  1. Except the second Pilot is canon.
  2. But a blast-ended skrewt would be AWESOME. Not that I have any idea how to build one in LEGO. I'll get to work on a character in a day or two. (We saw how quickly I photographed my CIS army for CC...oh, wait a minute. )
  3. My mistake, Ron, I did mean Erik King.
  4. Why are we certain that the person holding the briefcase was either Stash or a Policeman? Since when do scum care about rules like breaking and entering? This is some of the flimsiest evidence I've heard of. I am more apt to suspect Ron King, who first voiced this thoery than Stash. Although Ron is a policeman... Still there is far too little evidenece for me to cast a vote tonight.
  5. I thought I had read that somewhere. My mistake. I know. Of the 80 or so LSW sets I still need to collect, the Ultimate Duel is dead last. After the Pod Racer Bucket.
  6. This is exactly what I thought, too. Nothing else really makes sense. I had a thought, and It might be a crackpot one, but maybe there's a nugget of truth to it. Are we certain the scum are recruiting randomly? Perhaps they had agents already planted amongst the good people of our town, and need only "activate" them to bring them to their side. That would make the argument for voting today stronger, as even if we took out an innocent, if it was an agent that could be activated, then that's one more future scum we wouldn't have to worry about. Of course, there is probably no way to deteremine who could potentially be one of these agents, anyway. The best thing we could do is ferret out the mob bosses themselves, and stop them before they can recruit in the first place. But we saw how well that worked yesterday. I need to go mediatate and gather my thoughts.
  7. Morning everyone. It's a good day to be alive. With two new mafia members, or chances of finding scum have just doubled! Of course, it still is going to be frightfully hard to find four scum out of 42 town members. It's still overwhelmingly against the odds of finding them. Unless one of the scum wants to announce himself? No? Fine. Just know that I'll be watching.
  8. I liked that hat. And I love that ship. It is gorgeous. Somewhere during the dark age between my youth and AFOL life, I left the creativity neede for a ship like this behind. Now all I can do is copy someone elses design and render it into brick form.
  9. And the moustache. You can't forget the moustache.
  10. I forgot about that one too, although details are even more sketchy than Mace's JSF. It's no wonder that one slipped my mind. A Geonosis set would be awesome, much better than another Delta-7B (though inferior to an Eta-2 Actis )
  11. 1. UCS TIE Fighter. Have I expressed my desire to see this set before? 2. Palpatine's Arrest. So many possibilities with this set. It's a shame we go thte Home One set instead. 3. Battle of Kashyyyk. Must include an Octoparra Droid (sp?), maybe a STAP or three, an AT-RT, BARC, some phase II clones, Battle Droids and SBDs and, most importantly - the return of the Kashyyyk Trooper.
  12. There is no rumor of a Home One set in the August wave, unless we just started it right here. Someone a few posts up mentioned the set that was released in 2007? (someone verify that) in a poorly worded post, and others have run with the comment out of context. The only rumored set we have yet to see prelim pictures on is Mace Windu's Jedi Starfighter, to my knowledge.
  13. I would guess that the CTT sold much better than the Wookie Catamaran is the reason. There was probably pressure to re-release both, but the sales numbers only showed the CTT as a profitable re-release. Didn't the Catamaran have stability issues? The only other LUL sets were the TIE Fighter with a LUL Darth Vader (no need to release this again, as Vaders are relatively common minifigs) and the horrid Ultimate Lightsaber Duel. Anyone want a re-release of that set? No? Moving on then.
  14. They already made this one, too. The MSRP was $90.00 USD, which is around 57 GBP, and it had only a fraction of those minifigs. I can't see all of those extra minifigs, the stands and power functions being added for a mere 12 GBP, so even if the set were to get a re-release, that price is FAR too low. And Palpy's arrest was one of the sets that were voted on a few years back. The Home One set was chosen and released, and the Slave I option is in the current wave (minus the promised landing platform; Cloud City playset, anyone? ), so there is hope that it could be coming soon. Might not be as grand as everyone expects, though.
  15. Very Short Answer: Economics Slightly longer answer: UCS sets simply don't sell well enough to warrant putting out more than one or two every couple of years. Right now LEGO is averaging 1.25 UCS sets per year (15 sets over 12 years). Some accountant has probably determined that that is the ideal release rate for UCS sets. You have to remember that AFOLs are a small niche in LEGO's overall market. We make up, what, under 10% of all those buying LEGO products? (someone verify that before I look like a complete idiot). Although AFOLs are probably a little free-er with their spending on LEGO.
  16. As a matter of fact, I do happen to have the list handy. They differ in some cases. The descriptions should help a lot. I didn't specify Old gray vs Bluish gray. Some parts are only found in one or the other, unfortunately. Or they were when I was buying the parts. Also, that 20L flexible hose is hard to find in Light Gray. I used a Pearl Dark Gray hose, and it looks OK. Of course, the last time I looked for the hose was a few years ago, so it might have shown up in more sets. I do remember I left at least one blue part in the model, because it wasn't visible in the finished product. A blue 2 x 6 Brick, if memeory serves.
  17. Looks like I have to get off my megablocks and take a photo or three I ran into a snag this weekend when I went to do this. I had forgotten that I dismantled my 7662 MTT, and I'm not about to jump into battle without that piece of equipment. I also need to track down a few random troopers (like the droideka and SBDs from the original RGS). So a little more patience, please. EDIT:Done! Finally. Who knew these 7 pictures would be so difficult to produce? Overall: Battle Droids: Rocket Battle Droids, Assassin Droids & Droidekas: Commanders & SBDs: Vehicles Part 1: Vehicles Part 2: Vehicles Part 3: I tried to overlap the vehicles photos as much as I could. 18. There was. It's buried a page or two back. I think the final upshot of the conversation was that no one really knows what a Mystery Game should actually be like, though. I am curious to see how Red Moon finishes up, and if there is another mystery game, I'd love to take part in it. EDIT: Nevermind, the discussion was part of the RM Discussiontopic, not it's own separate topic. And it's on the first page of this forum.
  19. What he said. I saw Ep IV in 1977 multiple times, and I've been hooked on SW ever since. Around the same time, my parents started me on my LEGO obsession. So when I saw the LSW sets hit the shelves in 1999, the circle was complete, and the madness began. Unfortunately I had a dark age between 2004 and 2007. It left a big hole in my collection that has yet to be filled in.
  20. I love that shot of the Sandtrooper on the camel. The light spots really add to the photo. Was that intentional?
  21. The TIE Bomber looks good in that collection, spacepilot3000. Have you ever thought about MODing the TIE Interceptor model to remove the blue pieces? The results look fantastic, in my opinion. Obviously I've MODed mine, and I've never had a moment of remorse.
  22. I took yet another look at the BARC speeder, and It looked better to me this time than it did before. My main complaint with it still is that the front just looks blocky. I wonder how it would look if the front were only 1 stud wide instead of 2 studs? I believe that would make it MUCH better. Did anyone notice that large gray gear behind the cockpit on the Jedi Shuttle? I wonder what it's there for? If I had to guess, I'd say that it works with the black, technic-y looking pieces behind it to lock the wing into place, possibly with an elastic band for tension. Just a guess, though. Or it could merely be there for it's greeby-ness.
  23. Oh, come now Shadows. The stutter isn't that bad. It gives his character some depth. And you do get used to it.
  24. So I come out of meditation only to find many baseless accusations being thrown around. I haven't seen an ounce of evidence that warrants voting anyone out today. Not that some individuals aren't already suspicious. But not enough to vote for them. Heck, we still aren't certain how many scum we are talking about. If it really is only the two Godfathers, then the chances of them sticking their necks out are exactly two things: slim and none. I will do as Master Butcher has taught, and exercise some patience. I am sure come tomorrow morning some new evidence will surface that we can work from. I urge everyone else to do the same.
