whoa... i didn't know this thread still existed. haha... ya, the pictures are gone. these x-men were my first customs, and i've deleted the pictures so I would never be reminded of their poor quality. sorry.

it's not as playable as the stuff you get from brickforge... it's still pretty durable.

somehow... i think this is the most possible idea. the disney princesses are a billion dollar franchise for disney, i can definitely see it being released... but maybe in a belville-style as opposed to system sets. i wish for these figs though. if lego can sell minifig packs of classic disney characters, i would empty my bank account. haha

Technically... Atlantis is just another one of those "underwater themes"... so there are some recurring factors to the themes that LEGO seems to bring back over and over again. But I think that LEGO should do what they did with Knight Kingdom regarding Ben 10. I would love to see their minifig take on the aliens, they would be great if LEGO kept to the standards of the new Space Police figs. The modern look of "anime hair" from the human characters will also do wonders for city themes regarding variety. They should just release 3 or 4 system sets to go along with these "Bionicles".

I'm pretty sure I'm going to clean out my bank account on these sets. I absolutely LOVE the new headpieces. Prince Dastan's hair can be put to great use for a rock band fig. And Princess Tamina has provided me with the best hair for my Aladdin Jasmine fig!

Truth is, I agree entirely with you on the sets being bad. However, you can't blame LEGO for it, they have a very nice business strategy. Bionicles are very popular among kids and preteens. However, Bionicles are relatively cheap. Lego Ben 10 is basically a series of "licensed" Bionicles. Since licenses are more expensive, LEGO could market them like Bionicles, then they have a money-maker on their hands. These sets were clearly not released for the AFOL demographics.... just because you don't like them doesn't mean LEGO can't make them. Besides, the reason you don't like them is probably because it's whole design wasn't made to target your market, it's also the same reason LEGO still releases Belville and DUPLO. There's always a market out there, it just isn't always yours. Plus, I don't think LEGO is intentionally scrapping Pirates and Castle. Pirates and Castle have been released periodically over the years, and every few years they go on a hiatus, and later return with a bang. Pirates and Castle are money makers, LEGO isn't going to scrap them. It's the themes like Atlantis and Power Miners that won't return once they are scrapped. Just wait a few years and more sets will be released. ~tin7

hopefully ostrich race is a smaller set making less expensive, and by race, i also assume that there is more than one ostrich in the set... i'll buy so many that i'll have an army of ostrich riders. haha.

i assumed so. cause the Cairo Ambush set for Indy has the same content (4 figs plus two built objects)...is around $13.99CAD...

the army men seems to be the smallest set of the theme... i hope it's within the $1X range... i wouldn't mind buying a few of these if they were.

i agree that it will never be the same again. I'm pretty sure Disney will try to tone down Marvel comics. and they have so much crap to deal with too: 1) Marvel theme park in Orlando Universal Studios 2) Fox and Sony own Marvel movie rights; who are both Disney's competitors.... etc etc etc It's a steal for Disney, but what does it mean for Marvel... And since it's Disney, I don't doubt the fact that they might start putting Zac Efron in Marvel movies.....

People who want the Lego Marvel sets back may now have their dreams come true. I just read this earlier: http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/07c7233c-9633-11...144feabdc0.html Summary: In a $4 billion deal, The Walt Disney Company has purchased Marvel Entertainment and the rights to all of Stan Lee's characters; including Spider-Man, X-Men, Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, Fantastic Four etc etc. Disney always builds upon it's franchises, maybe we'll see some of Marvel's characters come back to Lego through their Disney license? So far, only Dakota Fanning's Jane Volturi has been seen extensively in trailers/screenshots, so I made a minifig of Jane Volturi: With Hood: Without Hood: Here is a 3-side view of her Sculpey hair: The face decal was made by me, the torso was modified from something I found on flickr, and the hairpiece is another one of my Sculpey creations. *Note: Jane's face was the only thing that showed in the trailers etc. So the torso design is just something I thought would "fit" her character. I will continue to post new minifigs from this series as more screenshot/promotional photos are released! Hope you all like it! ~tin7

It's Quentin Tarantino, it's like Kill Bill all over again. I thought it was relatively good for a Tarantino production, better than Grindhouse: Death Proof, but in no way comparable to Pulp Fiction. Of course, everyone has different tastes, maybe these types of films just don't really appeal to you.
