  1. You're right... it is May 1. I confused the date with one of my final exams.
  2. No problem, I've been dying for the set to arrive so I can finish the fig. Did you find it on ebay too?
  3. HA! Neither have I, the movie is not out yet, in theatres May 10.
  4. I know what you mean. These claws are very distinct. I actually first saw them @ my friends house, and he said they came with a Wolverine Mega Bloks set. Thus, I scoured all the Toysrus in Vancouver but couldn't find anything. Apparently these sets were still in stores Summer 2008. I resorted to ebay, and only found 1 of these on sale.
  5. The claws? I had to order that Wolverine set off ebay, had it shipped to me from Australia. I couldn't find the claws by themselves, had to buy the whole set. Built it, hated it, never used it. Doesn't seem like a waste either, despite the heavy shipping costs.
  6. I can probably chop the end of this piece and just use the 3 claws in the front, but then it'll look crude, and also, there's nothing for the fig to hold onto the claws. The Mega Bloks actually worked much better than I expected on this fig.
  7. This isn't Disney This is Wolverine from the X-Men movies, although the look is based more on the one from X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The face decal is my own design, and the claws... they're from Mega B***s, I'm just deluding myself that I made them with Sculpey Front: Side: I should be making the remaining characters as the movie nears release. Enjoy! ~tin7
  8. I'M BACK! This time I bring The Genie from Disney's Aladdin (1992). The head was made with Sculpey, the head is Version #2, the first one got destroyed in the curing process (the first one looked better). Again like the King Louie head from last time, this head is much too big. However, I think adding the 1x1 plates to his feet, increasing his height actually helped it look more natural. It still looks EXTREMELY weird! The decal was also done by me, I originally planned to use a face decal, but decided to go with the character head instead. Genie: Enjoy! ~tin7
  9. if this ever came out, i would so buy it.
  10. I mentioned a few weeks back that I was working on a King Louie, and he's finally done! Here's King Louie: Front Side The Sculpey head turned out horribly. All the facial features are correct (exactly like the picture and quite recognizable), but the proportions are completely wrong, that's why the fig looks kind of weird. Now if only I had some type of shrink ray The decal was the one I made a few weeks back. I was really going to post him with Baloo (just like how Baloo and King Louie always appear together at Disneyland), but I ran out of Sculpey and haven't had the time to buy any yet. I'll make Baloo soon, I promise! Enjoy! ~tin7
  11. That information has been around for ages. They start filming later this year, but I doubt they'll make LEGO sets now, because the first 2 didn't do so well (although I loved them). Plus, there's not much to make, since the movie is based on the first season of Avatar, LEGO has seen the episodes for Season 1 already, but they only chose to make two sets, why would they remake something they have already done? Plus, I don't think LEGO is going to sign anymore licenses. They still have Indy, Star Wars, and I hope Batman appears in 2010, and of course the newly acquired Disney, and the release of LEGO Universe, PLUS their own castle, space, pirates lines. I doubt they would have time for more. Unless of course the Spongebob license (or is it a Nickolodeon license) also allows them to work with Avatar, then there might be some hope. Not to burst your bubble or anything, I'm a huge fan of avatar too, I hope they make characters like Toph and Azula into minifigs. But realistically? Doesn't seem possible, or profitable, it would just be Speed Racer all over again.
  12. Oh, this is cute. I like the toy in the corner. great design ~tin7
  13. so from what you're saying, you mean that there are no exact dimensions to printing arm decals?
  14. This new fig is actually one of my favourite Disney characters. It would also be one of my favourite figs if the sculpey head turned out better and the arm decals actually fit. Thus I give you: Tigger! There's no possible way to fix the head without making another one, but I could at least fix the arms. Does anyone know the EXACT dimensions of the arms so that the decal (in my case labels) will wrap completely around the arm? Enjoy! ~tin7
  15. I've been trying to create a Tinkerbell fig for my Disney collection, however 2 problems have arisen for me: 1) Tinkerbell's hair with the "bun" on the back. I don't think there are any official pieces like that from Lego. I thought of molding a blond bun out of sculpey and gluing it onto Willie Scotts hair, but I only have one copy of that, and I don't want to ruin it. Anyone have any suggestions? 2) Tinkerbell's wings. Are there any transparent lego pieces that are like fairy wings? Thanks for any help or ideas! ~tin7
  16. wish i had the skill to create figs like these. ~tin7
  17. Actually... the decal itself is dark red. But there's something wrong with my printer, and the colours usually come out lighter than I intend them to, so it looks like a light brown colour.
  18. I'm on a roll this week (I love term break, gives me more time to make figs). The newest addition are Ariel and Eric from The Little Mermaid (1989). Ariel: Eric: Ariel is my favourite Disney character (hottest of the Disney princesses!) So I made a little vignette for her as well: The decals for both characters were done by me. ~tin7
  19. Thank you so much for the compliment, it means a lot. Sort of gave up on the mold thing though.
  20. it's probably just a prototype anyway... let's hope they paint it when the actual product arrives.
  21. Deadpool is one of my all time favourite characters in the X-Men Universe. Here's my own recreation of Deadpool based on this promotional picture from the new movie: Here's the LEGO version, decals by TriUmp: This picture is of him without the mask (which is on the ground). ~tin7
  22. in comparison? mine are probably much much worse.
  23. In commemoration of this wonderful event, I decided to customize 2 characters from Toy Story 2. In the movie, Woody has a show called Woody's Roundup, and the characters were made into toys, I made these characters (minus the horse). Stinky Pete: Jessie: Unfortunately, I don't have a red cowboy hat, so the Jessie hat was photoshoped into that particular colour. The whole gang: Now, if anyone is willing to teach me how to make the horse, I will gladly do so! Enjoy! ~tin7
  24. these are beautiful. ~tin7
