  1. As interesting as this banter about Stash is, I'm afraid I must interrupt it. I have some very important information to tell all of you. I haven't said anything before now, because I haven't had any solid information before. I have a night action. I can see what actions others use during the night. I think the official term is a Peeping Tom. Up till now, I haven't caught anyone in the act. But last night, I saw Frank White/WhiteFang try and convert someone! I have no idea if he was successful (and I doubt he will tell us the truth if he did), but I have no doubts that he is one of the mob bosses. Believe me or not. I will be voting for Frank as soon as possible. If he is convicted and I am wrong, I accept my fate, and am prepared to be lynched on day 6. But I am not wrong. Frank White is scum. More than that, he is a boss. I trust the good people of this town to do the right thing.

  3. You guys really think it's too big? I think it looks to be about the perfect size. Banthas aren't exactly small.
  4. Thank you. I'm glad you like it. While I agree that the back end needs "something", I'm pretty sure I don't have enough light gray tiles to do an adequate job. I'll try, but I don't make any promises. If it turns out well, I will take some more photos. Yeah, a Nebulon frigate just needs all the greebly bits along the wing, regardless of whther it's a B or B-2. Using slopes for the aft section is going to have to wait. I will need a lot more BL orders to get the slopes (I'm tapped out at the moment; can't imagine why), and the internal structure needs to be completely re-worked to accomodate the change. Wait, the B-2 has seven engines, I know it does. *runs to check Wookiepedia* Crap, it doesn't I knew that, I was just testing you. Yeah, that's it. Honestly, I think the bottom row would look a little empty with only three engines. Not entirely accurate, but looks nice. Fine. I'll adjust it for rev 3
  5. Was that a shot? I think that was a shot. Does anyone else think so? At any rate, my avatar has changed. Now when does the bloodshed begin!?!
  6. Masked Builder, you dirty rat! You changed your Airstrike target after seeing mine. Not that it will matter STAP from E16 to E14 STAP from G16 to G14 SBDs from J20 to K20 SBDs from J21 to J20 AAT from R22 to S22
  7. Unlike someone like, oh I, don't know, Padme?
  8. I'm liking the Battle of Naboo set more and more every time I see it. But the droid rack needs some modding. While it's nice that they gave us a place for the blasters, that rack really should be packed with droids. The Battle for Geonosis set looks really good, too. Even if it includes another sub-standard BARC. Luminara for the win! As for price, I get the feeling it will be similar to the MF Hailfire set, or the Homing Spider Droid set. Just a gut feeling. Perhaps a TRU exclusive?
  9. They call me The Master. That man over there is my assistant, Torgo. Say hello, Torgo. Hello, Torgo. Good help is so hard to find these days. Together Torgo and I will awaken the great god MANOS, and he shall wreak destruction upon all of you helpless non-believers. Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha! Ha. Question: For those of us still embroiled in Eurodina, is it alright that the new avatar go in our sigs? Oh, and I'm interested. In case you couldn't tell.
  10. The detailing on the bottom is looking great, cavegod. I'm loving it so far. Any estimate on when it will be completed?
  11. I had thought about greebing up the aft section, since there are studs to do it. But once I knew the forward section was going to be studless by using slopes, I backed off of that plan. I didn't want to add to the disparity between the fore and aft sections.

  16. Back in February I made a topic showcasing my newly completed UCS Nebulon B-2 model. That topic is dead and buried, and can be found here, if you are interested. In that topic, I promised that I would build the model someday. Well, someday has arrived. The Nebulon B-2 frigate is a modified version of the Nebulon B frigate made famous in the closing scene of ESB. It first appeared in the TIE Fighter video game. There are several different imaginings of what the Neb B-2 is supposed to look like. I used the images from Wookiepedia primarily as inspiration, but added some of my own interpretations into the design. Overall Front View Wing Hangar Bay Aft Section Engines Engines Close-Up This model took over three years to design, and took well over 8 weeks to actually build, mostly due to lack of time. I apologize for any picture quality issues. This model is very large (~3 ft long, about 18 inches tall, excluding the antenna cluster) and heavy, which makes it hard to photograph. I had to place the model on the floor, which means that my tri-pod puts the camera above the model. Pictures from below are going to be tricky, if not impossible. If there are any additional photos that anyone wants, please feel free to ask. As stated in the topic title, this is my second attempt at a Nebulon B-2. The first attempt, which I have dubbed the Technicolor Yawn, didn't turn out as well, color choices aside. This new design is an improvement almost everywhere. That being said, the model is not perfect. I misjudged where the moment of inertia in the forward section was going to be, so the front stand really needs to be moved forward by 5-6 studs. It doesn't sound difficult, but the change is pretty major in the internal workings, so it will have to be put off until Rev 3.0, if that ever happens. I also would like to change the SNOTed plating that covers the aft section to slopes and SNOTed slopes, to match the forward section. The aft section was one of the first parts of the design completed, and the forward section was the last. Other than that I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. There are a few more photos in the Brickshelf Gallery. Like I said, I didn't take all that many. Questions and comments are welcome. Like I said, the model is still together, so photo requests are also welcomed.
  17. Exactly. Everything we've seen for January, except for Mace's JSF, has been stamped Confidential, which makes them leaked pics and not official pics. Hence the reason they aren't in the first post of this thread for everyone to drool over.
  18. Unless THIS counts, no. We still don't have official pictures of the January wave (except for Mace's JSF).
  19. Grevious: "Send out the Hyena Bombers!" Airstrike M1 STAP G18 to G16 STAP E18 to E16 Turn Droid Carrier from U23 to T22 SBDs from J22 to J21
  20. Set #8038 was called The Battle of Endor, and having two set numbers with the same name will inevitably lead to confusion. Unless TLC is going to re-release the 2009 set under a new number? Nah, 7956 will be called something else. KimT probably already knew all of this, and I missed his internet sarcasm, but I thought I'd post anyway.
  21. What a fantastic index, Sieggy. You have really done a great job on it, so far. And thanks to Shadows and Hinckley as well, as I'm sure this is taking a huge amount of time and effort. What is the procedure going to be for adding new reviews to the index? Or are you too busy trying to get existing reviews indexed that you haven't come up a definitive plan yet? Also, I noticed that two of my Exploriens reviews aren't linked in the Sci-Fi index. My guess is that they never got put in the Sci-Fi forum index, and so got lost. They are 6958 - Android Base and 6982 - Explorien Starship. No hurry, I just don't want them to fall through the cracks. Now to start filling in some gaps.

  24. That doesn't mean he won't end up with them anyway, though. This still looks fantastic, even with the change in minifigs. That fambaa looks terrific.
  25. Alas, the building instructions are not yet available online. I'm kind of curious how it was done as well.
