  1. Something isn't right. There is no mismatch between sticker color and elements. Must be a pre-production prototype. And did they actually bother to hide the ugly brown axles sticking out from the wheels for once? ...because the intention is clear that the stickers will "stand out": https://www.afdl.it/images//set/4/42224/42224_360_SoMe.mp4
  2. It's okay for 10 bucks. One geared function is the bare minimum. It would have been cooler to have also articulated steering with a simple mechanism.
  3. What is it about y'all being excited about an 89 cent gear so much? Just buy it from B&P's. 1/3 of this "good parts pack" is just 2 cent pins anyway.
  4. The red bushes for the wheels (when there are grey ones otherwise included), red axles and the white 3x5 liftarm and axle pin connector (when they could have been just black) completely ruin the otherwise clean look. Missing taillight and rotor discs instead of ugly colored bushes is also lame and a clear downgrade from 42132 just as the missing engine detailing to fill the empty frame.
  5. Poor unicorns. If you are allergic to color vomit, this set is not for you. And yes, there is a diff, but that doesn't make this set any better.
  6. Just came here to say what an absolute garbage first wave of 2026 sets we get. Not even the 10 Euro motorcycle is usable.
  7. @Sokolov Edward Thanks for the link! Yes, it's a pity about the Hypercars, but I can understand the reason why. I prefer the paper instructions anyway.
  8. Without the stickers it will most definitely look like a Batmobile. Btw, that rubber element is connected to the exhaust so that it "bends" when you hinge open the rear engine cover. 3/4 done
  9. OK, it's feasible and no illegal techniques or rubber pieces needed with 6° roof angle: The rubber piece is used her:
  10. Not yet. Looks like the roof angle is 6°, so I was not so much off with 7° in my build.
  11. I see, but don't forget that the whole roof is at an angle including the connection to that beam. So Pythagoras will not give an answer here. I am also struggling to find the connection point on the chassis since I don't know the exact angle of the roof slanting. I think it's too steep now and the 6L beam will just connect with the blue pin on the 5th hole, right?
  12. I don't want to ruin your math nerd conversation, so I'll just continue building... Btw, that triangle's hypotenuse is a 6L beam not 5L.
  13. I can understand that, but we also have Forum guidelines/rule that clearly state: "If you find an image of a new LEGO set and it is incredibly blurry or stamped "Confidential", it is a leak-please don't post it here. If you are uncertain, PM a member of the staff for guidance and include a link to the questionable material."
  14. I know the rush to be the first to post new images and infos for some is high, but can we still keep the leaked low res images to a minimum, if not zero? We all know Reddit by now and where to find them.
  15. Most likely just a lever to pop-up the hood a little so adults can lift it up easier. Btw, I counted wrong. There are indeed 792 pieces in my list and with the sticker sheet it sums exactly up to 793.
  16. Thanks for the compliments, but I did not count the pieces based on the pics. That would be insane! I just manually placed each element nr. one-by-one in the replacement part form until it said max.inventory for element reached. It used to be much simpler when they showed the piece count directly. https://www.lego.com/en-gb/service/replacement-parts/missing/42223/pieces?search=* Yes, I wrote it in the corner: 4 golden rims, 2 tires and 2 a-pillars.
  17. Here's the part list with the number of piece (boy was that tedious to do manually). If I counted correctly, I'm only missing 2 pieces, one of which is the sticker sheet. Hope the creative B-model MOC'ers on this forum come up with something nicer, before this ugly thing hits the market.
  18. Don't be so harsh, there are only 50 blue 3L and 40 blue 2L pins with axle out of 793 in this set. ...and an extraordinary number of six 12T bevel gears. If this isn't real Technic, I don't know what is.
  19. @Timorzelorzworz To make matters worse, these parts come in multiple color variants for the same type, so it's not even a color coding thing any more. e.g you have red and dark grey 3l pins with axle or half pins w/ friction, axles in all colors, bushes in black and red etc. Here's the replacement part list, sadly without exact piece count in set (I hate that they removed that useful feature):
  20. @Zerobricks, @Stereo Ok, I checked my part inventory closer and the half beams really have more pronounced shrinkage dimples. Regular beams don't look that bad, at least older pieces. I guess the half beams look worse because they are made of a different, more reflective plastic, hence also the more vibrant colors. It's also these type of parts and clip plates that have the uglier, broken sprue marks visible. So I wouldn't necessarily say the quality is good.
  21. Poor LEGO, sadly no budget left to make one slightly different rim for a licensed display set. Which one looks more like the source model?
  22. What kind of quality control is this?! Never saw half beams look this bad before. Those visible gaping holes on the triangular panels are really ugly as well. And why not simply recolor these new rims that would have matched 1000 times better? And where are the Good Year prints on the wheels if they dared to put "Race Car" in the product name.
  23. 18+ because the price is now premium. Every decoration is a sticker, the truck rims look hideous and the colourful pins and axles stand out like sore thumbs. They didn't even bother to put at least some half bushes on the axle ends sticking out on the wheels. Sorry, but this scale doesn't work for LEGO Technic at all. What a disappointment for such an iconic car and even more if Milan is behind it, as I'm sure he pitched this model.
