  1. And on that, you need to update your signature once the toucan drops :)
  2. I did look at the pic and think it looked ‘different’, but I’m trying not to get my hopes up. For what it’s worth I think it’s still the same grey, but the eyes do look different from normal. Paws crossed. (I have a blue eyed Siberian husky cross)
  3. I would love a CMF with an assistance dog, and hope we get one. That said, I think it would also fall foal, sorry ‘foul’, of the same arguments others are making on this thread about ‘city type’ figures.
  4. Trying to imagine an Australian Aborigine in Lego yellow gives me the fear… I do agree that an ‘outback’ setting would make for some fun sets. Have suggested before something like ‘Outback Rescue’ or ‘Outback Vets’. Could make use of the normal array of vehicles, some scenery builds, and some existing animals (snake, parrot, crocagators) and would only need a couple of new animal moulds (🦘🐨) to make it work.
  5. I mean, all this discussion really shows is that the CMF line continues to deliver different things, for different people. Many of the figures lots if people on here get giddy about I really don’t have much interest in either 🤷🏽‍♂️
  6. I just don’t see the hate for either the foal girl, or the jungle explorer/birdwatcher. To me BOTH are fine enough figures, and made of great parts, and they come with copious accessories - including the amazing new animals. I get that people like what they like, and want what they want, but maybe -just maybe- Lego has done some research and found that these sorts of figures are popular with kids? Also don’t think a CMF needs to be a specific, or agreed, or known archetype to exist. Like when was a space miner a thing? Or a guy dressed as a Venus fly trap? Love love love that this series seems to be walking the walk a little with some explicit diversity (two older people figures, and the wheelchair athlete), as well as the gender parity. excited for these figures and better pics.
  7. Sure, we only exist to serve.
  8. I take the opposite view - think it’s great that they are stretching the ability of the minifigure parts to create such an alien face, from existing parts.
  9. It’s a big open mouth, showing the tongue, no?
  10. I seem to remember someone getting them by calling in, maybe?
  11. Is the new foal reddish-brown in colour? Or is it a new colour of horse? Finding it hard to make exact colour matches with the CMF22 images we have seen. I guess that’s one if the reasons that they don’t like shonky leaked photos!
  12. Agreed. I’d also love to see them do a proper pony (ideally Shetland) at some point, in the same way that Friends recently did. by the way - the toucan is pretty clearly a ‘toco toucan’ species.
  13. Nope And a squirrel is more comparable with a rat/ mouse / rabbit in this context anyways, surely?
  14. Chihuahua? Baby chimp? Rat? Mouse? Cat? Dolphin? Monkey? French bulldog? Terrier? Rabbit? Skunk?
  15. Was just coming here to say that. I think it is. And that would firmly place it in the neither/both male or female category 😜🐌 It’s an acorn. Looks like the cloak is also shaped like an oak leaf And I think leaks often have weird colour resolution, I expect it’s better in real life
  16. If it doesn’t turn up in one of the City sets, my bet is that the horses that do will be reddish brown to ‘match’ the foal
  17. I don’t know. I think the thing is that everyone has their own opinions and likes with these series. I wouldn’t go by the comments of others. knowing what you like, I guess you’ll like four or five figures straight away. The new animals are great. There are some figures with amazing parts - such as the moon knight, snow warrior, jungle explorer and even the girl with the foal, which I’m sure will be better appreciated in real life! And that wheelchair racer figure is actually pretty amazing. As to the ‘juniorising’ of figures, while I don’t necessarily think it’s that true, I think it also has to be taken in the round. Firstly - we have less ‘normal’ CMFs, so we perhaps expect a lot more from them than is possible, and, clearly, ‘cute’ figures work for kids. Secondly, in the wider world of mire licenced series, there are undoubtedly more very specific, adult, and often ‘less happy’ faces (which Lego is criticised for),so that is also ‘offset’ by some cuter, happier standard CMF figures.
  18. Agreed. The husky is a point in case. Can anyone work out what the alien has on its back? Also - that wee mushroom face 🥺
  19. That would make sense. And you’re right, they have to ‘offset’ the mould-heavy moulded head series FWIW i don’t crave new moulds for new moulds’ sake. Unless they’re animals or hairpieces …
  20. They really do. Foal is a nice update, and that toucan is beautiful. Slightly puzzled that the husky didn’t even merit a recolour, but hey ho.
  21. Does seem light on new parts. My gender count is 5 female, 5 male, a robot and and an alien … so that’s parity, I think Common names and nomenclature are always fuzzy. Try going to Iceland and pointing out that their horses should be called ponies
  22. Agreed - quite excited to see a Lego school bus Also think the lifeguard station could be pretty novel
  23. I love its wee face. Bit worried about the butt tattoo though …
