  1. I'm already working on reverse engineering this lovely little set. I see a bunch of recolors like 1x9 flip-flop beams or the 10197 connector in lbg. Driving ring in dbg is also pretty rare, previously used in the Kawasaki Ninja.
  2. Thanks for the help @Timewhatistime and @Stereo. I believe it's done like this (have 65 pieces now). The silhouette is matching the tiny image in the upper right with the designer. Sorry that I cannot post the Studio file (due to Brickshelf still being offline), but here's the part list:
  3. Maybe someone has a better idea how the links are connected. I am missing 2 pieces and that 4-4 beam is not aligning properly, so something must be wrong.
  4. Did someone wish for a recolor of the T-Rex heavy duty joint and 4x at that?
  5. What bugs me most is the use of the same old PUp remote and train motor. Wasn't it supposed to be discontinued with the remote still being on 40% sale and the battery box/hub sold out month ago?
  6. Did anyone use the new wishbone suspension arms as a torsion beam rear suspension in small cars? Not sure if they are made of rigid ABS as they would easily break. The way the longitudinal ribs are designed would also suggest that some torsion is possible at the pin holes.
  7. Excellent use of reddish orange for such a clean looking bodywork. It's nice to see the good old PF system still being used today. Too bad that the death of this system also meant the death of the SBrick (they now only sell lighting kits).
  8. Because if a kid would push the helicopter really fast on the floor the rotor blades would fall out due to centrifugal force.
  9. Here's my interpretation of the Gyrocopter: 412503.io
  10. @Ngoc Nguyen 42211's full name is "Lunar Outpost Moon Rover Space Vehicle". Now that's a mouthful. :)) Also, 42214 is missing "Car" and 42215 missing "Excavator" at the end of their name.
  11. Here's the Studio file with all parts accounted for: 40786.io
  12. When I see that connector, all I can think about are equilateral truss bridges & crane arms. :)
  13. Just buy it used from marketplace/ebay. There is no point in buying new sets unless you are too rich or live in windowless laboratory.
  14. @apemax That is good news indeed. Thanks for sharing this.
  15. I've spotted the newly patendet heavy duty joint assembly in the upcoming T-Rex skeleton, which is massive!
  16. Maybe not quite 2025 material, but you can vote now for BDP Series 7 sets, including this awesome "Santa Fe" inspired train set: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-7/2552/Cherryliner-Express-Train or this here: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-7/2521/Trans-Continental-Express
  17. Dude, you nailed it! Even the color scheme looks spot on. Too bad we will never see something like this in official sets, even though old construction vehicles would be better suited for squared LEGO bricks.
  18. That's awesome! Thanks! P.S. Found this news post from 2007. Apparently the site almost got shut down due to financial limitations by the owner 18 years ago! It's a wonder it survived this long and remained free. https://www.brothers-brick.com/2007/07/16/brickshelf-shutting-down-july-31-2007/
  19. That's because it doesn't hold / assemble a ball joint. Just tested it at home and it's too wide. The piece that CaDA is using is their own design and therefore also new.
  20. @SNIPE You clearly haven't used it much or you wouldn't say it was "horrible to use". And why put everything on Rebrickable? Not everything on Brickshelf are MOC's. There are a lot of set builds, reverse engineered models, renderings etc. The most practical thing with Brickshelf for me was the ability to maintain the folder structure even if you'd delete and re-upload a new file with the same name, maintaining the link that was posted here in the forums. That way I could work on a Studio file or rendering and update it and users would still be able to access the latest version. Now I am left in the dry because Bricksafe won't accept new accounts. :(( @aFrInaTi0n Any chance to scrape also other type of files besides .png from Brickshelf? e.g. .ldr, .ldd, .dat, .mpd, .io, etc.? There are tons of digital models of MOCs which are much more useful than a bunch of shaky low res images in dark rooms. I also found .svg files of vector images from old theme logos from @oleth. It would be a shame to loose those too.
  21. Wow! What nice looking, curvy locomotive and passenger wagons. Wish LEGO would sell individual train modules and make proper model scale sets again. 10 wide gets really good level of detail on regular tracks. It would also be high time for a 1x3 grille tile. Kinda strange that it doesn't exist yet. We even have a 1x3 Technic Brick nowadays.
  22. Nice find and we get directly 20 pieces all at once.
  23. @efferman Thank's for the photos of the AMG GT3! But we want to see EVERYTHING! :D Do you have details about the other 2025 newcomers? Nvm, there really wasn't anything more on display.
  24. This is indeed a sad news for old-school Brickshelf users like me. Even if I have all my files locally, all my posts with links to images and .io files would lead to nirvana. I'll ask some of the local LEGO blogs if they have an interest in acquiring the site.
  25. Looks just as slick as the new tires. ;) And of course they skipped over the most interesting set, the JCB excavator :(
