  1. Just buy it used from marketplace/ebay. There is no point in buying new sets unless you are too rich or live in windowless laboratory.
  2. @apemax That is good news indeed. Thanks for sharing this.
  3. I've spotted the newly patendet heavy duty joint assembly in the upcoming T-Rex skeleton, which is massive!
  4. Maybe not quite 2025 material, but you can vote now for BDP Series 7 sets, including this awesome "Santa Fe" inspired train set: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-7/2552/Cherryliner-Express-Train or this here: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-7/2521/Trans-Continental-Express
  5. Dude, you nailed it! Even the color scheme looks spot on. Too bad we will never see something like this in official sets, even though old construction vehicles would be better suited for squared LEGO bricks.
  6. That's awesome! Thanks! P.S. Found this news post from 2007. Apparently the site almost got shut down due to financial limitations by the owner 18 years ago! It's a wonder it survived this long and remained free. https://www.brothers-brick.com/2007/07/16/brickshelf-shutting-down-july-31-2007/
  7. That's because it doesn't hold / assemble a ball joint. Just tested it at home and it's too wide. The piece that CaDA is using is their own design and therefore also new.
  8. @SNIPE You clearly haven't used it much or you wouldn't say it was "horrible to use". And why put everything on Rebrickable? Not everything on Brickshelf are MOC's. There are a lot of set builds, reverse engineered models, renderings etc. The most practical thing with Brickshelf for me was the ability to maintain the folder structure even if you'd delete and re-upload a new file with the same name, maintaining the link that was posted here in the forums. That way I could work on a Studio file or rendering and update it and users would still be able to access the latest version. Now I am left in the dry because Bricksafe won't accept new accounts. :(( @aFrInaTi0n Any chance to scrape also other type of files besides .png from Brickshelf? e.g. .ldr, .ldd, .dat, .mpd, .io, etc.? There are tons of digital models of MOCs which are much more useful than a bunch of shaky low res images in dark rooms. I also found .svg files of vector images from old theme logos from @oleth. It would be a shame to loose those too.
  9. Wow! What nice looking, curvy locomotive and passenger wagons. Wish LEGO would sell individual train modules and make proper model scale sets again. 10 wide gets really good level of detail on regular tracks. It would also be high time for a 1x3 grille tile. Kinda strange that it doesn't exist yet. We even have a 1x3 Technic Brick nowadays.
  10. Nice find and we get directly 20 pieces all at once.
  11. @efferman Thank's for the photos of the AMG GT3! But we want to see EVERYTHING! :D Do you have details about the other 2025 newcomers? Nvm, there really wasn't anything more on display.
  12. This is indeed a sad news for old-school Brickshelf users like me. Even if I have all my files locally, all my posts with links to images and .io files would lead to nirvana. I'll ask some of the local LEGO blogs if they have an interest in acquiring the site.
  13. Looks just as slick as the new tires. ;) And of course they skipped over the most interesting set, the JCB excavator :(
  14. Hope that AMG has all printed pieces and not stickers that cover multiple parts. @T Lego is this your set perhaps or another one of Bruno's creations?
  15. Nice work on the excavator! How many gears does the gearbox have and is there a purpose to it other than spinning the fake engine at different speeds when pushing the model around? Might I suggest you use one of these for organizing (at least the small parts like pins and gears):
  16. And here I was worried in the morning that the forum got hacked, because it kept asking for my username and password and spitting out 401 error if I didn't. Will take some time to get used to this new design. A proper dark theme would be great, because with this mod I can barely distinguish the grey icons. I don't remember having to click twice to quote a post. Is this new with the checkmark and multiquotes?
  17. Good find. I did not notice that in the model. Then just use two 2L pins and leave the middle free. I know about the part nr. changes. The firetruck also received a 4125 set nr. even though it came out in 2024.
  18. Looks to me like all decorations are printed, which makes this set even more awesome. The small Speed Champion sized Sauber F1 also had only printed parts. There's also this image: I know these CaDA newcomers are not Master level, but still look pretty cute for kids:
  19. Here's the Studio file, in case you missed out on the make & take: 6562113.io
  20. Yes, but Lego shop is not retail. It's D2C.
  21. As @AVCampos writes there is precedent and it's clear from the disappearance of PUp from lego.com that the system is dead. The RC Porsche GT4 also uses a USB-C rechargeable hub similar to these. Spike had the same angular motors as Technic sets used and also some miniature ones. Now I only hope we will see sensors and smart hubs in Technic too, since Mindstorms is also dead and burried and Education sets are never available in retail.
  22. Because they receive a new element ID and part nr. and get treated as such by Studio and database admins too, whereas recolours only get a new element ID but the part nr. remains the same.
  23. RIP PoweredUp. This will be the new motorization system:
  24. It was just a joke. LEGO also thinks the same way, hence the optional stickers. Prints are way too durable for display models anyway and limit part reusability.
  25. Nice, but you forgot the licensed stickers. Without them you can't tell that it's a Ducati Panigale. ;) Did anyone notice that there's apparently an unwritten rule at TLG that bevel gears shouldn't mesh with spur gears? It's consistent in all the years since the new spur gear versions of 12T, 16T, 20T, etc. appeared.
