  1. Same here; the buildings/playsets look good, I dig the steampunk elements and dragons, I like a lot of the figures... with Nexo Knights, I like the figures & hover-horses, but not so much the vehicles/builds really. The mechs & buildable monsters aren't too shabby tho!
  2. 1000x this! Shazam, Phoenix, Bizarro, Spider-Woman, black-suit Spidey, Sam Wilson Cap... yeah.
  3. If past years are any indication, yep! I got my Classic Spaceman that way, I think.
  4. These reveals are not spoilers; they're publicity. There's a difference, even if someone personally considers anything beyond the title & the names of the actors & crew as "spoilers". If you want to avoid publicity, you'll have to just shut off the internet.
  5. If Ideas are allowed to have new molds, then something Gondor-related with the Witch-King upon his fell beast would be my choice, as those are (imo) the most glaring absences in the whole line (I could get greedy and ask for Perrin & Merry in their respective armors, but I won't)
  6. It should! But they don't have the helmet in dark bley yet (which is what it'd be, of course, rather than the old dark grey)... it really should match the halberd he's got. Huzzah! ...I think going full-on wingding with the characters (thus allowing Clay to not look too outta place) would've defeated the purpose of the set, with a basic Crusader soldier... if it'd been a Crusader Knight, they could've gone a little crazier with the lineup of choices (Cedric, Bat Lord, Dragon Master, Jellybean Knights, etc) and then Clay would fit in better, while the actual figure in the set would still make sense with such a lineup.
  7. There's an EW.com article about Rogue One this week, and they're revealing (or rather, confirming) the names of several characters. Reportedly Forest Whitaker's character has a past "Star Wars completists" will recognize once they see his name, tho he looks very different from how we knew him... so that could be part of the reason he's not included in the first wave of Rogue One sets. His name might be revealed in the next few minutes, tho!
  8. I think it's the box art, which the spear is pointing to... depicting a 2013 Castle character while that series is absent on the "Castle thru the years" insert next to the box, nor is it represented by the figure in the box! Maybe? If not that, then the Nexo Knight on the insert, since he's a sci-fi warrior in fancy hi-tech armor unlike all the rest
  9. ...the fact that it was just the CMF Chicken Suit Guy in fancy new packaging! So, great if you missed him, or wanted more chicken suits without buying him on BL, but not so great if you were happy with the one (or however many) you got when he was readily available in the CMFs
  10. If it's an existing face print, it'll be the pikeman from the Army Building set (with the broad-brimmed helmet)... his eyebrows are 'angrier' than soldiers available in the other sets, and seem to match what we see of this new exclusive fig. If he's baring teeth beneath the helmet, that'd be the one.
  11. If you remove the helmet & armor, it's pretty unique... the head might be identical to the other soldiers, not sure yet, but maybe there's a unique expression beneath the helm.
  12. I agree in wanting to see an update to the theme. That little barely-there tease of an updated Black Falcon knight in the Kingdoms Joust set wasn't quite enough! After the recent Castle and the Nexo Knights, it'd be great to have a Kingdoms-style update on the Crusaders & Falcons. Same basic color schemes, but updated detailed prints, updated shields, the fancier emblems, etc (preferably with a set akin to the Mill Village Raid or MMV with lots of new peasants, merchants, nobles even, that could be used for either side!) (then again, I'm still wishing for an expansion of Kingdoms, too, since we never really got the plural part of that name... one kingdom, and however you'd classify the kingless Green Dragons' territory) This is a nice little set tho! 6080 King's Castle was one of my earliest Lego sets, and still one of my faves (just gotta clean the pieces off after years in imperfect storage!)
  13. That's not true! The prints on the torso & legs, at the very least, are unique. Note the orange bits on the blue fields on the torso & rounded part of the legs, the orange bits on the kneepads, the design of the torso armor print, the color arrangement on the leg print.
  14. Most definitely. It's also a good choice for Ahsoka's shoto... trans neon green would be much better for her shoto, but they don't make a 3L bar in that yet.
  15. You could always throw the helmet on, like, Aladdin's head... but you'd lose the white eyes. I'd love to see him get a new figure with updated head (not that it's terribly likely, given the flubs they made with some Star Wars Rebels characters and, y'know, every single clone/Fett with a printed head beneath the helmet), and an "Ultimate Nova" helmet & updated body/leg print...and this time, yellow arms with dark blue hands to reflect the new suit!
  16. Agreed, but there aren't exactly a lot of Lego heads with horseshoe mustaches to use Looked 'em up again just to double-check... Kazim's "fu manchu" mustache, as it's described on Bricklink, is probably the best "horseshoe" mustache available, but his skin's a little darker and the mustache is, of course, black rather than the brown of the guy in the film. Dan Reid from The Lone Ranger has a brown one, and it dips far enough down that it could be a reasonable stand-in for that guy's horseshoe, tho Dan's got a lot of stubble as well.
  17. ...just a wishlist. I'm still miffed about the Death Star Troopers pack, as it contained no "Death Star Troopers". Two Imperial Navy Troopers instead of the Royal Guards would've made it a better pack, tho there are many other variations that could've worked as well. But as it stands, the pack is practically like having an "Imperial Stormtroopers" battle pack containing two Shadow Troopers, a Shocktrooper, and a black-tunic Imperial Officer (often considered as "stormtrooper officers", like Commander Praji). I'd love to see a Rebels-based Imperial Battle Pack with Imperial Engineers (DS Gunner helmets but with a gold emblem; the current grey crew jumpsuit, maybe printed arms with gold emblems--not likely, of course), an Imperial Academy Cadet, or perhaps updated AT-DP & Imperial Combat Drivers with the correct mix of colors (dark bley armor/belt print on both; AT-DP torso, legs, head, and helmet in light bley, Combat Driver helmet & head in dark bley--and appropriate light/dark Imp emblems--with torso & legs in dark pearl grey, ala the Shadow Troopers). Rogue One will hopefully deliver some nice Imperial troop builders... Death Troopers perhaps, regular stormies, maybe a Shoretrooper without the blue arm.
  18. We're not supposed to act as if it's Bren Derlin in a new suit, but one of these other mustachioed Rebels who wore the white suits (pictured alongside Bren, and the Kenner "Rebel Commander" figure who could've stood in for any of them including Derlin) So you could have this guy in the base but separate from Derlin... or put him out in the trenches, fighting off the Empire.
  19. I'd definitely wanna see sets based on properties we already know, so I'd know whether there were updated versions in the near future... I'd be fine seeing new ships & probably most playsets for future movie/TV seasons, but not any spoilery minifigs. Just black 'em out on the images, like on those early ROTJ cards where the Ewoks on the back of the card were blacked out.
  20. They didn't think toys-to-life is profitable for themselves, creating the content internally. That's why all future Disney games will be developed by 3rd parties like EA. WB Interactive/Traveller's Tales could easily become a partner later on, allowing for Disney & Marvel content to appear in Dimensions. Doesn't matter that no such deal was in place when they announced the shutdown of Infinity, nor that we've heard nothing hinting at it since. It's still a possibility, and they might be discussing it right now, with the public not learning of it until documents are signed & trailers/toys are ready to be revealed.
  21. It is...and it's already been shown & discussed pages ago!
  22. I'll try to remember to snap a pic tonight! In the meantime, a couple additions... Talon Karrde, made with a Tony Stark head, Superman hair, a POTC torso (with arms swapped for dark green), and brown legs. And after someone bringing it up the other day, this morning I threw together a custom Kix, after he's awakened from stasis in "The Crimson Corsair & the Lost Treasure of Count Dooku" and joins the Corsair's pirate crew. Panaka head (my go-to "clone head"), pirate bandana, Skiff Guard Lando torso, 501st clone legs, and dark bley hands. I still have to read the full story for myself, so I'm not sure if they ever described what he wore at all.
  23. That's never going to happen. There are 3rd party companies based out of China making Transformers, only they never use the "Transformers" name or the character names, but the bots they produce are clearly characters in the TF IP, whether based on the "Generation 1" family or from modern comics or any other TF source. They don't put Autobot or Decepticon logos on them (tho often mold a shaped space on the chest, shoulders, wings, etc where such a sticker--readily available from other vendors and a times from Hasbro itself--could reside). Hasbro/Takara can't go after the manufacturers. It seems like they've asked a couple big vendors not to carry one or two of the 3rd party toys, or the vendors decided not to carry 'em themselves, but that's been exceedingly rare... and while Hasbro's occasionally 'banned' vendors from selling 3rd party toys at the annual BotCon, they've flip-flopped and I've personally been to two where 3rd party toys were allowed to be sold alongside authentic Hasbro product with no penalties. And they've never, ever sued the consumer for purchasing such things. Such an action wouldn't scare consumers; it'd just anger them. The vast majority of 3rd party TFs cover characters that Hasbro had not tackled in years, not in the formats fans wanted. Hasbro knows this, and tho it took them awhile, they're finally getting around to many of those characters themselves (combiners were exceptionally popular as 3rd party toys, and Headmasters & other such characters that are considered more obscure... so Hasbro decided to tackle their own combiners again in Combiner Wars, which proved very popular, and are tackling Headmasters now as well--they know that 3rd party consumers will likely also buy the much-cheaper official Hasbro versions, so everyone wins). With Lego, many of the bootlegs are characters or versions of characters that Lego hasn't tackled, and may never tackle outside of maybe an SDCC exclusive that only an infinitesimal fraction of Lego fans will ever own. Better a shoddy Bizarro or Mr. Fantastic than no Bizarro or Mr. Fantastic. Even if the bootlegs are of actual characters available in official sets, the quality makes them not worth worrying about. Suing the consumers would accomplish nothing good for Lego. It will never, ever happen.
  24. No; I think the only members of the crew were Sidon & Quiggold themselves. So any actual Kix figure post-TCW would have to wait until they possibly (tho not likely) reappear in Episode VIII or IX, or (more likely) pop up in some animated series set around the time of the sequel trilogy, eventually.
