You're absolutely right... i did not use a primer; it took FOREVER to apply the yellow, I had to paint about 500 layers I'm still quite new to the whole painting thing, so I'm learning new things all the time; plus, I use acrylic paint, which is horrible in this situation. As for Ash; He's not actually completed... I'm going to make a new headpiece for him after I finish making the 3 starters, the headpiece just looks kind of "off"... it's a bit too big... which is why I just randomly used a head instead of a decal head; this post was mainly to showcase Pikachu, not Ash.

I do plan on making Team Rocket; after I finish the 3 starters and Misty. I plan to make more, at least all the main characters from all the series so far. Good idea; I'll make a Chansey too, to go with the Nurse Joy. Mew might be on the list, but unfortunately, Charizard will not. The 3 starters I'm already working on; as of this message, I've finished sculpting Bulbasaur (just need to add the eyes) Everything I make is from Sculpey; what I usually do, is boil the Sculpey, then use an exacto knift to "shave" off excess bits. Of course, most of the texture you see on the Pikachu is from the paint, I use acrylic paint, I should find a water-based color instead... I do have the decal for Ash's original outfit; but the thing is, his hat is different, meaning I'll have to make a whole new headpiece... I'll try and get to it ASAP... but once school starts up from break... Of course it's 2 studs long, Pikachu is on all fours, and he's "stretched out", poised for attack! Alright, I just spent the better part of 3 days making this creation; it is officially the HARDEST piece I've ever made. I bring you Ash and Pikachu from Pokemon. Ash The hair and hat for Ash is made with Sculpey, and hand painted. The decal is my own design, based on his newest costume in the anime series. Pikachu A minifig scale Pikachu; inspired by the LEGO rat. The piece is entirely made of Sculpey and hand painted. It is the same size as the LEGO rat. I plan to make more Pokemon figures; any suggestions? Hope everyone enjoys! ~tin7

I need to buy at least 4 of the Quidditch Sets.... just to get enough of those costumes for a quidditch team... my complain for those sets: not enough torsos.

i hope they have the awards for special services that were awarded to Tom Riddle, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley (Book 2)... put those right next to James Potter's shield!!

just a question; does anyone know if the Luna fig has a double sided head? although i like the SpectreSpecs... it just doesn't seem right if she's wearing them ALL the time.

somehow; with the amount of figs we are getting; I think LEGO might have made a list of figs, and found a bunch of them left over, so then just stick them into sets where they might appear "suitable"... because Voldemort and Dumbledore have never been @ Hogwarts at the same time... Luna wasn't mentioned when the Ford Anglia was around etc (maybe that's why luna doesn't have a Hogwart's uniform? since book 2 is her first year)... But I really wish they would've made the twins though, would've been quite easy; and Tonks too... and 12 Grimmauld Place.

It doesn't look a lot like the movie character; however, I like it, the decal fits very well with the comic book version. You should make one in flesh!

That's so [insert choice expletive here]!!! But then, if the first wave is successful, I'm hoping that LEGO will make a second wave; since there IS a movie tie-in set in this wave (The Burrow=Half-Blood Prince). I'd like sets depicting Malfoy's Manor and the Ministry of Magic from Book 7... fingers crossed

correct me if i'm wrong; but I remember the press release saying that there will be sets for Deathly Hallows Part 1, as well as Deathly Hallows Part 2 in 2011... the ones we see right now are for Part 1 then? Does this mean there will be a second wave release in 2011 for Part 2?

i believe that it WOULD have green flames; maybe it's the technic mechanism; can flip the flames from orange to green?

hmmm... we're only missing one head of house in these sets... Snape for Slytherin, Flitwick for Ravenclaw, McGonagall for Gryffindor; I don't remember who the head of house of Hufflepuff is though... I think it was Prof. Sprout... I would prefer they add more professors and death eaters as opposed to giving us dementors...

i'm actually quite surprised though; with the Burrow being one of the most discussed and anticipated sets... we get the least pictures of it... hope more new photos show up soon.

to be fair; most of these sets are remakes, and many people were quite pessimistic about how they would turn out. i think that except for hagrid's hut, all of the sets turned out better than expected.

only harry, ron, hermione, ginny, malfoy, and luna in the hogwarts express set... sorry! though i'm suprised Ginny actually appears in 2 sets.

how much are the Quidditch sets again? I need to buy at least 4 of those to make a Quidditch team... my wallet is already leaking; I'm actually setting aside roughly 500 CAD to spend on HP sets... meaning that I will be in poverty for the next 8 months

even if it is to cover a minifig... the minifig is still invisible; so in essence, that's still an "invisibility cloak". I'm pretty sure the fig next to Dumbledore is Flitwick..
