  1. Ahah Pahatu is using silver for his armor shells, am I right? So he's the one I want tgen. :)
  2. What metallic is protector of ice's feet? Ah I see now Gali is using silver for her torso plate and new bionicle armor...the rest is titanium. :/ I guess it looks fitting on her. The protector feet are usually silver I take it. Sometimes hard to see the difference in photos.
  3. I just realized Gali has those silver metallic shells that I must have. Has anyone noticed that no one on Brick Link carries large quantities of Hero Factory bones? No one has yet purchased any of these sets yet right?
  4. Hey I'm not going to ever criticize the work done for me - for free. I do prefer pictures every time, but I'll watch a review of something I'm obsessed with. Hopefully Lego is getting good feed back on what we liked about this line up, if it translates into high sales volume then we both win. I'm hoping for more complicated smaller sets and nicer masks, and more transparent / opaque combo shells. Btw. My efforts at putting the gearbox on the back of a protector snagged. The prebuilt gear box forces you to use larger gears, and the custom gear boxes I found and modified severely limit chest shell placement. Let me know if someone has a even more compact solution :)
  5. is the protector of jungle also protector of air ???
  6. The major villian should be The Corrupted Master of Air, Plasma, or lightning...using a similar mask as the Spiders.
  7. The defender masks are much more interesting than the clear mask. It doesn't look all that great attached either.
  8. Good point so add 3 slots for bionicle arms as fingers and one more slot for the thumb
  9. I propose a new 2 piece hand where the thumb can be oriented as left or right positioned. The back of the thumb would plug into palm / wrist, so as to remain interchangeable.
  10. The only ones I don't like are: Onua, Pohatu, Protector of water (good part pack though), Protector of rock (looks good but don't like the color combo) I must have....in order: Protector of Ice Protector of Fire Lewa (shoulder build and silver talons) Gali (the silver fins have uses as wings) Protector of water (maybe)
  11. Each set has something intriguing: 1.) Lewa's shoulder build 2.) Kapaka's Calf build 3.) Protector of Fire chest build 4.) Protector Earth's chest build 5.) Gali's Gearbox 6.) Onua's shoulder build 7.) Tahu's shoulder build The designers were very inspired!
  12. Since they didn't release the last chi figures stateside it would seem to me that the shelves would be mostly clear for the Bionicle relaunch. Even the last Hero Factory figures are hard to find on my side of town.
  13. Happened to me at Walmart with Transformers....I bought it on Amazon same day.
  14. These guys are in full production....you think we might see these hit shelves earlier?
  15. I cracked the code: -> Gearbox on a protector skeleton. I can't test it though I don't have the pieces, borrowed the gear box style from Kopaka and the gearbox itself, from a member of Eurobricks. The shoulders have end stops. Strangely, I'm starting to appreciate the original compact protector design even more.
  16. For the first time, i'm looking at the bigger sets as parts for the smaller sets. Bravo Lego! I think Lego is taking its time making bad guys...hoping for Black and Red humanoid.
  17. Protector of Stone looks better than I thought, as does water...uhoh, I want a few of these.
  18. those flipper pieces look very interesting :)
  19. Its exactly what I expected from that set. I do like that they used gears in the grabbing mechanism... I'm not impressed with the chest face, I think the chest face takes away from it...not that I have a better idea for how to design his head. http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2848/11925697874_5fd0a7b8e0_c.jpg Oops a spidery head has been executed better this year... Would have cost a bit more though.
  20. I would be highly surprised if LOSS didn't pegwarm, as nice as everything else is.
  21. you spotted the limitations as I did :) These small but remarkable differences in the skeleton on these small sets make them so much more interesting than any previous sets.
  22. I did some LDD experiments, I highly doubt I can squeeze gearbox on the back of one of the Protectors without it being awkward, probably still try it though. There are interesting constraints on the Builds of fire and earth shoulders.
  23. I just noticed that the Protector of Earth has the optimum shoulder placement, allowing for elbow implementation without making other adjustments. I also like the trans-purple bones with knee and elbow locks... I don't think we have that piece in other transparent colors. ....have you experimented with putting a gear box on a protector? These little guys are Awesome!
  24. Thanks you're awesome for that!!!!
  25. I'm all in on the protector of ice, getting two and a going to try to smush a gear box on his back and add elbows at the least....may require lengthening his legs a tiny bit, and extended his shoulders for balance....getting fire and earth for technique and parts. Protector of fire and earth have extended shoulders, what pieces do you think they are using?
