  1. @T Lego Really cool, that you're it's creator. Thanks for confirmation, even though it must be frustrating to have it revealed via a leaked image. While the Lotus doesn't entice me that much, at least not at that price tag, an Audi RS6 is much closer to reality and "home", so a must buy for the 1:8 collection. Really glad DoubleE is not just focused on unaffordable hypercars like TLG and picks cool licenses and models which do not intersect with the Danes too much. @Sokolov Edward Thanks for the recommendation on C61082. I bought it this week second had including motorization for 100€. I just have to replace two gears because the previous owner damaged them, so half the gearbox functions did not work. Hope CaDA can send me those for free. But I finished the undercarriage and it was a really fun build. So many unique and useful pieces. Wish we could order CaDA parts like on Bricks & Pieces. Btw, I'm currently waiting for the Hayabusa and Space Shuttle Discovery to arrive next week. I'll post a pictorial review here once I built the motorcycle.
  2. Looks gorgeous in dark blue! The only thing that is questionable is the source of the leak. Can't find anything on the internet about this set.
  3. @kelceycoe Thanks for the photos, but could you please photograph each page individually without your finger and hand covering everything? Saving the pics to pdf would also be helpful.
  4. Beats me. LEGO logic... But the names are irrelevant anyway. The categories are and it's listed under Miscellaneous>Functional elements same as the cardan and cv joints. Strangely the universal joint is listed under Connectors>Connectors.
  5. I believe that the short stem pump is simply a design oversight or it was not a needed for some sets where linkages were used. The pump has to have the long stem because it contains the spring which when compressed takes up 18mm. So in order to have a full 3mm stroke of the cylinder the pump stem has to be just as long plus the length of the spring = 48mm. So the listings of pumps you see, where no spring is included is actually just the cylinder as you cannot remove it without cutting the plastic (see Link). So I think the long stem pump was used later on after the design was updated, the short was simply an initial cost saver because it contained the same parts as a cylinder plus a simple spring.
  6. Only 4 new parts have been added to PaB this month: But you can now very conveniently see all the colors a part comes in. E.g. all beam type elements. Note how a half beam costs just as much as a full beam even though it's half the amount of plastic or how a beam with alternating holes costs double than one with regular holes, even though it's the same amount of plastic. ;)
  7. Very impressive mosaic for the lion crest and windows. I wish this was an official throne room set instead of the Xth Star Wars version.
  8. Yey! So the Lotus is 1:8 after all, even though the price is pretty hefty for a non-motorized hypercar. I will probably get it second hand then. I received the BYD last week but haven't had time to open and build it. Now I only need the Mazda RX-7 to put on those nice Goodyear tires. ;)
  9. @kbalage If you type in 88021 in the search bar on LEGO.com/en-us a price of 29.99 USD appears. But the item page is not yet accessible.
  10. Where all the other official certifications are listed. Here: https://www.lego.com/en-de/legal/notices-and-policies/compliance
  11. Was just about to post that too. The battery pack comes with 2 Technic pins w/ bushes lol. @kbalage Now we know why they changed the Porsche GT4 too. Here's an image of the box: https://assets.legal.services.lego.com/ecerts/6568563_122857_ukdoc_en_10422077.pdf
  12. In case you don't receive newsletters, here is an interesting promo: Just add both items to your cart (car and tires).
  13. That wannabe "new" influencer has no idea what he is talking about. I stopped watching any of his reviews after the second video. Maybe reading from a script like all the pros are doing and some actual technical knowledge would help. Luckily we have good old RB. ;) I think this set is pretty cool, function rich and I wouldn't mind having a Space themed set every year. But my guess is the designers are already running out of ideas and TLG would rather make more licensed cashcows in black boxes of death.
  14. That is indeed very noble of you. Keep up the creative work. Bricklink Studio used to enable uploading MOC's there and people could download the full Studio file, regardless of it being based on IP licenses or anything. Now those are blocked because of LEGO and set to "for display only" so people don't bother to upload cool stuff there anymore including me. I am sure TLG is already planning on how to acquire Rebrickable too which would be a catastrophe.
  15. That is just speculation, as there is no mention of construction toys or Mattel Brick Shop in particular on that 7 month old press-release. There is only the mention about playsets, which are action figures and the like. Now speaking of throwback time and nostalgia for good old times... remember the Technic lineup from 2012-2013? There was just ONE licensed set and it was not a car, but basically the GOAT Technic set. I can't believe how low they have fallen in the last decade. Even the marketing material for malls like Galeria in Germany were outstanding! That Unimog got me out of the dark ages.
  16. Nice find! Interesting color for the Lotus, if it's 1:8, I will buy it for sure. Can't wait for the Hayabusa! I absolutely loved the Katana (see my review in earlier post) and as a motorcyclist a must have.
  17. If you'd have checked the part names and which sets they were used in, you'd quickly realize that these socket elements all use different ball diameters, hence not compatible to each other. 39370 only fits the 19mm (=2.4 studs) ball 52629 44358 only fits 3x3 hemisphere elements 44359 92911 only fits the 18mm (=2.2 studs) steel ball 99948 and the 92910 Ball Joint Pivot Frame
  18. Perfect candidate for your next CaDA Master set perhaps? I'd certainly buy it, even though I detest the F&F franchise, but I love the Evo IX. Don't know how you manage to bring this much level of detail to Technic, but this looks more like an RC car than a construction toy.
  19. In case anyone else wants to use the new 3x3 Triangle Technic Panel in their digital builds, before it's officially added to Studio, here's the file: https://limewire.com/d/ourm5#PQysgLfDtu
  20. Thanks a lot! Wow! That makes it the hardest spring out there. The adjustability is awesome, and I imagine you can switch the coil spings out pretty easily if you need it to be softer. I just measured LEGO's hardest spring, the 11.5L which is around 2300g on lowest setting and ~3200-3300g on highest just before end-stop.
  21. The servos only move the upper excentric connection point. The wheel on the shock absorber is to increase spring rate and decrease travel.
  22. Can you please measure the force in lowest and highest setting with a kitchen scale and post it here? Remember 8279, that set also used this kind of suspension adjustment but it did it with one M-motor and all 4 sides simultaneously. I was waiting in vain for LEGO to release a Technic set with this function again. Luckily we have CaDA now who does the better sets. LEGO could have also made their new shock absorbers like this, but instead put a fake plastic spring coil with no spring rate adjustment whatsoever, because their supercars are just meant to sit on a shelf for display.
  23. Those images are from the official patent registration: https://euipo.europa.eu/eSearch/#details/designs/015110889-0004
  24. Spotted black 12T bevel gears and grey 14x4mm tires (2 of each) in the new Game Boy. And what I strongly hope are white 3L pins w/ friction.
  25. Large motorized models tend to be pretty heavy, so a harder spring that doesn't sag when left on the shelf is a good thing. LEGO's failed designs with the Chiro and Sian show how not to choose spring rates.
