  1. What about this? Ummmm whoops that is distinctly not the photo I picked.
  2. Im getting tad curious as to the story. And looking foreward to humanoid villians
  3. I remember someone saying POF is shorted in parts, I'm thinking that Lego may balance part use over the whole line, meaning some sets may have more and others have less to balance it. Especially when you compare POF with POI
  4. His shoulder armor is the best! especially when powered up!
  5. No sign of sets in ATL. (I know its early)
  6. I like the modeling skill here, but the fingers and thumbs easily slide off in this design, adding walls to the top and bottom wouldn't hurt the design too much, but that leaves us with no way to attach a weapon....perhaps we should look at the one previous 3 finger open hand design that snaps to a cross axle.
  7. Finished, there a lots of placeholders here, I'll just have to wait till Bionicle is released now. :D
  8. There I was motivated to sketch it, 3 fingers are optimal and would fit most existing Herofactory and Bionicle sets and MOCs without looking to big. the design is reversable and locks the fingers in so they don't slide off. thumb goes on top or bottom. this is a rough sketch.
  9. The finger slots should be closed and I think the thumb bar should be on the top and bottom of the wrist with a cross hole in the center for holding weapons. That would fix the mold issues too
  10. The colors are super striking, I'll probably get him.
  11. The desert picture looks awesome, imagining stop motion movie there
  12. That looks uber complicated. How long have you been perfecting him.
  13. Some real Bionicle there nice proportions
  14. Found a couple of parts that really complete the back. I also worked on his saw / shield.
  15. I was thinking of using a chi pull back racer arm. To cover the mid back. But I'd cost $20 for a set with trans light, just to test... Unless its in LDD, its not right? The back of the head is offensively flat, that's why I'm going for the hood, its far back enough not get in the way of the head...
  16. Awesome thanks for a the idea! didnt even think of that. :D I had an elaborate build prior. I figured there was a simple solution, just changing that piece and rotating the Earth build seemed most efficient.
  17. I've been Spamming the Bionicle 2015 thread with attempts at a compact build that utilizes the Fire Protector's chest build. I believe I have finally succeeded. I invite others to show their alternate builds! BTW I don't have a protector yet, I'm still waiting. This is the back of course.. I was happy to be able to fit in a hood shell to sit behind the head and break up that neck area.
  18. he's gorgeous, put some elbows on him please
  19. Works well enough unless you like to pose your model a lot. The problem is the rotor won't fit doubled up so I had to use another half width lift arm, this leaves the neck sockets (I'm learning) to be secured with technic cross pins (the blue, half swivel half cross pin, would secure it better but no room for that because I can't double the technic rotor). That leaves it secure but with a tiny bit of space in its connection to the rotor which after repeated posing will lead to it loosening. But yeah I was initially super satisfied with that. Pushing the arms back one plate would be a solution, but looks not well proportioned. Has anyone built the base skeleton from scratch? I think I'll give that a shot.
  20. What do you mean by Hordika vs Glatorian necks? I ordered 4 of the rotor parts, (the pearl grey and the light bluish gray) is Bluish gray newer than 08? Wow the Axalara T9 is Amazing! I wasn't into Bionicle at the time, clearly I was missing out....of course I didn't have a good job either. ...After further fiddling not so sturdy after all. That was my best shot though. I'll enjoy the original P-Fire design and I'll Focus on improving the weapons in the P-Ice set. Forgive my obsessive compulsiveness.
  21. It was an unnecessary axle. Here this is more like it: I already ordered the parts and tested for rigidity. Seems fine, I intend to put those new bionicle add-on armors in white over the upper arms and chest. The essential part is the Technic rotor I see only light bluish grey or pearl grey on Bricklink unfortunately.
  22. okay, I tried again, still wanting to use the Protection of Fire chest build, but now with more compact shoulders and a mount for shell behind the neck. Color coded because of slight complexity. I think you'll like it. Bricklinked the rotor piece (very rare)
  23. Check my previous model, elbows added and slight extension of legs to balance it. Chi Cragger 2014 has the necessary small ball and socket joint...ordered mine from amazon. I might keep the thrusted chest, I have to see how those new pieces fit in hand before I know for sure. Protector of Ice has a nice collared design that only works with normal torso. Its impressive, because you can tell much thought went into the designs by the constraints they pose to modding.
  24. that i did not know! back to work :D that sure makes it difficult to get a shell on the back :(
  25. This is probably off topic, but I've been pre-mod-ing and I managed to get a shell on the back of the protector of fire shoulder build :D Obviously missing new bionicle pieces not yet in LDD You would need pin 11214 for the rear shell
