  1. Now that we can see the small flipping function image better, I guess there is a pop-up mechanism for the cabins or the sprockets shift up or down depending on the side it drives. That orange cabin sticks out too much otherwise. And I think the yellow is the new neon yellow color used in 2022 City sets. https://www.stonewars.de/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/lego-katalog-1-hj-2022-technic-42140.jpg
  2. Most likely. So I think that grey part is a small linear actuator not a shock absorber. You can see the red changeover catch + axle w. ball for the distribution box right underneath the front mudguard.
  3. Since the 1x11 beam is available in dark azure (same as the 3x5) the 1x4 half beam should also be that color. It's not green enough to be teal. Then again, maybe I'm off with the colors again.
  4. Here we go again with the conspiracy theories. It's just because not everyone can afford the latest iPhone/DSLR camera or is a skilled photographer. Besides, you lose image quality after every transfer or upload.
  5. It's so sad when a 10$ set has more functions than the 50$ set and even manages to include a great B-model, which looks like a cherry picker rather than a tow truck. P.S. The color is dark azure, not dark turquoise (teal) since that 1x11 liftarm is not available in teal. P.P.S. Then again those 1x4 thin liftarms should be a recolor.
  6. Most likely. You would otherwise see the spring if the back 2 axles had shock absorbers. Let's hope it's at least a 6x4 set-up.
  7. I corrected the image in Photoshop a little and came to the conclusion the olive is just lime. And I definitely see some orange liftarms. The tan looking parts are probably chromatic aberrations caused by the light source and also lime.
  8. Never mind the post. Thought the polybag was not posted yet.
  9. Thanks for the poll. Hope it will be read by LEGO too. But what happened to the LEGO Technic poll from February this year? Did the LAN post the results or what was the outcome of this? Surely the conclusion wasn't that we need 4 pull back sets and only cars and bikes without close to 0 functions...
  10. Notice that mono-wheel on the cabin? So it won't even change it's track shape to pull back the cabin and prevent it touching the floor. So much for the ability to "transform". And again the features are misleading with the "alternative control" showing a joystick+hand as opposed to the "main control" with a smart device. Of course both are only on the smart device!
  11. Many sets get more expensive next year, even the current ones from 2021 to "equalize the price differences between western Europe countries". Funny thing is LEGO also stated some sets will get cheaper due to this, but none of them are. It only goes upwards. Therefore I am not surprised by these inflated Technic set prices. Anyway, the things I used to buy at 30% discount will have to wait till they reach 40%. In the end the market controls the prices and the RRP is just a magic unicorn.
  12. So it's basically 42065/42095 that can flip 180° on it's back but 50€ more expensive and lacking the physical remote control? Wow LEGO, really creative. The reverse side is probably supposed to compensate for the lack of the B-model again? Please include the obligatory fart sounds feature in the App.
  13. I know, that's why it's a nice comeback after 16 years. Besides, in Technic it was only used in 8435, so it's pretty rare and now it can be bought for 7 cents at B&P. 8415 even had it in blue exclusively. Seems the color coding argument is pretty useless if Disney gets an otherwise yellow or light bley part in a new color. So I wonder if we'll see the white half bush in the next wave of Technic sets. Maybe in the Formula 1 car or 1:8 scale supercar.
  14. This part is used in the Frozen castle: Waiting for the day the blue pins will finally get a new color. Seems we got a fair amount of new parts and recolors this year. https://brickset.com/parts/platform-Technic/year-2021
  15. This set clearly took at least 2 years in the making since Samuel's last set was the Top Gear Rally car from 2020 and 8 new parts especially this complex take more time than simple fairing pieces. The panels were designed specifically for the two 50$ pullback sets from 2022 and most likely decided on this year. Maybe @grohl can confirm this.
  16. Excellent review, Milan! While I don't think we need a standalone picture of every unopened bag, I admire your dedication to finish the review just in time while providing so many details and RL facts. Also from one biker to the other I feel you. Still, I would have preferred functionality over looks for a Technic set and not mentioning a single function on the box or instructions is a bad trend for this theme. If it's not important for 18+ why even include it and not just make a brick built realistic looking model in the Creator Expert line-up like the HD? P.S. Cardan shaft drive is not so rare. Even BMW has it in their GS1200 models. I was glad when LEGO did that set and at least got that detail right. P.P.S. I wonder if the new larger UCS Hulkbuster will fit this bike just as well as the previous one fit the Fat Boy. The Defender also had the gears reversed especially the hi and low shifter. Had to cut the sticker in half and aply them reversed to fix it. Basically all Technic sets have the ratios wrong since they make the engine run faster in higher gears instead of the other way around.
  17. Without the stickers it looks hideous just like the 488 did. https://www.techlug.fr/review-lego-technic/42130/moto-bmw-m-1000-rr-42130-samuel-tacchi-2022
  18. Of course they opted for the cheaper re-use of front rim for the back and just fitted a wider tire on but at UCS 1:5 scale I would have expected a more accurate tire and rim ratio plus the real number of gears too. Guess it will be just another Technic motorcycle with a hefty license fee included. Adjustable rear suspension, braking function or lights would have made this set stand out. I'll only buy it cause I own a real F700GS.
  19. Kinetic sculptures yes please, but if you look at the Harry Potter birds it's again disappointing.
  20. Probably the worst first wave in Technic history. Absolutely no functions except in the smallest motorcycle which is also weak. A pullback vehicle that can run in a straight line is not LEGO Technic. We have enough vehicles in Speed Champions and 18+ line but now they mix in Batman as well? What's next, a Disney Cinderella carriage made of Technic parts with a pullback motor?
  21. The new UCS AT-AT has a new smaller Technic gear rack 7x7 curved, Defender rims, motorcycle rims and 1x11 flip-flop liftarms in light bluish grey plus large turntable top in dark bluish. I guess we'll see them in 2022 in Technic sets as well.
  22. I'm back with some pictures of my modded Zetros. These tires, although not totally realistic looking, are performing much better at climbing. I managed a 50° inclination on cardboard with them (with stock only about 42°). Of course together with the mandatory mods from RM8 for the rear shocks, differential and the door+hood fixes. Too bad the ultra low turning radius cannot be easily modified.
  23. Yes, that one is 5x5 and this one 4x4 thus bridging the gap that was existing for years.
  24. Thanks for the review, Jim. Actually the front tires are only about 12% smaller in diameter than the rear ones, they just aren't so wide and the suspension is lower. I guess the LEGO designers had to choose 56mm ones cause there are no 60mm to match the source material better. That's why the front wheel arch looks so out of place on the LEGO model. New fenders would have been nice, working suspension even better.
