  1. Brick Depot has to keep the same embargo's as every RLFM member because they represent the whole chain of certified LEGO stores in Romania.
  2. @1gor We know you have a lot of knowledge of F1 cars or the industry but we are talking about a plastic construction toy that needs 1 or at most 1.5 years from sketch-model to series production. Surely the real 2022 F1 car was not conceived in a few month and the livery is just a sticker that can be changed last minute. I don't get it why so many AFOL's are defending TLG or say it was not just their decision to bring out an inaccurate licensed model of a real car especially for the most expensive motorsport industry. Where does "Build for real" and "only the best is good enough" fit in this picture? You know why 42000 was so successful? Because it didn't rely on a useless license and the function stood much higher over display value. That is what LEGO Technic should be all about and not just a platform to advertise brands.
  3. I'm loving your compact, function packet MOC. And thanks for the rendering of the interior. If only TLG made more of this and less inaccurate, licensed display vehicles.
  4. If at least the bodywork was the 2022 car, but not even that is accurate. Rear and tail fin are off, spoiler too high, air scoops are missing, the front suspension is wrong (should be pull-rod), the nose is too big, even the wheel covers are off.
  5. The comparison to the Zetros update is not appropriate in this case. They HAD to fix the design due to the negative reviews and customer complaints same as they fixed the jamming engine on the concrete mixer truck. With the F1 car they simply screwed up similar to how they sometimes don't depict Star Wars models as they appear in the on-screen reference by having too little information on the source material or by being deliberately kept in the dark in case something leaks out. Imagine the shitstorm it would have caused if the leaked video images would have been of the actual 2022 McLaren livery. Still, all this could be avoided if TLG would stop releasing the most recent model. By the time the set reaches EOL it will be outdated anyway so why even bother? The older stuff is technically more interesting anyway and easier to depict in LEGO form.
  6. What do you think the 2 pictures I attached show?
  7. Nothing of the 2022 F1 car looks like the LEGO model so why the hell did they release it as such? It's more a concept car with 2021 style livery. Not even a new sticker sheet can fix this because the panels are also the wrong color.
  8. 2 studs more on the widest side so 5x5x3. Can be used as an extension with the part you show.
  9. I've made an Ldraw file for the 3x19 frame if you want to use it for your builds. For use in Studio the 3 files have to be put separately in the connectivity, collision and parts folder under C:\Users\Your_user_name\AppData\Local\Stud.io\CustomParts. https://brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=584078
  10. Totally agree. Just look at how much wasted space there is between the seat and engine to fit any kind of simple gearbox or rear hood mechanism. Plus new, slick tires, with prints and different width would have been mandatory for a licensed F1 car.
  11. Just check news sites like stonewars.de. They always post the full set of promotional pictures.
  12. You can clearly see the real ones are slicks as I said. And why would Pirelli change their own color coding for 2022? Oh, and the printing is still on the tire and not on the covers.
  13. Exactly my point. Everyone thought last years Ferrari 488 was a let down, but this here is on the same level if not worse. LMAO. "LEGO sets these days are much more advanced than 25 years ago"
  14. This set is a step backwards compared to previous 1:8 scale F1 cars 20! years ago. The only new piece besides the trapezoidal fairings is a new 3x11 frame in black. I also counted over 65 stickers. They couldn't even bother to print the 8x8 tiles with the wrong P Zero livery.
  15. Don't worry, it's just an artifact from the heavy compression of the screenshot taken from the 360° animation rendering.
  16. I know, they didn't roll out globally yet. But don't wait too long if you are in need of Technic parts. The rear BMW tyre costs more than 25€ now!
  17. Does a blue P Zero wet track tire even exist? Thought the wet track have their own tradename "Cinturato". Not only that, but I think they made a mistake with the tires. It seems there is no blue P Zero wet track tire. The wet and intermediate have their own tradename "Cinturato" and "P Zero" are always slicks. Unless they are brand new for 2022, which would make the leak a spoiler for Pirelli as well not just McLaren. P Zero light blue is color code for Ice hard slicks. So double fail. Strangely, they did it right on the Speed Champions F1 car. Does one team really not know what the other is doing in TLG?
  18. LEGO just silently updated the B&P and merged it to PaB. The prices like for the new BMW Technic elements or animals have doubled!!! Really regret not buying the new wheels and shock absorbers before today.
  19. Makes sense. LEGO usually never reveals something new on a Friday. It's always Tuesday or Thursday.
  20. What about the official LEGO changes in the instructions? I think it's at least worth to mention them here, since they did fix 3 issues: hood, door and emblem. Sadly not the more technical ones like rear suspension and axle. That one extra 16T gear makes all the difference.
  21. This is why I hate such dumb leaks. And it's a valid reason for licensing partners to skip the next cooperation project with LEGO. Apart from the colors nothing much can be seen anyway and people just start guessing. Let's just wait a few days, shall we?
  22. Well, I guess this snapshot confirms different sized gears after all. Maybe 12T+20T or 14T+18T spur gears. The latter would make more sense to widen the ratio possibilities since 12 and 20 already exist.
  23. Eureka! It's not 80286 but a dbg 99773 thin triangle liftarm combined with a regular thin 5L liftarm. It makes so much sense and fits perfectly between the shocks to enable 2 bevel gears. So I think I finally cracked the mystery of the winch.
  24. Didn't think a gear color could start such a long debate. They are both same sized, axle driven 16T gears (just count the teeth on 1/4 circumference). They look different in size in the 360 animation because of the upward tilted frame and perspective view. Maybe they made them orange because of material or design change, like being able to slide on the axles like the red 8T.
