  1. Video's title has just been changed on LEGO facebook page.
  2. My son (12yo) will get ones soon as it comes out and he is not spoiled rotten. Haha?
  3. Congratulations for this impressive bb8!
  4. What a nice pile of bricks! is it finished?
  5. It looks good, but I must agree with the two comments right before mine. It would look better in black, with longer legs!
  6. I just bough the instructions and I am going to build this one! First, sorting out the parts I already have. I will report again later. Has anyone tried building a detachable container? any difficulties encountered, or any reason why not?
  7. I have sent you an email...I cannot believe I will be building this one! can we get the parts list in advance?
  8. Congratulations...wow!
  9. Wow! I was in London yesterday, and I just missed getting it (looks like it is available today in London...)
  10. Hi guys! this CN engine is mine! and I really like it! I am from Canada and it reminds me of my childhood. I printed the stickers myself at home. I had bought some off eBay but they looked way too pink and I could not use them. So, do not buy those off eBay. I do not remember who the seller was but he never aknowledged the important color inaccuracy of his stickers (even though I had sent him clear pictures of the color problem...he said my bricks were the wrong red, not his stickers...) The white stickers are just plain white sticker sheets that I cut with an X-acto. Oh, and the base is black, I just applied one long, thin yellow sticker on each side of the plate.
  11. I found this on the web, Though I am not sure if this is new info or not.
  12. Nice description of the of the difficulties met while gathering the needed parts to built this awesome model. I've built it recently, and the hardest part for me was to get it to stand on its legs...In my opinion, this is where an update would be welcome (make the legs much more stable). But, hey, even the real thing looks like it is ready to fall if it winds a little too much...I can only imagine what Darth Vader did to those engineers who designed it...
  13. I have replaced those with the older light gray ones, and the different color fits nicely (for the head).
  14. No issues for me with the head/neck and body. Here is a WIP pic:
  15. That's it. I wish I had this picture before doing the mod...I strongly suggest this minor modification to anyone building this AT AT, It maks the head much more poseable and realistic!
  16. I just modified the neck to include a "knee joint" so the head doesn't move from left to right so easily. I will post the pic when I find it.
  17. Glue?...maybe, we'll see.
  18. Hi...reviving this thread. my son and I started building our AT AT a few weeks ago. The project was on hold for a while, but after purchasing the pdf version designed by member cjd223, I decided to move forward. I will post pics as soon as I get back home. With cjd223's instructions, building is as easy as building any official UCS lego model, once you have sorted the pieces, that is. Wow...this thing is huge! pics to come.
  19. Hi! I bought those instructions a few months ago. I bought all the pieces tu build this chef d'oeuvre about a year and a half ago, but was expecting for instructions like those to appear... I must say, those instructions are GREAT! they are (almost) as easy to read and follow as some original LEGO instructions. There are a few mistaks here and there, but nothing worrisome at all. So far, my son (9) has built the head and neck, the four legs, the internal frame and underbody. No problem at all following the instructions. Wow, this model will be awesome. Thanks for those incredible instructions! they are well worth the price.
  20. Hi. I have ordered all the parts needed to built this model a year ago. You seem (so far) to be the only on commenting on the quality of those instructions. Have you started building the at-at with those instructions? Do the instructions really help? I must admit I haven't even started building this great model using the ldd files alone...I was expecting some instructions to come out!
  21. I received my ME tracks a few months ago and overall I am very happy with what I got. I purchased some large radius curves (kickstart) and some double lenght straight tracks (directly from MEs website). The quality of those tracks while not perfect, is more than adequate and they fit perfectly with the LEGO ones. The clutch power of the ME parts is not on par with real LEGO bricks, and I had to use glue so that each track section becomes a single part, just like the original LEGO ones. Since my kids and I like to constantly modify our setup, glue had to be used: it was too much of a hassle repairing each track section all the time (they fall apart very easily, for example, if you drop a ME straight track on a hard floor from a height of 10-12 inches, it will happen). Of course, glue is unnecessary if your layout is a fixed one. I am more than happy to have large radius curves! now, my Horizon Express can run at full speed without derailing!
  22. What a cool entry! congratulations!
  23. Thanks for that clarification, as I will begin my build shortly, the files I got from cavegod recently should be ok, then.
