Red Scare Mystery - Chapter Four
Walter Kovacs replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I just realized I didn’t tell my life story. How rude of me. I was born and raised in Wilmington. I went to law school at the University of Delaware. That is where I met my wife, Karen. After graduation, we married and moved to Alabatha to care for her ailing mother. I soon took up politics, serving on the Town Council for years before winning the mayoral election last spring. Those of you that voted for me know that I am proud to be a card carrying Democrat. This town needed some changes (and still does), and after this ordeal is over, we can get back to making those changes. If we survive, that is. So let’s hear from some of the others. How about you, Matt. How long have you been investigating communists? How many of these investigations have you carried out? How do you like working for the Chairman of the House Committee on Un-American Activities, what was his name again? And Ieter, looks like you emigrated here right after the war. Were you fleeing the impending Soviet occupation? There's no shame in that. I would have tried to do the same if I were in your shoes. -
I think everyone else has touched on the issues with this UT-AT. What you have is a very good start. With some improvements I think it could be excellent. I look forward to updated photos.

Yes, please resize those photos. I have a fast computer and it still took over a minute to load them. I can't imagine how those with slow computers are going to manage.

Did you even read Day 12? It was explained in there. Zephyr, I would like to thank you for hosting this wonderful game. I just wish I had lasted until the very end. Anyway, it was fun, and I learned a lot through the process. I know where my big mistake occured, and I think I can improve next game, given the chance. -
Hello and welcome to EB.

Red Scare Mystery - Chapter Four
Walter Kovacs replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
While I'm glad to have earned your trust, I'm wondering why I've earned it and others have not? Any of the 21 among us could be communists, and I certainly am making no assumptions. A very good point James. For all we know the red commie bastards could have written the note to throw suspicion on the newcomers, specifically to shield themselves from suspicion. That would be a commie thing to do. The DuPont Chemical Company has its headquarters and main research labs in Wilmington, which isn't too far from here. Perhaps information is brought from Wilmington to Alabatha and then transmitted from here. It's a theory, at least. Annapolis, Maryland and the US Naval Academy is nearby, too. But you would have to cross all of Delaware, part of Maryland and cross Chesapeake Bay to get there from here. Not far as the crow flies, but very inconvenient. There are naval bases in Virginia and Pennsylvania as well, but I would think they are a bit far to make Alabatha a viable option. Given the amount of interest the US Government has in Alabatha, and the severity of the consequences should we fail, is it possible that the government has a secret reasearch facility here in town that none of us knows about? I would like to wait patiently while Ralph searches the bins. After he's finished, I'd like to search under the bins. Also, I ask that when we do get the door open, please don't rush in. Take a good look at the floor first. If this builidng is as unused as it seems like it is, then there should be foot prints in the dust on the floor. -
Care to expound on that a little bit. It's not like there aren't several hundred pages of discussions. As for the mention of Luke Skywalker, I'm going to bet that they meant Anakin, and didn't catch it during the proofread. A silly mistake if that's what it is.

Red Scare Mystery - Chapter Four

As I should know this ahead of time, I'd like to know if any in our group worked on my election campaign. I just thought of something. Captain Harding, you don't frequent this town often, do you? Do you happen to stay at the Alabatha Hotel, perhaps on the third floor? If you do, you mighht want to reconsider. It's not as clean a room as it used to be, and it's sort of drafty now. I'd like to ask Patrick Jefferson and the police officers who investigated the late Mrs. Jefferson's death. Hmmm. So we're not to trust the newcomers. I'm going to take that quite literally. I'd like to ask each member of our group to relate how long they have lived in Alabatha. I am going to start by giving my own story. -
I'm not a big minifig collector, so I still don't have much interest in the T-6 shuttle, but Saesee Tiin does look good and Shaak Ti looks fantastic. I'm disappointed in the mando head print. I guess it does look like Pre Visla, but I'd rather have a more generic head under the helmet, as none of the figs have Pre Visla's helmet/armor printing. The bounty hunters look good, but I don't get why everyone is so eager to have them. Aurra Sing is the only one I've seen in the CW series. I distinctly do not like the Halo setitself at all. An UCS TIE would be so wonderful. *sigh*

I'm not sure how I missed this when it was first posted. This is a fantastic Midi scale MOC. I'm looking forward to the updated pictures. It looks fantastic the way it is, I can't imagine what needed improvement. I might just have to download the .lxf file and build it myself.

Very nice Cloney. I must have missed this thread when it was first up, I'm glad it made a resurgence. Your new cartoon is pretty funny. All though that "Revenge at last" one is a bit macabre. I like it

Welcome to EB, Ingrimm. That is a very nice MOC you have there. For someone that claims to "have not enough bricks for making them " you certainly did a great job on your MOC. You have far more plant pieces than I have.
-
Welcome to Eurobricks Cad Bane. There are a lot of people that like the Clone Wars series, myself included. I just wish they wouldn't focus so often on Obi and Anakin. I'll be looking for you over in the Star Wars forum.

Welcome charles. Any particular theme that you like to collect or build MOCs in?

Welcome Leg Godt Gud. I love the name, especially now that I know what it translates to. (I got the Leg Godt part, just didn't catch the Gud part )
-
Welcome to EB, Maciej. Like KDM said, buying for kids is one great way to increase one's own collection, especially when those children are too young for them.

Welcome Adam0n, and a very nice Bionicle collection. I'm sure I'll see you in the Action Figures forum.

Red Scare Mystery - Chapter Four

Mr. Harding, Mrs Harding, Mr Daly, welcome to the doomed beautiful town of Alabatha. You couldn't have come at a worse time. Before we move on to the Farm, there are a few questions I'd like answered or clarified. Did anyone bother to check the Hotel registry while you were there? Don't you think we should find out who this "Ted" is and see who rented the 2nd floor room? I have a very bad feeling that the bloodstain on the third floor was this "Ted". The blood had fully dried, right? So the stain was at least a day or two old before "we" got there. When you were in the third floor room in the hotel, was the broken glass inside the room or out on the street? Everyone assumed the red was breaking out of the room, but I suspect that he was breaking in, to remove some evidence before you could get to it. Would he really have needed a rock from the beach to break the window if he was inside? Also, what side of the hotel was the ladder on, and was it there before you went into the hotel? If you remember, I wasn't there at the time, thanks to our friendly neighborhood CIA agent. Also, someone should check to see if the broken window was locked. Better yet, at least three people should check. Safety in numbers. Did anyone bother to check under the beds in the Hotel? Dieter, yesterday you were saying something about being in a tunnel. Where were you when you found the tunnel? How did you get in? Where did it lead to? Did anyone bother to open the crate that was floating in the water near the lighthouse? Does the name Harborside Boats mean anything to me? I'd like to see the three notes that you found at the Hotel. Are they written in the same handwriting? There is the secret tunnel we are all but certain is in the Town Hall basement. Shouldn't we find that first? I don't care if we finish searching the upper floors or not, but I think knowing where the tunnel entrance is will be important. One last thing, I'd like to fill in the newcomers on everything we know from the first three chapters. Captain Harding, is the Lakota registered as an American vessel or does it sail under a foreign flag? Would you mind showing us the ship's manifest? I don't think a full search of the vessel is warrented right now. Besides, it would take far to long to fully search a cargo ship. I would ask that the ship be locked down if possible, and that no cargo be transferred on or off of the ship. I doubt there are any dockworkers left around to do that work anyway. And James is too busy with us. -
I can corroborate this. That PM was during Day 1, before Carrie was converted. Take note of the dates. This was during Day 3, I believe. These last two are from a separate PM that only Shaun, myself, Frankie and Becker were part of. As you can see, Shaun never fully trusted Stash at least to us. Also, you can see proof of Ronconator's claim of a double vote. Because of my Night Watch abilities, I know who the protectors are and were. I also happen to know that I've not been targetted by the mob for a kill, as I would have seen who did it, just as Shaun did. If you want further proof, during the voting against Carrie, I asked Shaun if Carrie had targetted him. Look it up, it's there. I knew he would know that, as with the Night Watch ability you get a message saying "So and So followed you last night." At least, that's the message I get when the protectors follow me. Brian Quest followed me on several nights before his untimely death. Janice, I still believe you are scum, and you better believe I am going to be following you tonight. But given this new information, I feel it only right to change my vote. unvote Janice Boy/Capt. JohnPaul vote Benjamin Badger/Bendy Badger And Gen, I find it interesting you would follow a vote so blindly. Or maybe I shouldn't You voted for Eric King on Day 2, when there was no evidence at all except his stutter. Makes a person wonder why would do that, doesn't it? Or why Susan Keen voted for you on Day 10, when the rest of us were voting for Sean. Did she know something we don't? Is that why she was killed?
-
On the basis of what, exactly. I hate to say it, but your case leaves a little to be desired. A lot actually. I've been busting my tail for the past 11 days trying to catch the scum in the act. Putting my neck out there. What have you done to help, Janice? I haven't seen you suggesting any suspects that have led to convictions. I haven't seen you leading the vote against known scum. You haven't given me any leads to follow up on. And now you turn on me? Or maybe you're just afraid. Afraid that I might be investigating you next. Is that it? If I follow you tonight, am I going to discover your dirty little secret? Is that the Noodles plan, to vote me out now that the required total is low enough that you can do it? They couldn't get to me because of protection, so they try to get to me through a public vote? Is that their game? I think my course of action just became a lot clearer. vote Janice Boy/Capt. JohnPaul

Wait, the town managed not to kill any scum in Prohibition? I might have to read through that one. -
Welcome Man with Beard. Which forums do you plan on showing your MOCs in, or are they going to be spread liberally around the site?

Hi, I'm Teo, here's my best MOC up to now
Walter Kovacs replied to Teazza's topic in Hello! My name is...
Welcome to EB, Teo. That Space Shuttle and platform crawler are fantastic. I look forward to other creations you might have. -
Alas, no. The person I investigated (Mike Collins) was dead when I got there. I assume that means he has no night action anymore.
