue with the ones that are of existing characters. Well... some issue but it's livable. As much as I'd love that black suit Superman and evil Leonardo I can live without them. It's the completely unique characters that really p me off. Will we ever get a Bizzaro before 2020 or something? XP
  23. The latest interviews and clips give me no faith that this is going to be any better than Clone Wars. It sounds like it's more kiddy. They've almost described it as such. And the latest clip is ridiculously bad. They make killing ties into a game and plaything. In the original movies the ties presented an actual danger and weren't a joke.
  24. And as I said before the in show justifications are crap. Forcing a justification for a decision that was clearly about budget is pointless. We've all heard the "Homer is just an idiot" explanation. No matter how many times it's summarized it's still a crappy reason.
  25. Exo-suit won't sell nearly as well as the other Cuusoos. I was surprised it was accepted. Cuusoo will probably continue to be more and more about franchises. They just plain sell better most of the time.
