The Twilight Saga
tin7_creations replied to tin7_creations's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I actually have all the Volturi done. But only "prototype" figs... -
My girlfriend forced the DVD upon my eyes, and somehow converted me to a Twilight fan. Thus I have done the inevitable: just when you think he can't appear in anything else, I bring you the Robert Pattinson minifig (plus the rest of his movie family). The Cullen Family: Edward Cullen: Bella Swan: Alice Cullen: Jasper Hale: Emmett Cullen: Rosalie Hale: Carlisle Cullen: Esme Cullen: All the decals were made by myself, and the Rosalie and Carlisle hairpieces were coloured in Photoshop, Jasper hairpiece was spray painted. Enjoy! ~tin7

the torso is great, would it be too much trouble to make the face too? in flesh? thanks.
-
this is a really good representation. dingy and cozy at the same time. good work. wish lego made this when they did chamber of secrets.
-
face, torso and hair are all from the new Agents set: 8970 Robo Attack.
-
nice idea, but i think they look more like some type of weird dress...
-
pictures would be nice. but i assume the epaulettes are the cover of the drum, what would you use to make the base of it? cuz you know... drums aren't flat

Hiya! Just wondering if someone can make me the torso and face decal for Carl Fredricksen from Disney/Pixar's UP. Here's a picture for reference: http://www.wallpaperez.net/wallpaper/movie...icksen-1846.jpg I would prefer it in flesh please, thanks so much. ~tin7

of course u can use the idea for zsasz. as for harley's hair... i was aiming for blonde when a chose the color... it just turned out a bit of a "dirty blonde" color after curing the sculpey. plus the photograph does not do justice to the fig.

I just watched The Dark Knight again, and it brought back my frenzy for creating it in LEGO. Here is my "Nolan" interpretation of 12 villains from, or could possibly exist in The Dark Knight, as well as who I would like to see portray them. The Joker and The Scarecrow: Both of these are just the movie version (Heath Ledger, Cillian Murphy), nothing special. Headgears are Sculpey, and decals for Joker are by TriUmp on flickr. The Riddler: The decal is by ED-209, the hat is made with Sculpey. And let us all pretend that this is Johnny Depp. Catwoman (aka. Mrs. Brad Pitt): The headgear is actually this part: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=30171 I added Sculpey cat ears onto the helmet. The decal is just a modification of the original LEGO Catwoman torso. Harley Quinn: I would love to see Kristen Bell portray her. The hair is made with Sculpey, and the decals are all my design. The Penguin: The decal is my own design, and the hat was spray painted purple. I'm a "go with the flow" type of person, so if everyone says Phillip Seymour Hoffman should be The Penguin, then so be it. Poison Ivy: The decal is my own design, and leaves very little to the imagination. I nominate Amy Adams for the role. Black Mask: The only purist fig in the collection. Anyone watch V for Vendetta? I though Hugo Weaving did a pretty good job of portraying the man behind the mask, so he should do it here too. Mr. Zsasz: The decal is my own design. Paul Bettany was quite unforgettable in the very forgettable The Da Vinci Code. His character put scars on his body too! The Terrible Trio: I envisioned them as Chinese triad leaders with tattoos of their respective animals on their torso; so cast some Chinese guys. Decals are my own. Group Shot!! Hope you enjoyed it! Stay tuned for the WIP Ra's al Ghul, Two-Face, Bane, and Hugo Strange. ~tin7

Great stuff! Just wondering though, where the Penguin torso came from. Is it a set or custom?

The Boy Wonder and The Terrible Trio

I thought about putting these in the Licensed thread, but chose to stick them here instead. Here's my version of Nolan style Bat-figs. Robin: This is my Robin, I made the decal myself based on a design I saw on some website. The Terrible Trio: I always liked these under-used minor villains in Batman's Rogue Gallery. However, in Nolan-verse, I would recreate them as Chinese triad gang leaders (as Nolan seemed to like using Chinese in TDK). Also, they no longer wear the corny masks; instead, they sport tattoos of their respective animals on their torso. I give you Fox, Shark, and Vulture! and... once they lose the suit... ... they become the fearsome and ruthless triad leaders that make one cower at their feet! Enjoy! ~tin7 -

There wasn't any concept art. But they did make a figurine of it for the Spider-Man 3 toy collection, he's also in the Spider-Man 3 Movie game, here's a picture: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41ST...L500_AA280_.jpg -

I just added the decals to my flickr, you can go link them from here. -
I thought about putting this in the Licensed Theme section, but most of these minifigs are custom. Here's The Terrible Ten: Here's a close-up of the villains: Green Goblin: From the set. Doc Ock: From the set. The Rhino: Re-imagined with a huge exo-hardsuit, and a Sculpey helmet. The Vulture: Re-imagined with the wings coming from his back instead of his arms. The Lizard: Killer Croc in a killer lab coat. I made a Sculpey tail for him too, but it doesn't show up in this picture. Kraven the Hunter: Based off the movie design, minus the ponytail. Venom: My own decals. Sandman: Decals by ED-209 Electro: Based on the Ultimate version of Electro plus hair. Mysterio: My pride and joy. The decal is by myself, and I spray painted the armor. Further descriptions of the figs are in my Flickr album, so please visit here. Enjoy! ~tin7

movie style. it doesn't really show up after i print it though (kind of pissed me off).

I was quite disappointed when I went to the Index to find that there aren't any Venom decals. I was so disappointed, that I decided to contribute my own. LuxorV, feel free to add these to the Index. Enjoy! ~tin7

I really don't mind the game... as long as Lego will develop actual sets for it. I don't mind 1 or 2 rock band sets, with the amps and the guitars... we need more instruments.
-
I think these are the Lego electronics series coming out later this year. I heard they target younger people. I would buy the USB memory sticks and speakers though.. and maybe the alarm clock.
-
I have 'em all. When the theme came out, I can just imagine the Power Miners saying: "Gotta Catch'em All!" Therefore, I caught 'em for them.

I'm Canadian, but I go home to Hong Kong every summer. The Lego there... Toysrus have them (but the sets are not as new as you would find in America, I went back into May 2008, and they were still selling the first batch of Exo-Force, so that kinda gives you a general idea of their stock). There are plenty of stores there that don't sell full sets, they are more like Bricklink and sell figs and other pieces separately. These stores are really run-down and small, some are in the edgy areas, so unless you know where to find them, you won't be able to find them. These stores actually sell stuff on Bricklink too, so the prices of the pieces are quite equal. Another thing that I would note, is that the Lego sets in Hong Kong are roughly 10-15% more expensive than in Canada. So just do some currency conversion and you'll find out how much more you'll have to pay. As for sales, seriously, holding sales for products is a store decision, so just keep track of any advertisements, magazines, flyers, anything that would tell you where sales are.

i was wondering if anyone can make me a decal for a really really really really fat man. I'm planning to make him normal minifig size, but I want someone to think, "that fig is huge" just by looking at the decal design. There's no picture I can use to show it, but hopefully something like, a really fat guy in a small white shirt that doesn't cover much up. It's for my Blob fig (for the Wolverine movie).

In my earlier post, I said I would make the remaining characters from the movie. Here they are (and I have decided to incorporate them nicely into a poster): This is the real one: Here's my LEGO version: All the decals etc etc are my own creation. Hope you guys like it! ~tin7
